I think a hyper to compliment Manta & Kraken was an excellent choice by Sea World, expect to see me in Florida again next year! -

I'm 100% sure they're not new trains, in addition to the new bodies, all the yellow parts of the lap bars have been replaced and are brand new also adding to the "new" look of the trains, but I can assure you they're the same trains we've been running for 15 years. Those trains have not been running for 15 years straight, have they? Even if they didn't buy all new trains this year, I'm willing to bet theirs not a single original piece in them. The chassis of the trains are the same, while yes, all other parts are replaced, nuts, bolts, wheels, ect. -

All rattling is all gone. For the record, these aren't new trains, they're just new bodies on the existing trains. -

There isn't a good seat. Worst coaster at the park. Better to look at than to ride. A Dive Coaster in the exact location would be bad A$$! Vortex is a great coaster. You guys are babies. I agree, Vortex is my favorite of the Arrow Loopers! -

Vortex is my FAVORITE of all the Arrow loopers I've been on.(6) Yea, it does have the usual (see: terrible) Arrow transitions but once you learn where to anticipate the ride is a blast! -

Here's some pictures I have from opening day! It was a blast, from regularly visiting the park the past 3 years I've never seen a day this crowded! Vortex, The Beast, & Diamondback had 100% full queue's. The Vortex line went out and past Shake Rattle & Roll. Also I have to give it up for The Beast's crew. They were pumping out trains like it was peak season already, I was very impressed. Also during our day ride, I saw plenty of spots of new wood throughout the course and our night ride was absolutely insane. We were lucky enough to get the last train of the night and ride ops & security offered to grab camera's and snap pictures of us before the last train dispatched. Overall a very fun & successful opening day! Arrival. Started our day off with Banshee! The line was pretty long, but moved really fast. Zero-G! Banshee from The Bat's queue. I always stop here for lunch when I visit. Racer racing! Some Firehawk. It'll always be green X-Flight for me and my friends! I've liked fun TV, and it's getting better now posting wait times & photo's people share from Instagram & Twitter My favorite part of Firehawk. Airtime! The music is now gone from the lift hill, I was one of the people that loved it but it doesn't change anything really. Diamondback late afternoon. Diamondback in the evening. And here's a picture I snapped on the way out of the new interactive park maps. I didn't use it but I hope these go chain wide because they look really nice! -

Part 2: Busch Gardens Williamsburg Also for the first time Busch Gardens was an amazing park! Absolutely beautiful landscaping and theming throughout the park. I was really surprised how much of an immersive experience this park has. It's a great mix between great theme's like Disney and big thrill's like Cedar Fair & Six Flags. For anyone that loves seeing behind the scene's the coaster tour is a must. You'll see from the pictures great stuff you wouldn't see on a normal visit. We had an awesome day at the park, and now with Tempesto I'd love to make a return trip here in the future! Scorecard: Loch Ness Monster: 2 Alpengeist: 5 Griffon: 5 Verbolten: 5 Grover's Alpine Express: 1 Apollo's Chariot: 8 Loch Ness Monster: One of the smoothest Arrow coasters I've been on, and the interlocking loops are really cool. This is my second favorite Arrow looper behind KI's Vortex. Alpengeist: This was good, but with the other coasters in the park I didn't find it to be to be anything special. The theme was pretty cool. Griffon: This was my first dive coaster. Great view in the front seat, great airtime in the back. It's a solid ride. Verbolten: The surprise of my visit. On our first ride I didn't tell my sister about the drop track inside the building, so that was great watching her reaction. I really liked this coaster, the show building was awesome, and we got to see all 3 variations of the show that play across our rides. Apollo's Chariot: My favorite ride at the park. My only B&M hyper before this was Diamondback and I think this blew Diamondback out the water. The first drop in the back seat is great because of the pre-drop. and the setting of the coaster surrounded by tree's really rounded it out for me. This was also my sisters favorite coaster of the entire KD/Busch trip. I could ride this all day long. Here we are, way before the park opens for the coaster tour. Great view of Apollo's Chariot at the entrance. With the preferred parking upgrade with the coaster tour we just had a short walk in. Entering the park you get immersed into great European theme. The color's here are great. What's England without your big clock. First stop was Loch Ness Monster And here's the maintenance bay. Some train pieces. The Far side of the bay. Inside the track This hatch took you under the track in the station. spare parts more spare parts. They told us any red parts we saw were spares from BBW. Wheels! Restraints! While we were in the bay a maintenance worker came in with a wheel that he had literally just taken off the train because it was worn out, not that arrow coasters have flat wheels (not curved in) when they're new. They opened the hatch for us. Here's what the view is under a train in the station. Making our way to the next coaster. Which was Griffon! Almost there. The lift elevator to take us to the top. A shot on our way up. Here we are at the top of Griffon's lift. Don't pass the dark blue line. Brake run & the station. Had to take a selfie, so did my sister. And empty train they parked up there for us. It's cool how BGW's coasters get close to each other through their respective layouts. We learned during the tour that it's a chain holding the train before the first drop. Under the lift hill at the bottom. Into the maintenance bay Chain dogs? Wheel assembly, which was very flexible. Wheel's! I got to hold one! Brakes! Onto Griffon's control booth. Girffon's Control Pannel Closer up view of the screen. Water pipes. Alpengeist's awesome ski lift style lift hill. and the maintenance bay! An old wheel they took off of Alpengeist Brakes! and in B&M fashion even on inverts the trains don't rest on the running wheels in the storage shed. Onto Verbolten's control room. More monitor's The view over the station is really cool. On the left you can see the camera's in the show building. The whiter the image, the hotter the object. The control panel. Close up #1 Close up #2 You can see parts of the coaster get really hot. We headed over and went inside the show building, but since daily operation had begun by now we could not take pictures inside. A view you don't normally get. Train launching out the show building. A train about to launch into the show building. The hill before the big drop. And here's the big drop. Why don't other manufactures have interlocking loops? Griffon about to dive. Skloosh! They only show we saw. I marched WGI for two years, so I LOVE watching corps style musical shows. The stage at night had some really cool lighting. Swung an evening ride on Verbolten. And here's England on our way out! -

Great TR! I can agree on Diamondback being really slow, they were stacking all 3 trains the entire time I was in line. Also, I'm the guy that met your wife in The Beast line last night! The Beast was running really well! -

Yesterday while I was there someone pointed out to me there was a snapped cable hanging from the top of the lift on Invertigo, so that's why it'll be an extended doenwtime. On another note The Beast was giving absolutely fantastic rides last night, noticed lots of new wood during my day ride. And the night ride I took last night was one of the best I've had, the train was really hauling through the course! I'll have pictures posted maybe late tonight or tomorrow. -

^Thanks! I only saw one show when I was at Busch Gardens but it was fantastic! You'll enjoy your time there a lot since you won't be rushed to get everything in. Kings Dominion is completely do-able in a partial day, now of course I was credit hunting but we rode all the coasters in the park in just under 3 hours. We just spent most of the time on I305, Volcano, & Dominator.
