  1. Awww the old Inverter ride. . . RIP! Nice report, and thanks for the photos! Glad to see that this park is getting some much needed TLC, and attention! I might just need to make a trip back out there, last time I was there Eruption was still operating. . .
  2. This. . . This is when an element becomes an inversion. That's all.
  3. It's got a tunnel. . . Already better than Valravn.
  4. Maybe it's just me, but I don't see a reason this thread should be brought back to life. It's very similar to this thread: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=60058&hilit=Coaster+bucket+list&start=300 And that (^) thread has much more recent post in it, and it's actually talked in a lot compared to this thread.
  5. My thing with the outside of the station is... I just don't "get" it. How does it tie in with the castle theme they are supposedly going with on everything else for this coaster. . . ?
  6. The "artsy siding" on Valravn's station. (Photo from Tony's Twitter) Also, looks like they are starting to test with the holding brake turned on!! Edit: Sorry for the double post.
  7. I'll add Banshee to my list (if I haven't already) of "Most Overrated Coasters." I had heard so many people say that Banshee was by far the best inverted coaster they had ever been on... Yet after riding Banshee I got off of the ride and found myself wondering "What's so great about this coaster?" Don't get me wrong, Banshee is by no means a "bad" coaster, it's just very overrated. I think the Batman clones pack more of a punch than Banshee does.
  8. Then I guess I can say... I don't think B&M's new vest restraints are very tall person friendly. Also, I'm starting to dread my rides on Valravn. . . Mainly because of collarbone pain.
  9. Maybe because up to this point (that we know of) all testing has taken place AFTER normal operating hours. ...what? Yeah, I get now after re-reading it that my response really didn't make as much sense as I thought it did as I was writing it. I originally thought that the OP was asking "what makes us think that DW would only test at night?" Ignore me! It's been a long 60 hour work week!! As to the actual question, I think "Passwords" response: Basically sums up the most logical reason as to why they are only testing after normal operating hours.
  10. Maybe because up to this point (that we know of) all testing has taken place AFTER normal operating hours.
  11. While you are sitting on the brake run waiting to get to the station so the harnesses can release and you feel like your collarbone is being compressed in a clamp. . . you might be thinking about something as nitpicky as a harness. . .
  12. This is seriously all I kept saying through out the entire video. This is an amazing project, and I can't wait to see it progress!!
  13. I will admit that the harness on Valravn are the ONLY thing that I am dreading about this coaster. Both Banshee, and Gatekeeper's harnesses killed my collarbone. They made the both of the rides much less enjoyable than what I was expecting. To the point that I only rode both of them twice because I couldn't stand the harnesses. I am hoping that this will not be the case with Valravn.
  14. Agreed. They should obviously just tear the coaster down.
  15. Well, that's it... It's all gone... (Photo Source) It's like Hypersonic XLC all over again. . . Anywho, Moving along...
  16. I'm with you on this one. I think you are 100% correct!!! #ByeByeLightningRod
  17. Some fun new stuffs... [vine]https://vine.co/v/iT0aPxxZ6PI[/vine] (Video From Tony's Vine Account.) The trains look so good!! From Cedar Point's Twitter. Some off ride shots from Jason's Twitter. And there is this video:
  18. Such. A. Beautiful. Photo. I just love the location of Cedar Point. Can't wait for the park to be back open! From the webcams.
