Hey, I was thinking about cancelling my plans to hit up the park at the end of July due to budgeting, but now I'm thinking of restructuring my plans a little bit. I'd drive down Friday from Minneapolis, which at best would put me in the park about 7pm and staying til close. I'd spend the night in town, and then spend rope-drop until about 3 or 4 in the park, and then leaving for Milwaukee for a Weird Al show. I've been to the park before, so this would likely just be a lap or two around the park riding the new stuff and some old favorites. Without Flash pass, would I likely be able to hit everything?

Anyone who says "records are made to be broken" needs to stay away from my Elvis Collection.

As a haunter, I find this amusing. There was this one night this past year where a mother was trying to push me out of the way for trying to scare her kids. So I just went off on the biggest rant about how she thinks she can come into my house and tell me what to do and that I was going to nail her to a chair and kill and eat her kids in front of her.

I work the evening/night shift and got off work 3 hours early because of how absolutely f'n cold it was going to be up here in Minneapolis (-60 with the wind). I had my car into the mechanic this morning to fix the heat. My car would not start. Tried to jump it for near 30 minutes. So, my car is going to be sitting in my workplace parking lot until Friday when it's warm enough to attempt to start it up again. Thursday will be -37F before wind. Saturday will be 37F above.

A couple Burgers from this weekend: My Double with bacon weave and Marble Jack. And my mother's with bacon weave on both sides of the patty.

Whoever said Hell was fire and brimstone obviously never lived through a Minnesota winter.

Rewatched Unbreakable last night in preparation of seeing Glass today. Unbreakable was better than I remembered it to be with some underrated cinematography. As for Glass: I thoroughly enjoyed it up to the cloverleaf twist. Highly entertaining and James McAvoy as Kevin Wendell Crumb/The Horde was just as spectacular as he was in Split. Ultimately, Glass was the equivalent of blowing up a balloon, only to have all the air escape it whilst sounding like a whoopee cushion. I would also like to take a moment to use this thread as a soapbox as to why independent theaters are awesome. Last week, I went to a Fathom Events screening at an amc. My 2D ticket, large popcorn, and large beverage cost me approximately $32. At the independent theater I go to, on Black Friday, I purchased a refillable bucket of popcorn that gets me free refills through the end of 2019. That bucket cost the same as my popcorn/drink combo at amc. So my ticket/36oz beverage at the independent cost me $9. The independent also has a full bar. Which means I could have gotten a beer with my ticket and soft drink for 1/2 what I paid at amc. My amc seat had less available legroom than when I fly coach, while I sat in a leather recliner at the independent. The closest theater to my house is an amc at a 10-minute drive. The independent is 30 minutes away. The independent has a free-to-play arcade. The independent is themed to an old French courtyard. Need I say more?

Gonna list a couple quick reviews of movies I saw in the last month Aquaman: Attended a pre-screening. Exactly what I wanted from it as a fan of the character. Mary Poppins Returns: Fun, and Emily Blunt/Lin-Manuel Miranda were probably the best candidates to replace Julie Andrews/Dick Van Dyke. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse: One of the best Spider-Man films made. Bumblebee: This is what fans wanted from the beginning, Michael Bay! Unfortunately, it seems too late to save the franchise. I also did not have my glasses on when I saw it, so thank you Travis Knight for not making my eyes bleed.

I'd just go around the park singing "What's This" from Nightmare Before Christmas.

Hey, I'm looking to visit the park the last week of daily operation (which I assume is the week before kids go back to school), and was wondering how busy the park usually is around that time. I'd be spending all Thursday, Friday, and part of Saturday at the park.
