  1. Mind Eraser, because it has almost no historical significance whatsoever. And it sucks. In all seriousness, Apocalypse (for the reason you mentioned), Wild One (a classic), or Superman--one if the first hypers of the new millennium (might actually be the first post-2000). Any is a solid choice.
  2. Why this is a title one would consider worth advertising is beyond me. "The worst stand-up you'll ride (once)! Ride soon before the wheel assemblies collapse since we've run out of parts!"
  3. While I agree in this case, almost everyone on the SFNE thread would like to have a few words.
  4. Did you read what I wrote? Alan Schilke said RMC has three projects coming out for 2016, not that I think he refuses to do more. He then went on to say there are already four projected for 2017. I'm confident this is because they only have the capacity to do a limited number of projects at a time since they are a smaller company.
  5. ^As I said, when Alan Schilke said three are planned (might've been IAApA 2014), Wildfire was planned for 2016. Seeing as reopening Twisted Twins in 2016 was announced even before then, one of the projects I listed as possible cannot be.
  6. ^check the last two pages of each respective thread. Almost every post has been on this topic. The SFStL RMC rumors are baseless and essentially put to rest as the park president stated I-Box for Boss is not happening.
  7. Didn't Alan Schilke say RMC had three projects slated for 2016? -Wildfire (planned for 2016 at the time) -Dollywood (heavily rumored) -SFDK or La Ronde (rumored) ...and now (porentially) Kentucky Kingdom Unless that number changed, which would seem unlikely, as these projects are much more than one year from initial concepts to media day, something is off.
  8. Seriously this site is literally full of people complaining. Hmm... maybe you're right. Exhibit A--your last several posts on this thread.
  9. Yeah... excluding all the recent Six Flags new coasters, there haven't been any new Six Flags coasters lately. Such a shame.
  10. The reason more Intamin prefabs weren't built is very simple. El Toro cost $25 million. Wikipedia is incorrect. Source: 2015 Winter Adventure at SFGAdv
  11. I think we get the point. You need to understand that Cedar Fair knows more about the amusment industry than you do, and has made Kings Dominion into an excellent park. Complaining day after day isn't changing anything, and I'm getting tired of listening to it.
  12. Add Roar east to that list, and remove the Scream Machine. Also, it's really tough to say for sure what coasters are under consideration. Some might add American Eagle to that list.
  13. ^With the rumor that there will be only one more Six Flags I-box transformation until 2018 or later, a custom RMC wooden coaster could do the park well in 2017, giving SFA potentially one of the strongest lineups of wooden coasters in the world--right up there with Holiday World and Six Flags Great America.
  14. Poorly engineered or not, I love the snap into the brakes. Its like one last "oh sh!t" moment of intensity.
  15. Thanks guys--I'll continue working on the park at whatever pace I'm able to. ^I absolutely enjoy working on it, but it's difficult to stay motivated in making a park for such a long period of time with so much of the work behind the scenes not seen at all; it doesn't always feel like it's worth the time, hence why I wanted to know if the interest is still there. AI appreciate it, everyone!
  16. Other than the Carowinds ad, I don't see anything remotely wrong with the site.
  17. I input my home park, Six Flags America, into the survey and was shown a 4D coaster as well. I then input Magic Mountain and Fiesta Texas, only to receive the same result. No guarantees this is what's happening at this point, IMO.
  18. If anyone is still interested, I can continue Frontier Forests' storyline over the coming months. If there is little or no interest I can scrap the project. Let me know if its worth my time--and I apologize for long delays, but that's life sometimes. Never would I have guessed this would last anywhere close to a year.
  19. ^It's because they removed the old splash pad and left a big open field right in the middle of the waterpark. They had to place a construction fence to block off the area anyway, so they just decided to place that banner so guests wouldn't be as upset when they found out that kiddie splash area is missing. I wouldn't read too much into it. Obviously there will be a waterpark expansion next year, but we can't rule the possibility of a dry park addition as well just yet. Something like Great Adventure's 2012 additions would be a great investment.
  20. 2016 will be a waterpark expansion for sure, but we don't know if it will just be a new splash pad, or an additional slide complex or even a ride on the dry side as well. It's up in the air at this point. Why do you say 2017 "should" be a flat ride? I'm all for adding flat rides, but there's only so long you can market and expand on years and years of inexpensive additions. You said it yourself, SFA is in a competitive market. This is something they can take advantage of though--this park has waited long enough and made such dramatic changes since its worst days. The park deserves it, the longtime visitors deserve to see this park take a much greater step. Its been inching forward for five years now--time to take the leap. A flat ride is not what this park needs most at this point.
  21. Made a shirt trip to the park today. Some notes/observations... Started the day with Gold pass entry in Mardi Gras. We ride Fireball, Wild One, Ragin Cajun, the Flyers and Voodoo drop all in about 20 minutes. This area looks very nice now and Fireball really completes the section and is a nice cut through to Gotham. We then took two rides on Jokers Jinx as it was closed my last visit, followed by a lap on Superman in the back and a ride on Batwing. Walked around for a bit (about noon at this point and the crowds picked up a bit), and decided to head back to Mardi Gras then Superman for rerides. After this, we left. Ride count: Superman: 2x Jokers Jinx: 2x Bourbon St Fireball: 2x One each on Wild One, the Flyers, Ragin Cajun, Voodoo Drop, and Batwing. Didn't ride Apocalypse or Mind Eraser because they suck and I didn't want a headache, skipped Roar running one train with a station wait, which is about 10 mins (which should say how much I dislike the ride as it is). This was the first time I rode Fireball. It was the first ride I took in the morning, and it was pretty enjoyable. My ride in the afternoon, however, was awful. For those wondering, it is manually operated, and the operator on my second ride held the vehicle hanging for a good 4-5 seconds without moving. Being hot, tired, hungry and dehydrated, this was not so much fun. After this I was pretty dizzy and decided to sit for a minute, take a ride on Superman and head home. It's a fine ride overall, I just wasn't a fan of dizzying combined with hanging motionless for more than a split second. Operations were okay/mediocre, staff was pretty good, park looked nice. Six Flags America could really use another major attraction. In my mind they've improved the park enough and rounded out the family ride selection enough to warrant a new coaster. Roar getting the Iron horse treatment is the best thing that could happen to the park right now, IMO. The park gets a little busier than in years past, but still nothing to worry about. On Sunday's you'll never wait more than 20 minutes for any ride. If you're interested in any of the Mardi Gras rides I'd say got here first as it gets a little busier than other parts of the park since its new. Have a great time!
  22. ^I'm sure its so they have the freedom to tell anyone they can't ride if it may be borderline without creating major disappointment. If they had a set height restriction and someone had unusual proportions, you couldn't deny them as easily without an argument/dispute. I think it's a smart way to go about it, however vague.
  23. ^There are other things to do at Hershey and in the surrounding area than there are in Jackson, NJ. If coasters aren't your thing, you're pretty limited at Gadv (not to say you can't enjoy a day there, but Hershey in general seems to have more appeal).
  24. ^It wouldn't surprise me... at Magic Mountain again Actually, now that I think about it, an RMC wooden coaster at Magic Mountain before an RMC elsewhere in California isn't out of the realm of possibility. We'll have to see when Cedar Fair jumps on board (or Discovery Kingdom).
