I'll be going on the first day of Fright Fest, September 24th. I'll also be getting my 2017 season pass when I go. However it looks like Fright Fest is not going to be as good as last year. No new haunted houses have been announced and it looks like we lost two houses from last year. I just saw on Twitter that East River Crawler will be renamed The Lobster, it's original name.

I just read about the shooting on Screamscape. From it sounds like there must of been a conflict between the two earlier in the day. Hopefully the he will be ok. I just don't understand why anyone would shoot a 14 year old. -
One coaster at the park I know can't operate in cold weather is Whizzer. I ride towards the end Fright Fest last year and it almost valleyed several times. So if the park decides to do a HITP Whizzer wouldn't be open for during it. Speaking of HITP I'm really hoping the park decides to do it soon. It's the one thing I would totally go to even if most of the rides weren't open.

This is the reason why I always leave my park to eat, that and I don't have a dining pass. But if I did own a dining pass you can bet I would get lunch right at 11:30 and dinner as soon as its available. Now when I visited SFStL last month I googled what restaurants were near the park in advanced so we knew what places we could go to for lunch and dinner.

- Parking should be covered by simply showing your voucher for the Membership. Same as with a pass. - As far as I can see, the final weekend is going to be a crapshoot. Normally SFGAm is open till Halloween/Nov. 1 or 2. They've not done the full weekend AFTER Halloween in recent memory. I've seen people mention a "Last Blast" event from 2002 or so and comment how it was an empty park. Not much to gage on for this year however. Normally Fright Fest is VERY crowded on Halloween weekend. Thanks for the response! So, am I correct in understanding that they're not doing the Fright Fest stuff that final weekend then? Or is this simply uncharted territory that we don't know what's going to happen yet? Thanks! Correct. The final weekend the park is open is not part of Fright Fest.

I forgot to say that East River Crawler isn't permanently closed, just closed for the rest of this year. ERC will be relocating to a different spot (Orbits) in the park this off season and will be reopening next year but with a different name. -

I got some SFGAm ride updates and one SFOG map error for you Larry. East River Crawler, Jester's Wild Ride, Orbit, Splashwater Falls and Sky Trail should all be listed as closed. Goliath is still listed as closed. Also while going through the maps of SFOG I noticed the 2008 map opens to a SFOT map. -
^Spinsanity would be a great name but I think their going to save that name for a future flat ride. I hope they rename it back to its original name, The Lobster. For those who don't know Joker will be part of Yankee Harbor and will run through Crawler's, Jesters and RC'd spot. The covered bridge that connected Yankee Harbor and Mardi Gras is being removed and a new path will be built through Picnic Grove and around Joker. Also a new overflow queue line will not have to be built because the park is going to make BTR's secondary overflow Jokers main queue line.

Well that's not something you see everyday. Fantastic shot for sure.
