^Which houses look the best this year (I'm assuming you've seen most of them)? Joe "eagerly awaiting Saturday!" C. -

Wow yeah I would have been bitter if Hades was the only thing open and I hadn't ridden anything else in the park, but like you, I'd rather have Hades open than all the others. Hades rules! And lol to the guys shirt...I still think the shirt I saw at CP last weekend was better though -- it was a girl in a wheelchair that had a neon pink shirt which read "SEX ON WHEELS". Hilarious! Joe "great TR!" C. -
^Gotcha, yeah I was wondering if you thought CP was getting more than the Swing, which would have been news to me. Yeah, we were at the park on Friday night. Got there right at 6pm and did pretty much a lap on everything operating and went to get some provisions at Meijer since we were staying in a cabin at Lighthouse Pointe. Speaking of which, if you EVER get a chance to stay there with a group of friends, DO IT! It's definitely an annual thing now as I've never had that much fun at CP before. Joe "wonder what Brent knows about a new S&S!" C.

^^Um, weren't there pictures showing the supports to be a burnt orange color? I swear I saw them a couple pages back. The name isn't terrible, IMO, I think it is decently creative but damn that tagline sucks. EXTREMELY cheesy, but you know, what counts is the ride. ^ When I went to the gospel christian dealy earlier this year (they had one back in April and it was open til 1am) the park was seriously dead. Not walk ons for everything, but I waited maybe 15min for the front on scream, 40mins for X (rode it twice that night woohoo!), two trains for Goliath front, etc. The longest wait was RRv with about a 45min wait because the crew was terrible. Hopefully the lines are as short for you tonight! JC

If I had to bet, I'd say Orient is staying...but things change, so who knows. But yeah, I'd count on riding it again! And Skytower, too. I'd bet a large sum of money to say that it will not be taking the Great Gasp route. Now if it ever opens again, that's another topic altogether. J "I'm being less obnoxious, right? lol" C.

Not to get too off track of the flyer topic, but you mentioned that God-awful summer where big rides were running one train (I can't even imagine what the lines had to be like)...I never heard a reason for that. Why on Earth would they run one train on RRv and Batman in the middle of the summer!! And that's great that they usually don't run one train on X anymore...too bad everyone thinks it's so rough though (well, good for me, at least )! JC

Hey now, I don't hate anybody here! I'm just being my usual silly self, no harm meant. However, I don't even hate SFMM if you can believe it. I think it's capable of *much* better things, but I have to tell you, I haven't had a truly *terrible* visit there ever. I think I've been about 8 times there so far. I think the worst thing they do is open some main attractions late. That can start the day off on the wrong foot. BTW, random side note here, is X running two trains consistently even on lighter attended days, or do they drop to one? I don't think it'll be terribly busy when I go on Fri, Oct 7, so I'm hoping they still keep two on. Joe "full of love" C.

Discovery Channel Needs YOUR help!

First and foremost would have to be the newest B&M hyper to the family, Six Flags over Georgia's Goliath. Being my favorite coaster type, and the first to have no block brake, not to mention go over a road twice (well Silver Star does that, too), this ride seemingly will have no let-up throughout the course, and abundant airtime. Next would have to be SFGAd's Intamin Wooden Coaster...lots of airtime and a sure-fire smooth ride with a fantastic ending will make this one of the top wooden coasters in the world. The Voyage at Holiday World will almost certainly become many, many enthusiasts new #1 wooden coaster. One look at the virtual POV video on their site and I think it's pretty obvious why. SF Magic Mountain's Flying Coaster...well it's at SFMM so it's close to the production studio (I think) and it will be a pretty big ride utilizing some great terrain the park has to offer. Black Mamba at Phantasialand looks like it *could* be the most intense inverted since Nemesis. Even if it's not, the setting it's in has to be one of the coolest - diving through trenches pretty much the whole ride! Those would be my picks! Thanks for reading. JC -
Amazing pics, thanks! The views from some of those rides over the cliff were unbelievable. Definitely will have to make that trek over to Spain sooner than I thought. Glad to hear Tarantula was good, I absolutely adored Spider over in Lagoon, so I've wanted to ride all the ones overseas pretty badly. Thanks again for the TR and photos! JC

WOW I am so impressed with this ride so far. I honestly think it COULD be as good as Nemesis if it keeps the pace the whole ride. Wasn't there supposed to be a 5G helix at the end of this or am I just making stuff up? Joe "loves me some B&M inverteds" C. -
I can tell you what they WERE going to call it prior to KW picking a name for theirs... J "as for the name itself, that will be announced in about a week" C.
-
Exactly...it'll be BUILT to run three trains, but will SFMM run that many? I can't imagine them, but who knows. SFGAd ran all four trains on Ka (VERY well, too) so I'll hope for the best. It's going to be longer than the Superman flyers too, so the additional train will definitely help move the lines (God I hate how SFoG rarely ever uses their dual station - that line HAULS when they run three!). Even though everyone hates SFMM, I actually can't wait to go back in three weeks - we actually had an amazing two visits back in April. The park was dead on that Christian Music night (when they were open til 1am) and we got TONS of rides on everything, it was awesome! Joe "hopes it's like that again" C.
