  1. So has it ran three trains or consistently dueled since media day??? I saw it duel a lot while waiting forever to park. not every time but most. I had to park on the other side of freeman. I've never been here when it's this crowded. the lot by employee and scream was full. and yet, I'm in line forTC. lol
  2. All the other SR lines at the park are well hidden and people dont find them unless they're seeking them out, so such an obvious SR line is something that MM doesn't deal with. DLR/Magic Kingdom veterans, is this ever a problem at the Disney Parks? I know they have much more conspicuous SR lines at their parks, but I havent really been since they've been utilized there. Do you ever see large groups of people flooding the SR lines? Use the flash pass and then use the SR line when you're waiting for your next flash pass reservation, you can marathon it pretty well that way. that's just a dumb explanation imo for not using the single rider line. that's what it's for, to fill empty seats and get more people through the line. at californiia adventure the single rider line is always full for radiator springs racers. i've only once gone through the regular line of transformers. but both of those parks are excellent at organizing riders. also, i believe the line on drop of doom stays relatively short because of the height. it's one of those rides where you always have some just freaking out on it.
  3. 5 times in a row with 15-25 minute break you mean? there were some that tapped out during filming after 4-5 in a row. 4-5 without getting off ever. that's in a row to me. also, as far as dueling, some of the videos i've watched show the blue side seemingly just hauling ass up the lift hill to meet the green side. it never was that fast during filming. usually we just about met the back of the green side when getting on the lift. in the videos, i see the green side halfway up the lift already. at least an entire train length. i assume that's why it's able to duel so often. i'm hoping for my first dual, duel.
  4. yeah, on the facebook RMC Q&A, that question was asked multiple times, I think myself included, and they kept saying no exclusive. in bonnie's speech didn't she say something like, "right now"? so yeah, i just think they have RMC locked up and while it's not any contract, they just know no one else is getting a ride other than six flags with the iron horse track for another year or so. so, they call it exclusive.
  5. yeah, i was there both days, wearing the same thing. rushed home washed my clothes and wore them again. lol when you watch stuff, just remember blue train monday, purple tuesday. John, I think I sat by you for a few rides on Tuesday. I remember you posting about the shirt and having to wash it to wear again the next day. I was in the red polo shirt passing out the sunscreen. It looks the POV video mixes the shots from a bunch of different runs on Mon-Wed. I was able to spot myself a few times but I was sitting next to different people (I was almost always in the orange train). Most of the shots I'm in are in the first 30 seconds and then from the 4:10 mark to the end. It was so fun to be able to ride over and over, it's too bad they almost ruined the shoot by using the models who clearly didn't want to be there. I wonder if any of our footage will make it into the official TC commercial? yeah, that's me. i saw you on some media day videos, and some others from mon/tue. i was getting jealous. some i knew where there all three days. LOL
  6. the first ride was great. a train full of enthusiasts all riding TC for the first time.
  7. it was weird because they had twice as many actors on tuesday. one chick even seemed to have her own makeup artist. lol the film crews were different. the monday crew is who looked like did media day, and the horrible sound on the riders pov and official pov. tuesday also had the drone. as far as rides, i thought we were going to get more rides on tuesday, but i got 14 monday, 16 on tuesday. it looked like we would have gotten a lot more on tuesday because they weren't doing the front camera, then they added it, and a rear. all that took soooo much time. i want to say we were down for like 4 hours?
  8. in case you thought that was a stupid statement about all three types of wheels on wicked cyclone, it's on video for all to see.
  9. yeah, i was there both days, wearing the same thing. rushed home washed my clothes and wore them again. lol when you watch stuff, just remember blue train monday, purple tuesday.
  10. so that's you in the pic right there? cause that was monday after they took the front camera off. lol
  11. Most of the footage is from Monday, but there a few shots from Tuesday. Monday had lots of striped shirts. Tuesday had lots of solid-colored shirts. The first clip from the following video is from Tuesday. The back of my head is visible at the top left. I am wearing a green shirt...... Someone please post a link with the TV commercial when it is available. Thank you. i like the music video the best out of all the footage. or well, i guess the edit. the video with the blue train is monday, and purple tuesday. that was an easy way for me to know. plus, the drone was only tuesday along with the rear camera. green shirt on the rear mounted camera train? i was probably a row or car in front of you, i was right in the middle. finger pointed to me. who else is in this picture??
  12. i don't know about union or non union but i asked one guy and he told me $400 and so did someone else. i know they were cast some other way. one of the guys who was there girlfriend was better looking than all the paid girls. so they asked her to be in the front.
  13. there's all kinds of cell phone videos all over, even on media day you see people on the racing trains taking video going up the lift. what was really lame though is, during filming for the commercial strict rules to leave all phones back in our room. the hired "actors" were even taking video and pics in the station and on the ride. wtf is that. but out of all the video, especially the pov of the front car, none were from the second day where all this happened. probably a big waste of $400 bucks each who killed some good shots by screwing around on the ride while being filmed.
  14. gum on the wheels caused that? i do believe it would take them 2 1/2 hours to remove it by seeing how long it took them to replace the front facia being held down with 4 bolts. ride maintenance has to be a union job there. lol
  15. i just watched him say it's running all three types right now. not sure if it's going to stay that way or not.
  16. i almost thought about going today for a couple hours, glad i didn't make the drive.
  17. that rarely happened during filming days. we just came in, they said don't touch anything, then sent us on our way. tuesday, they might have touched the handles, then ran back. so i know they definitely don't have to touch the restraints, at least every time.
  18. 90 seconds is always what i've heard that the dispatch needs to be to duel. the idea that they want to move more people through than duel doesn't make sense. if they can do it in 90, then it will most likely duel, if not then the capacity will be lower obviously. it's not like they think they are going to beat 90 seconds so more guests can enjoy the ride. i think when you think of 90 seconds, alan or the other people involved in designing that probably believed that was a reasonable amount of time. other parks do whip trains out in half that consistently all day. so, i hope magic mountain can figure out a way for it to happen some. but i'm glad i got to experience it multiple times, so much fun.
  19. i went to reply and was thinking it's less than 2 minutes, then i read 60 seconds...i see what you did there. LOL i know someone had said an onride photo was going to be somewhere on the blue track. but, there was no sign of it anywhere, along with some kind of booth near the exit. does anyone know the plans for this, if at all? just curious.
  20. Could you tell me where you found this info? And I agree, that would be a truly insane ride experience! back in January when they did their Q&A on Facebook, someone asked can their trains operate backwards and they said yes! i searched that thread and don't see that anywhere. just someone asking without a reply. i actually thought i heard/read/watched the opposite somewhere.
  21. the front POV is from monday, and the rear car camera is from tuesday's filming. the pov was some big camera, the rear, a gopro. gopro for the win. great video of everything!
  22. Even after riding the TC (which was f**king bananas) I still say Cyclone has the edge because of the unrelenting pace. TC and WC probably have the same amount of airtime "moments" but Cyclone's look just brutal. Can't wait to ride Cyclone later this summer hopefully i'll get to WC some day. i think they'll be pretty close but also hard to compare for me. the way it looks to me, WC relentless start to finish. elements, a bit shorter. i'm more a big elements guy. on TC, i love the drop going into the high five on blue, the drop after, and the hill under the top gun. all pretty large elements. WC's double down looks better, imo. the double lift will kill it for a lot of people, i think. if it duels consistently, then for sure i'm glad to have TC near me. obviously from what's being said, both world class solid rides for all to enjoy.
  23. say whut? is this a joke? i missed this one if it is.
