Now, I'm not dogging all the CF additions, as honestly, many of them appear to be good fits for their parks. But I do agree that typically, even though they're a bunch of cloned attractions (and coasters), Six Flags does put a lot more interesting additions into their parks, making their announcement more exciting. So true, I'd rather have a JL, S&S 4D, or a Zamperla flat ride packge over ANY of the additions KD, MiA, Dorney, WoF, or VF have gotten over the past 5 years. Bring back Dick Kinzel!! If Ouimet had been in charge of Cedar Fair earlier, rides like Talon, i305, Patriot, Goldstriker, Prowler, etc probably wouldnt exist.

I think Screamscape is being a tad over-zealous. According to them Six Flags is rumored to get 5 S&S 4Ds, an RMC of the other Roar, and 3 Justice Leagues. I don't think Six Flags is planning on that much capital spending for 2017.

I doubt it would be another Lightning Rod considering Mean Streak will probably be just another Iron Horse which I'm sure RMC can do in their sleep at this point.

I'd say they spent a decent amount of money, a ride like Riddler Revenge is probably around $4-5 million while Catwoman Whip was probably an additional $1-2 million. They probably spent close to the same amount Great Adventure spent on Joker.

They knew Apocalypse was garbage, they just thought most of the GP would be fooled by fresh paint and some theming.

I find it odd that they'd close down the entire movie district for a clone in a box. Unless they're planning on re-doing the entire area (which hopefully means a nice re-theme along with the JL and a couple of flats... lol yeah right) Interestingly enough, that entire area in front of Riddler and next to Tidal Wave is huge and could be repurposed for either a coaster that extends over from the old stunt show area or used for some kind of DC re-theme.

So the plaza in the Movie District is set to close sometime next month? I dont see the point in doing that unless the entire area is going to be revamped and/or part of the 2017 attraction will occupy that space. Interestingly enough, it's one of the better kept areas of the park. Although I can see why they would use that space for something else (if that's the plan).

Those S&S 4Ds are really fun, it would be a great addition to SFNE and would be one of the better rides in the park.

I agree, I feel like they'd need to add a significant amount of structure to the ride which defeats the purpose of the Iron Horse conversion.
