  2. If you're referring to the chain for the holding brake, that was installed before the track piece was lifted into place. As can be seen in this photo:

  5. Maverick is my second favorite coaster at Cedar Point. The nice mixture of positive G's, and negative G's is amazing. The second launch is fast, and forceful, and the fast transitions are amazing! I can't wait for 20+ new rides on it this coming visit!
  6. Maybe some people forgot about the fact they installed two, because you know... One of them was kind of installed without the park even acknowledging that they were building it. Sadly, I had forgot about both Verbolten, and Tempesto.

  8. The only ones that I can think of that have had problems are SkyChicken at Cedar Point and the one at Thorpe Park. The rest of them seem to run great. Also, aside from the issues with SkyHawk when it first opened and the cable snap issue, it seems to run fine.

I really need to make a trip back out to SDC this coming season. I have yet to experience Fireman's Landing, and I want to try out the shot tower. (Even though I've been on it when it was at CC.)
  10. I highly doubt that it's going to be a Mack Spinner. (But that's just my opinion.) I personally think, maybe an Intamin multi-launch like Chettah Hunt at BGT.

  13. I just wish the final brake run wasn't followed by a station like on every other B&M coaster. I'd much rather they have a launch or an inversion with a slow heartline roll and a bunch of inversions and airtime hills. I seriously laughed out loud at this. (God I need a life.)

  15. I think the point of Dive Machines coming to an almost complete stop on the MCBR is to add to the anticipation of the second drop. Kind of like the slow turn, and holding brake at the top of the main drop add to the anticipation of the first drop. Also, has anyone else on here actually been on a B&M Dive Machine like SheiKra or Griffon?? You still get some decent air/floater time on the second drop. Especially in the back row. ------------------------------------------------ Agreed!! I am super excited that Cedar Point is building a Dive Machine! Just means our visit this summer is going to be that much more awesome!

  17. I agree. I know it's not going to impact the ride experience but I really don't get the point of the jump at the end of the brake run either. It's like they started to design a brake run like Top Thrill Dragster's, and then decided they wanted Kingda Ka's (airtimeless) airtime hill but instead of re-designing the entire brake run they just threw a random speed bump in half way through the brake run. I really... REALLY don't get the point of the design on this brake run.
  18. EXACTLY! There are other rides in the park that are good lengthy multi-loopers. IE: Raptor, Gatekeeper, and Rougarou. I can't believe that someone is really complaining about a vertical drop on a Dive Machine. SMH.
  19. Ummmmm... So instead of a second vertical dive, you'd rather have a steep drop?? Yep, that makes perfect sense. ---------------------------------------------------- Perfectly said. Sure some of the suggestions were okay... for a different type of coaster. Not for a Dive Machine. I feel like the original poster is still missing the point of a Dive Machine. The point of a Dive Machine is vertical (or near vertical drops.) Which is why a Dive Machine has a vertical(ish) drop after the MCBR.
