NBC is mostly showing primetime recaps of events, but there are some things being shown on the major network. Your best bet is actually to go to www.nbcolympics.com and use that to stream live events. As Sochi is 9 hours ahead of the Eastern Time Zone, most events are going on in late evening to early morning.

Also on Elissa's note regarding the skiing and snowboarding, I watched a special on out local NBC Station last night called "How to Raise an Olympian" and it contained some interesting info. One of the hopefuls, Mikaela Shuffrin is one of the youngest skiers (only 18 I think), people are calling her the next Lindsey Vonn. I certainly will be watching! Ah I understand you now. I usually just made the time changes on a computer and I guess that had all the time options available (minus what's full up). Regardless, I think the next step is to have AP Holders receive their MagicBands, regardless if they have stayed on property or not. I've heard some AP's complain because they haven't gotten theirs yet. I just tell them to shut up and stay on property one night if their that desperate!

It's what I like to call "Norwegian Drive-By" (Well, I heard it from Robin Williams, but it's still funny) As for that, it is snowboarding, but a new sub-discipline, Snowboard Freestyle. I know that Norway's Medal Contender fell on a practice run and broke his collarbone (Torstein Horgmo). Shaun White (US Contender) backed out of that event both because of the injury risk and to focus on the Men's Snowboard Halfpipe event.

Was looking around for an Olympic thread, and only found the one regarding the coaster in Sochi, nothing about the games themselves. As we are now a couple days away from the games, what are people excited for? I for one, am excited for the Men's Hockey tournament. Will be a tough go for a US Team that has never medaled in Europe, but I think there is enough depth so that they could do something. I also love me some Curling. I think it's something about throwing stones at the house. Anyone else out there excited for the 2014 Games?

Well, the other Melbourne (Florida) was at about 80 degrees earlier this week. Now it's down to low 50's with rain.

For me, it's probably mostly Rider with a touch of Engineer. I love the technical aspects of coasters, but don't care about manufacturer, specifics of coaster type etc. I ride coasters for that rush, and love to be able to know whats going on in the ride. Don't necessarily use an accelerometer though, just like the technical aspect.

There aren't many rides that I would be hesitant to go on, but that would definitely be one of them. Would probably ride it, but after a few cycles with people on it!

I have to admit, I may be in the extreme minority, but I did enjoy this years Pro Bowl. Yes the weird rules such as the extra two-minute warnings, and the ball changing sides each quarter were just that, but the players actually played hard. Seeing Mike Tolbert lower the shoulder and run over his own teammate Kuechly was awesome! And one of my favorite moments was when Team Sanders called a timeout, and the Ref said "Timeout Primetime". I couldn't stop laughing. All in all, the new format made it a bit more enjoyable to watch, as there was some defense (Finally allowing man coverage). Hope that this continues to be the case. That being said, those uniforms were hideous. I think Stevie Wonder can design something a bit more subtle...

All you need is a maze from the fourth book (not necessariy in Diagon Alley I know, but still). I'm sure somehow the creative people have been thinking this up! It does work quite well though. Perhaps it wouldnt be as scary as some of the other gore, but it's so crazy, so crazy, it just might work!

I know EPCOT and Hollywood Studios have gone this route. The thing that is a bit annoying now, is that if you want to FP+ a show (Illuminations or Fantasmic!) you miss out on a quality attraction like Soarin', Test Track, Toy Story and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. I'm hoping that this is something that will change as the FP+ System is fully rolled out. I can see having 1 choice for a parade or show, and then 3-4 choices for rides (Maybe 1 A-Ride and 2 B-Rides). Either way, there hasn't been much backlash (Aside from horrible tanlines ), but there is some definite confusion. My only wish with all the MagicSliders and doo-hickeys they sell for the MagicBands, is that I constantly look at the Band for the time, where is my MagicWatchBand!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the wand shop that's currently in Hogsmeade called Ollivanders? I guess they are going to keep two Ollivanders Stores open, but as their in two different parks it seems fine.

I'll agree with you on that, but there is a big difference between being interviewed right after the play happens, and 10-15 minutes later in the lockerroom. In every interview that he has done since, he hasn't shown that tenacity that was on the field w/ Erin Andrews. I'm not saying he's been humble, because he hasn't, but he is a part of the new school NFL, which has a huge showmanship aspect to it. Do I think he's a jerk, no, but this whole situation has been brought to a new level by people who have no business commenting on it. /End Rant... I'm all for the emotion, but this is the exact reason why there is a "cooling off period" before media is allowed into lockerrooms. In that moment, he wasn't thinking, that was pure adrenaline. Unfortunately, the people who decide that these on-field interviews have usually never played the game, and therefore don't understand the rush you get after making such a play. And Jew is right, times have changed, for better and for worse. While players such as Barry Sanders and Jerry Rice were the classiest of their generation, there were also players that acted just the way Crabtree and Sherman did, ala Deion Sanders. Thing is that now, they are the center of attention and relish it. Times have just changed. On a new topic, what does everyone think regarding the news that King Goodell is looking to change up (and even get rid of) Extra Points?

I love how they are working through the elements to get this thing done. One day I'll have to make my way up there for the ride. With the crazy weather that they have been having, I wonder if the temperature varience is causing pieces of track to shrink or expand (albeit slightly) enough to cause tolerance issues?
