Yeah, it wasn't that good of an opening. But hopefully when they switch to the weekend schedule, they'll have enough time to work all the kinks out. Now I gotta wait almost a month to ride Catapult! When I was sooooo close to riding it.

I got an extra one for SFNE. When I went through the parking booth, they had me move along since I had the parking pass on my car. So they didn't give me on when I parked. So I had to stop by while we were leaving and pick one up and they gave me an extra one. Anyone want it?

That sign was always there. It was the old sign for colossus that they didn't take down completely. You can see the cobwebs behind the old lettering which is a sign it's been up for a while. Yeah, I believe it was Vekoma

^ Hey, they showed the Hartford, CT wal*mart in there. Are you saying the ENTIRE city of Hartford, CT has only one Wal-Mart? If you are, you should feel quite lucky, and enjoy it while it lasts. Actually, I'm probably one of the luckiest. There are no Wal-Marts within 30 minutes of me. Of course, My radius is less than half of a circle because the ocean is about 100 yards to the east. It only ran TWICE for media day on thur... I asked Mr. Yankee if it was open today.. he said no.. Canobie "Maybe in 8 hours ill be in line for it...." Fan Yeah, Catapult is all up and running and such. What they were doing last night was testing it to fix the programming of it. Also, the reason why I don't have any photos of it, was Alex and I were requested not to take photos of it testing when we got our exclusive tour of the new north end area. Since technically the park hasn't opened yet. But tomorrow I can take pictures of it.

Alright, tonight I had the privilage of being invited by Alex to go to to training night from 6 - 8pm tonight at SFNE. A night where the employees can strut their stuff and such. Alex got the invite from one of his friends who works there so big kudos to whoever he was. Anyway! Let me just start off by saying that SFNE has made a drastic 180 in customer service and atmosphere. When pulling into the parking lot, there were a lot of parking lot attendents directing the cars and when you passed by, they all smiled and waved. That brought a chill down my spine because I never experienced anything like that before at this park so it was really odd. Btw, side note, here's what you'll be subjected to when you visit SFNE. - Random High-fives from cheerfull employee's - Random moments of dancing infront of the Looney Toons Emporium - Cheers - A lot of talent (funny ones at that too, I couldn't stop laughing over the movie star lady) She was a riot! - Random Employee's wishing you a "Happy 45th Anniverary!" Back onto topic, So Alex and I were allowed checked out the Catapult, Cyclones' new queue, Skycoaster, and then we went over to Splash Water Falls area to check that out, and I gotta admit they did a nice job. The SWF station is a nice change from PSP's station. Also during our time in the park, we noticed that Superman, Mind Eraser, and batman, were all running two trains. you heard me right. Two trains. When we rode Superman, their was only four of us in the front car and that was it. On Batman, three riders. And they still had two trains. I really think that SFNE is going all out and maximizing capacity for all the coasters. Now we gotta see how everything plays out for the remainder of the season. Btw, Skycoaster is now called Taz Dare Devil Dive....and Batman: The Dark Knight is signed as...Batman: The Ride.....Only on the directional posts, not on the ride itself. New Park Map that's more accurate The new expanded midway area next to SWF New area for Skycoaster. This is where you'll purchase the ticket to ride and suit up. Better view of the area. Skycoaster now boasts a Scissor lift instead of the moveable stairs. Nice new signage for Cyclone! now it's an American Classic. This is the new Entrance and Exit of Cyclone. Inside the new queue. The new queue will have historic signs on wooden coasters. Hmmm, where is the queue going...... The Regular Queue and Flash Pass Queue. Cyclone station got some paint. The old Exit tunnel was completely taken out. The new load side of Cyclone, looks like this setup will better control the traffic jams compared to the original side. You can really see the before and after of the painting process for cyclone Former Joker's Wild building OMG, nightwing is running!!!! SWF's very nice station Better change than PSP SWF Queue Entrance and sign I think that's where the stage is going. Looks so empty without colossus Inside SWF station Colossus sign is still there! Then maybe they didn't take it out! Nevermind... and finally, random acts of dancing.

I have very few Cyclone pictures. But when I go to the Employee Night at SFNE tomorrow (got invited) I'll make sure to take a lot of photos, since they moved the queue inside the turn around area, that will be a prime place to get some great photos.

I think you guys will enjoy this TR, so let me first start off by giving the backstory of this whole thing. At the beginning of last semester I had to get a job since I got a new car and I needed to pay my monthly car loan payments. So I got a job at Dunkin Donuts which was ok. But towards the end of the semester I was looking for a higher paying job. This semester I looked for a new job the first month and applied at the Brewer Wal*Mart Supercenter. You heard me right, I worked for the devil himself (and I do regret it btw). But since day one, the s**t started to hit the fan one by one. First off, they couldn't get their s**t together when fixing my schedule so that I wouldn't work 9hr shifts on the days I requested to only work. So I had to keep on fixing my schedule until someone asked me if I filled out this special form (which no one told me about prior). So the schedule got fixed until a few weeks ago from today. Second, they post three weeks of scheduling, and it's very hard to get days off. And Wal*Mart wants you to schedule your life around theirs. So all in all, I couldn't take it anymore, I was literally going depressed about this because I couldn't find a new job. Until I talked to my friend Shaun and she said, "why don't you go back to Dunkin Donuts?" And I've thought about it since they treated me a whole lot better over there. So I went over there, talked to the managers, and today I talked to the manager and he said it was alright that I come back. So what I did to celebrating my leaving of wal*mart and returning to Dunkin Donuts was by personally destroying my wal*mart smock. btw: the pictures pretty much describe my furry over the smock, so no picture descriptions will be needed. So yeah, I haven't decided on if I should call them and tell them I quit, or just not call. I might call and just say my name, that I quit, and hang up the phone because I don't need to hear any shit from them since I don't take c**p from no one who doesn't give me respect.

I will admit the garden show wasn't a bad place to do some filming. The atmosphere was very calm because they had someone playing pan pipes to soundtrack songs.

Interesting, we had the same thing happen here in Bangor, Maine just recently. Someone set a homeless guy on fire along the Kenduskeag Stream that goes right through downtown Bangor. The killer hasn't been found yet, but when he is found, I wonder if he'll get a similar sentence.

I'd get the dodge. We've had good luck with dodge cars. My mom has a 2001 Jeep which she loves and I got my 2001 Dodge Stratus and it hasn't given me any problems whats so ever. mmmm

Wow, great Trip Report Patrick. Reminds of a time a few years back when I was driving down this side road in Windsor Locks, CT. And I passed police cars and the bomb truck (the truck used to put bombs into). Then they closed off the road when I passed by. Did the stand off make it into the news or anything? Curious as to what was the purpose for the stand off
