  1. Definitely worth visiting Beethoven's birthplace (a museum now), the Haribo store and taking the rack railway up to Drachenfels for a spectacular view. Public tansportation is an ease over here, but it would obviously take a bit longer. You could take a train from the airport to Brühl (change trains at Cologne central station) and take Phantasialand's shuttle bus to the park. Another option would be taking a bus from the airport to Bonn central station, then taking the train to Brühl.
  2. Just a thought. Some of the Star Trek actors (LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn etc) will be at FedCon in Bonn on the first weekend of June. Could Movie Park be waiting for them to open the ride? Would make sense in terms of PR.
  3. Nice TR! Finally someone praising their ice cream. It's the best ice cream I've ever had and I'm an ice cream junkie!
  4. I'd head to either Chiapas (if the weather is good) or the Winja's first, as the queues really fill up fast when the park gets crowded. Advantage of doing both Winja's first is that you'll be pretty much done with that area of the park for quite a while....Temple of the Night Hawk and (especially) Hollywood Tour are often walk-ons. Personally my first rides would be Winja's Fear & Force, Chiapas and Black Mamba, in that order.
  5. That's insane! In the most positive way...
  6. Excellent! Had no idea that many rides have been redone....makes it even more exciting! Appreciate your help
  7. Thanks for the help We're both huge fans of dark rides, so if one of those places would have a couple of great dark rides and not a single coaster worth mentioning, we 'd be in heaven nonetheless. Quality on-site food options (table-service) would also be great. Other than that, we'd be happy to follow any 3-day plan you suggest.
  8. Good evening my fiance and I booked a short trip to Florida in April that includes 3 days in both Miami and Orlando. It's been a very long time (15+ years) since I've been to any Orlando theme park, so I'm not really familiar anymore other than from reading trip reports etc. (certainly helps) So my question is, what is possible on a short trip like that? I certainly don't want to rush through any park obviously, but is a day enough to see most of Universal, for example? What parks would you see if you only had 3 days? Any help would be appreciate! Cheers
  9. The High Fall @ Movie Park Germany. Try to avoid riding it every single time....not always successful, but DAMN, what a messed up drop tower.
  10. Lethal Weapon Pursuit (was then renamed to Cop Car Chase). Was a pretty unique ride experience IMHO.
  11. Phantasialand: 20 minutes Movie Park Germany: 100 minutes Holiday Park: 140 minutes
  12. Wintertraum will have it's first day tomorrow and Phantasialand posted photos of what Klugheim will look like:
  13. Taron. About 30 minutes ago. Oh boy what a coaster!
  14. Can't go wrong with a Phantasialand, Holiday Park, Walibi combo IMHO. You'll get to ride Taron, Expedition G-Force, Lost Gravity and other superb rides. Or Europa Park if you want to full theme park package, as it's one of the finest in the world.
  15. Exactly! It's a recurring theme throughout the soundtrack
  16. Couldn't spot any....but I might have been blinded by the greatness of the soundtrack.....lol! I put together a few samples of my favorite tracks, if anyone's interested: Klugheim Soundtrack Samples I REALLY hope they'll make it available for ordering/ downloading as well, so more people can enjoy it (those interested in that kind of music anyway).
  17. Just bought this beast of a soundtrack. Has to be one of the best theme park soundtrack out there, definitely IMAscore's best so far.
  18. IMAscore making of Klugheim Soundtrack:
  19. I've been following your day at Europa Park on Twitter. Completely AWESOME! Will you be staying another day?
  20. Thanks for the heads up, room booked for late July. Shame about Dragon Bar...hope you're returning soon, drinks are on me then. This is definitely one of my favorite TRs I've followed!
  21. LOVE Phantasialand! Probably my favorite theme park in Europe besides Europa Park. The level of detail they put in every corner of the park is stunning + the fact that it's a family-owned business makes it just that more likeable. How's hotel Matamba? I've only stayed at the Ling Bao so far (which I really like because of it's bars).
  22. Very nice TR on Movie Park. I've visited the park at least once a year since it's opening in '96 and while it has never been a GREAT park, it really seems like they're finally heading into the right direction with the addition of rides like Van Helsing and Lost Temple (+ the new coaster next year). Have fun at Phantasialand tomorrow!
