  1. I've had a membership as well since 2013 and was paying $6.75/month per pass for all three of my family's passes. Since the new flash deal was cheaper at $6.25/month, I went in the membership portal to cancel them. They provided one offer to lower it to $5.99/month per pass, I declined that so it came back with a 2nd offer of $3.99/month per pass which I quickly accepted. Now I'm only paying $48/year for my gold passes (including 2 parks and season parking) memberships. Woo hoo! Worth a shot for anyone who has a membership right now. You can try cancelling and if you don't receive the offers, you can cancel the process and choose to keep your current membership. how far did you have to go? maybe they aren't offering me anything cause i've had mine since 2014. it was 5 dollars something and now $6.10. seemed when i just did the process it was going to cancel it if i hit the button once more. 3.99, that's awesome.
  2. i've got a membership, but got my dining pass for 2017. now i can have two meals through the end of the year. lol
  3. for it's pretty much, Yolo, TC, Drop of Doom, Goliath. Superman on occasion along with Ninja. Tatsu if the line is short. Scream and Batman if i'm with someone who is interested. but i can just do TC and Drop of Doom all day for all i care.
  4. after what my niece went through when she was barely tall enough back in the day, that's exactly what happens. she'll get thrashed.
  5. what about buying a pass next week during the big sale?
  6. the drop is just a long ramp. with it slowing down on the top it just killed whatever whip it used to have. bummer
  7. maybe it saved by having one less employee. all about cost cutting! LOL gotta love MM.
  8. Thanks! And no, I haven't eaten at Portillo's. To be honest, I rarely eat at theme parks. It is not in Knotts. It is about a mile and a half away. Italian Beef sandwiches, great burgers and hot dogs. Check it out! You will thank me later! PS..do a search here on the forum for Portillos. Many have posted. since i live about 3-4 miles away, i eat at portillo's a decent amount. always a good go to spot in the area of mostly chain type places. portillo's while a chain is unique to so cal.
  9. Nah, it'll definitely be a Vekoma Launched Giga 4D Wing Coaster with 15 inversions that circles the entire park. i heard that rumor too!
  10. In the past, Ghostider has gotten some maintenance time in the weeks leading up to haunt, but it's hard to say how it's going to run now post-renovation. But, GhostTown Alive continues through Sept 5th, so I doubt GR would be down until after then. And not until after Sept.11 (after WCB), I'm hopin'. normally, it's been closed for WCB. but, it's also not run a whole year yet since refurbishment. i'd guess it will be open.
  11. we've changed out standards. the ride feels just about identical as it did to me when i was in my 30's. not when i was 10 years old. it's a load of fun again, just like it was in 1999.
  12. Let me help you: FOUR HOUR PARK BUYOUT. i did see on one ticket website that they changed their date from the 10th to the 23rd for their buyout. so maybe that means less people.
  13. i'm in for Knott's. debating about magic mountain still.
  14. I wish more rides could have such minimal restraints like Jack Rabbit (really all three woodies at Kennywood). I'm sure for insurance and ride manufacturer purposes it's not feasible but I'm glad Kennywood's been able to preserve what makes these rides special. I didn't think any wood coaster could rival El Toro for ejector air but Jack Rabbit's right there with it. i've only been there once, like 20 years ago. going into that double down on jack rabbit was definitely on oh crap moment. along with sitting on the left on thunderbolt and slamming into the side with my buddy slamming into me on those turns by the midway. lol i remember being impressed with the splash the Pittsburg* Plunge made.
  15. i really can't say it's more tame or not. feels pretty much what i thought it would be. for me, i just think it's the amount of crazy coasters that have come out since to compare it to. technology has come a long way in the past 15 plus years. but it's still a ton of fun, and can't wait for offseason when no one is there so i can marathon it when i'm bored.
  16. i know a couple years ago waiting for the front long enough that the sun went down, and the bugs came out. i believe we were the first train to go through the lights. i was covered. hitting all them at 120 was no fun. shirt was covered as well as my face. LOL
  17. hahaha...couple years ago on my trip to CP and KI, i'd buy the day photo pass that was available. rides where they showed more than the two of us, i'd often ask the other people if they wanted the pic and i'd send it to them through email. i actually just realized last week i had one with chuck during banshee bash. i hope they make the fun pix company wide next year. i'm a fan of on ride pics, just not paying an outrageous amount and the deals cedar fair and six flags are doing now are great.
  18. it was pretty packed last year. we basically rode nothing during the day and just waited for ERT.
  19. Any idea what the "other company" is that we're sharing the park with on Saturday night, or what kind of attendance numbers they'll be contributing? I wouldnt worry about lines during the evening ERT due to the other company. It's the entire park, so I'm sure it will be more than enough room for everyone. I'm grateful, cause we wouldn't have the whole park otherwise! i don't think there is evening ERT. seems like the extended 4 hour night is the replacement with the buyout. i haven't been to one of those since green lantern was new. so no idea what crowds will be like at night. only thing i remember was riding apocalypse or might have been terminator still while my friends waited for deja vu. I think he was talking about the buy out when he was saying evening ERT. And really, it is ERT, it's just ERT on every single ride in the park! i get what you're saying. i just expect it to be pretty crowded with Hallelujah Jubilee, but the extra hours will be awesome. it's often a day i like to go for the extended hours. most poop out and yes, that last hour or so is pretty bare. think i need to plan where to take a nap during the day sometime.

  21. Any idea what the "other company" is that we're sharing the park with on Saturday night, or what kind of attendance numbers they'll be contributing? looks like it's the Hallelujah Jubilee. actually, while it is the same day, wasn't it last year too?, i'm not sure that has anything to do with the extended hours.
  22. i get it every time i've gone recently. takes away the stress of getting enough rides in for me. i usually go for two or three days. last trips have been around this time and almost every day had downtime due to weather. fastlane takes the stress away for me who just wants to marathon everything in site. lol
  23. those fright fest friday's are usually pretty dead during the day.
