  1. That and I like the fact that I dont ever have to bother with renewing my pass. I don't like seeing the Psyclone trains sitting out there uncovered. They always kept them covered when they were sitting in transfer..make it look like they're going to be scrapped. I hope someone steps in and preserves those in some way. Maybe B&M will take 'em...I could see them wanting to hang onto them. not lately they hadn't been covered on the transfer track...and they looked completely trashed. well, the seating did. i'm not surprised they are just sitting out like that.
  2. i don't really see the benefit of the membership. well, that's coming from someone who buys their pass during the sales, which happen every year. last few years it's been, buy 4 and get parking and upgrade to gold. they even sent me the opportunity to buy more a few months ago as singles for the same price of $72. so there is a little discount. lol but i do know they've done the gold upgrade thing with parking for a number of years. the membership requires a $20 deposit to get the $5.85 a month price. the deposit being kept until you stop the membership. i'd rather them keep you in a contract for 2 years like cell service and it be a little cheaper than their sales on gold passes. either way, i'll get it this weekend. it's sometimes a pain to find at least 2 other people to buy 4 when they do those sales.
  3. i'm guessing this will go pretty smooth as far as construction. it's not like RMC just gives someone the plans and says, have at it. their crew is the ones who head the construction with a little help, correct? weather, not really a problem. terrain, not issue like with Tatsu. after the bad winter in Chicago last year, the RMC crew will feel like they are on vacation in LA. LOL
  4. where did this come from? subscriber? i'm cheap like that and wouldn't mind saving a little more.
  5. I bet RMC and Magic Mountain are saying, dang, we couldn't make the video any clearer showing how the ride uses the two lift hills, maybe we should send out another press release. LOL
  6. i almost want to say that those bunny hills are just a joke to see who's paying attention. kinda like the rider with the Lakers jersey on. here to me it just looks like elevated track doing a circle back to the lift hill. no?
  7. i don't really see any station, just track that loops around to those little bunny hills. would be nice to see renderings of that whole area.
  8. they have a clock in Goliath's station, or at least did. get's to 60 and flashes for 2 minutes or more. LOL I loved Kings Island with Banshee and Diamondback, they give themselves 40 seconds, and countdown, 30-20-10. so fast, then you come home to Magic Mountain.
  9. when it happens it will be cool. but, i don't care much at all. green side looks pretty sick after the high 5. that small drop then the drop out after, followed by the Top Gun!?! yes, please!
  10. sorry if i'm late about the iron horse track, but doesn't anyone know how long Six Flags has this exclusive? "The advanced technology, available exclusively at Six Flags, provides ride experiences never before possible on wooden coasters, such as over-banked turns and inversions."
  11. "The original Colossus wooden coaster opened on June 29, 1978 and offered its farewell run on August 17, 2014." but but but, i have a button that says the 16th. LOL
  12. That's what I mean. The vid shows two trains at least near each other when on the lift hills, and the likelihood we'll see that occurring ever again is once in a blue moon (if the things I've heard about operations is true). Granted, I'm still excited to see the West Coast finally getting an RMC! that's why i'm hoping there is some sensor that at least if they get close on the lift, they can speed one up or slow one down so they get close. seems kind of silly to advertise the high 5 without something in place. but who knows. i'm just ecstatic about this new ride!
  13. looks like at least 3 train operation. in the video, one is finishing, one starting on lift 1, and other on lift 2.
  14. it's not a racer...it's one track with 2 lift hills. so, i hope there is something that can sync the trains on the lift.
  15. Longer and Taller Medusa Steel Coaster type...maybe? i'm hoping for 200+ feet tho. the Colossus lift hill is really long. adjust that angle and they can easily get there.
  16. if i lived closer i'd go over and take pics. traffic and 50 miles keeps me away. really wanted to go this week, but not happening. seems every now and then i hear/read nothing much has changed tho. maybe the tower is down cause they are hiding the track in the trees and don't want anyone to see it.
  17. although i do enjoy some of the coasters, i would welcome SFMM to use a previous coasters space for something newer and better. i'd only be upset if they got rid of drop of doom, which isn't even a coaster.
  18. I feel this is true. or, different feeling at least. i like being flung over the lift. something that's missing at SFMM. after taking my trip to chicago and ohio last month, and being able to ride SFGA Goliath, Raging Bull, MF, Banshee, Diamondback, etc. I still long for an awesome straight drop at SFMM. whatever RMC does, i'm sure it will be awesome no matter what, but i do prefer straight first drops.
