  1. The Britannia area is pretty poorly themed. Outside of Xcalibur + The Boss' theming, the rest of the area does not have any thing at all. How about they fix that for 2015 (with a eurofighter replacing the go-karts ).
  2. Water coaster Where would it go though? I wouldn't mind getting rid of Tidal Wave, if that's where it would be going. I can't really see the Log Flume going anywhere, and it just seems logical to use it as a sort of "upgrade".
  3. Alright guys, if you could have anything you wanted for the park in 2015, what would it be? I would personally like to see the area behind Skyscreamer and Tidal Wave to be developed into a nice and compact Gerstlauer coaster. Something that packs a punch. Maybe 130 degree drop?
  4. I got really excited when I saw the email for the East Coast tour. I started planning out logistics and how to convince my parents into letting me go (while covering my own cost). Then *SMACK* my idea was shot outta the sky. Dang.
  5. I rode the Boss three times in a row in the morning for Insane Coaster Wars last season, and while the ride wasn't smooth, it wasn't horrible at all. However, less than a month later it became horribly rough. Do I enjoy riding the Boss? Of course, because it is super intense, but it is definitely a horribly rough ride. Insane Coaster Wars was at our park? No way!
  6. This was my first question upon seeing the post. I agree with Robb that this would be an AMAZING addition to any park, but if it's pricey, chains such as Cedar Fair and Six Flags might be weary of purchasing these for anything but their flagship parks.
  7. I think that sometimes a line needs to be drawn between bumpiness and painful. I think that my first few rides on The Boss in 2007 were rough but still enjoyable. However, the ride has become so painful that, to me, I can't enjoy the ride anymore. In fact, I think the Boss has the potential to be a great ride without having its layout completely changed. Actually, I wouldn't mind just getting an I-Box treatment without changing the layout. Could we just do that?
  8. No problem, good questions! Yes, that's the Sunday of opening weekend. The first few weekends of the season usually has slower crews and a lot of rides are running one less train. For example, Bull will likely be running 2 trains, Superman UF will likely have 1 train, and so on. Goliath is scheduled to open on May 24th. Damn, that's really disappointing. I guess I'll have to pick and choose which rides I want.
  9. Pleasant Surprise 1.)Viper @SFGam: Didn't really know what to expect the first time I rode this. It turned out to be quite fun! 2.)Cyclops @Mt. Olympus: After riding the other three "coasters" at the park I was dreading my ride on Cyclops. I picked my spot in the farthest back seat I could go (back seat is 21+ I think), and that final drop was probably some of the craziest air time I had ever felt. Unpleasant Surprise 1.) Hades: I thought this ride was going to be great because I had heard a bunch of good things about it from when it opened. The ride literally put me in a bad mood for the rest of the day. 2.) My 2nd Ride on Outlaw Run: Both of my rides were great, but my pubes were pulled out of my crotch the second time. I think I sat too far up.
  10. Hey Guys, I know you're all discussing Goliath, so I'm sorry in advance for derailing the discussion. My orchestra will be heading up to the park May 4th to play in a music festival that weekend. 1) Is this the park's opening weekend? I've heard a lot of negative things about the park's operation during it's opening. 2.) Will Goliath be open? Sorry if these are weird questions! I'm from St. Louis, so I don't know a whole lot about the park's operations from my two visits there.
  11. Cedar Fair: Millennium Force Six Flags: X-Flight SeaWorld Entertainment: Escape to Atlantis (San Diego) because it's the only one I've been on in the chain. Merlin: N/A Herschend: Outlaw Run Universal: The Incredible Hulk from 2010 Disney Parks: Rock N' Roll Roller Coaster Parques Reunidos: N/A Compagnie des Alpes: N/A OCT Parks China: N/A
  12. They are being paid to do the work of gods. Excellent. I could seriously see The Boss taking up all of RMC's resources during the construction. The ride's huge and is built on steep terrain, so the length+nature of the ride's layout could make this quite an interesting project for SfSTL. Also, hello everybody! I'm new here at TPR, but I've been a frequent guest at the park. Looking forward to meeting you guys!
  13. Six Flags St. Louis is about 30-45 minutes from Downtownn St. Louis. There's literally dozens of things to do, but here are the things I feel like TPR would most likely end up doing in St. Louis. Sports: The St. Louis Blues, St. Louis Cardinals, and St. Louis Rams all play in stadiums no more than 10 minutes apart from each other. I'm pretty sure that you can get tickets to the games of all three teams for under $25 a head. If you have to choose between one of 2-3 games, I'd recommend seeing the Cardinals in action. They're almost always competitive in the games, Busch Stadium is really freaking cool, and the atmosphere is really fun. However, if you've never been to a hockey game before, the Blues are a blast to watch and are sure to be a great introduction to hockey for any new fan. The Rams are just okay. I think it's way more fun for the people who follow them. Although, if you're from outside the US, it would be a pretty cool cultural thing to see despite the quality of their play. The cool looking arena where the Blues play. Right around the corner on the right side of the picture is a road that takes you pretty close to Busch. Overview of the stadium where the Cardinals play. Apparently the signature shot of stadium that everyone uses. Quite sexy. Just the Edward Jones Dome (home of the Rams) looking ugly as ever. City Museum: I don't really know how to describe this place. It's a bunch of re purposed things that have been molded together to create a really awesome place to explore. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't been to St. Louis before. It is also physically demanding, so people with knee, neck, and back issues should stray away. I feel like it is also much more enjoyable to go with a group, as you'll be pushed into some pretty cool experiences that you might not have searched out otherwise. City Museum doing what it does best.
  14. For some reason I have been thinking that both NTG and iRat have been closed since the accident on NTG. When did they open up again?
  15. I wonder if it would be possible for them to do two RMC Projects in one Season. I don't really see why they couldn't.... Iron Rattler and Outlaw Run were both built by RMC in 2013, right?
  16. Option number 1 because of the Twitter feed. Adds a nice touch and makes it seem more modern. Option 2 Is getting back to the future, and option 1 is going where you don't need roads (more modern looking with Twitter incorporated.
  17. 1. Six Flags St. Louis (30 min) 2. Silver Dollar City (3-4 hrs) 3 (tie). Worlds of Fun/Schlitterbahn KC (4 hrs) Close 4th: Great America (5-6 hrs)
