Agreed. I can't see SDC building a coaster over another coaster. They work so hard to keep everything separate. . . I really can't seem them building another coaster over Thunderation. . . It just isn't SDC's style.

^ Maybe they are there for a little of both. Mainly to slow and smoothly lower the carriage down, but maybe to prevent the car from slamming into the ground in a worst case scenario.

^ They are trolling us. They aren't even building a new coaster. It's going to be a second cinnamon bread place. The arrows are for the direction people will travel to get to and from the cinnamon bread.

^ Yes, SDC offers "After 3pm the next day is free." And you should be fine going on a Thrusday. Most of the crowds at SDC are on the weekends.

Top Thrill Dragster is just moody. They are not doing anything with the launch system.

Oh. Wait. . . Were you being serious?? Themeing??? This is Six Flags we are talking about, cheap is how they do things.

No, the 2 drop towers have brakes at the top to hold the car, while the launch towers don't. I'm sure if Cedar Point really wanted to, they could have S&S install brakes at the top of the tower, as well as brake fins on top of the carriages, and have all of the towers run combo mode. When you guys are saying combo you mean on one tower? How's that work? I thought they were set up for one or the other. Combo mode is where the tower first shoots you to the top of the tower, you "bounce" a little at the top of the tower, you are slowly pulled up to the top of the tower where you are held for a short period of time, then "shot" back down to the ground, where you bounce at the bottom of the tower till the ride comes to a stop. As can be seen in this video: It basically takes a shot tower, and combines it with a drop tower for one awesome ride!!

Superman Tower of Power at SFOT when running combo mode is by far the best S&S tower I've ever been on. Honorable mentions: Power Tower drop side at CP Big Shot on the Stratosphere. With all of that being said, I typically prefer combo mode, or drop mode.

^ Iron Shark at Galveston's Pleasure Pier. I got the same feeling from this coaster. I liked the idea of the coaster diving through the pier. . . Just means the coaster couldnt run in high tide!! Good job with the coaster.

From what I've noticed on Outlaw Run is that it depends on how busy they are. Also, you can always request to sit where you want and they usually let you.

^ It seems more like an early season thing. When we visit later in the season Dragster seems to never have down time.

This is one of the reasons I have come to love Magnum. . . It's such a weird, painful, funny ride!
