Did an hour ERT on it (Lightning Rod ) today. Amazing ride. Crazy to say as I still have parks in the US this trip but I can't wait to get back to Sweden to go on Wildfire. -
Tallest coaster you've been on.

Kingda-Ka as a launch. Fury 325 as a chain lift. -
Best Roller Coaster you rode THIS MONTH!

If you'd asked me yesterday I would have said something else but I had 1 hour ERT on Lightning Rod at Dollywood today. Nuff said. -

It's not a "rattle". It's the train hitting the trims to slow it through the final inversion. Ride is smooth and good. Did several laps on it on Monday. -

They do serve beer, you just can't leave the bar with it. It's available at Chickie's and Pete's, and at Battle Creek Barbecue. Boulevard Brewing Co. is KC's local mezzobrewery, and they make a huge number of seasonal and year-round varieties. They're most known for their unfiltered wheat, which is quite good and I believe on tap at both locations, if I'm not mistaken. Pehw, and that sounds awesome. I'm a huge fan of hefe-weiss. Thank's for the info. Isn't Chickie's just by the bottle? There is draft beer on the porch at Battlecreek Yeah, I know Battle Creek does. I thought C&P does too, but I could be wrong about that. I've only been in there once, and I'm too much of a cheapskate to buy beer at theme parks. Haha. A beer at your random pub in Sweden is about $10. How much is a beer at your standard themepark in the U.S.? -

Is WoF a "dry park"? I'm getting mixed reports. I know for a fact they had a BBQ and Brew festival with a lot of craft beer. Sounds strange if they normally don't serve beer. On my U.S. trip next week I just don't expect to raise my coaster count by over 100 - I expect to do the same with my Untappd account as well. I need my beer dammit! -

In that case I hope it's an Intamin prefab. The world needs more of those. -

Ugh. Wondered why I could see posts from Wily, Guy and a few others that I #blocked (see what I did there?) all of a sudden and realized I wasn't logged in. Anyway. Thanks for the photos, videos and reviews people. I can't wait until I get to ride it myself in a few weeks. -

I'd have to disagree (if we're going on looks alone, Lightning Rod will be my first RMC so I really havent even earned an opinion yet) and say the list goes Wildfire, Lightning Rod, Joker, Storm Chaser. Unfortunately I won't be riding Joker this year but I will be riding all the other 2016 RMCs in the upcoming weeks. -

Just add users that spam the thread (and those who quote them) to your foe-list and you don't have to read through their posts. I've added 7 people from this thread and it's wonderful. -

I'm still struggling to believe the fact that this thing is being built in Sweden. In Kolmården. I will ride the shit out of that coaster when I return from the U.S. -

For all we know it might have. Intamin did say themselves that 'The park made restraint modifications without Intamin's knowledge or approval'. This could just as probable have been a really skinny guy dying on the ride. And for the park to do something like that - Idiots. EDIT: I think it said that the whole thing came off in the news and didn't just open. Also, the park itself denied it would have to do with the deceased's weight early on. Another testimony to the fact that this was the parks fault and not Intamins is that they havn't changed the design of the restraint-system on other ZacSpins. -
Have you ever been on a coaster in the rain?
Swede replied to socalMAN123's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've done a few laps on El Toro in a real downpour for instance. It felt like my skin was being sandblasted off and someone was constantly poking my eyes at the same time. Still, some rides are just too damned good to pass up a few extra laps on even in a monsoon. -

Sorry. It will be the worlds largest Topple Tower and themed as a tree. -
All I know is that I'm not allowed to ride Steel Dragon 2000 after they changed trains. The max height of a rider now is just 6 foot (185cm) which is plain ridiculous for a northern European. I hope Godzilla ruins your park.

They are the ones who made it terrible by neutering it themselves. The Zac Spin at Gröna Lund lives up to the name Insane. Although I haven't tried the S&S I'm pretty sure they tuned it down as well since Alan Schilke said that when they were testing it out they were competing over who could make it spin the most (it's was designed so you could control the spinning with your bodyweight). I've never seen anyone flip non-stop from start to finish yet in a video.
