I'm pretty sure that is what Mitch was doing before the coaster poll, so he just used his current website for the poll. It's worked for the last 15 or so years, so why change it? That's kind of interesting. Looks like he is still updating the hockey section of his site as well. He must be a busy guy.

Holiday World (HW) Discussion Thread

I don't think so. Most of those rides take place farther into the woods, plus there would still be a layer of trees in between the coasters and the show building. The back of the show building could be painted to match the trees as well. I still don't see a dark ride going in that spot though. -
Has anybody seen the trailer for The Fault in Our Stars? I loved the book and was worried the movie wouldn't do it justice, however the trailer gives me faith in it. I have to pitch in on I, Frankenstein. It is possible for a movie to be dependent on amazing GCI even if the plot is lackluster, such as Avatar, which I like. But the GCI looks horrible for a movie dependent on GCI (the fire effects were ridiculous, for example).

Kinda funny how the overall look of EPCOT has only changed about twice (Test Track and Mission: Space) in the past 24 years Nice finds though. I'm super jealous -

I've heard mostly negative reviews over Zac Spins, but I would not be surprised to see that come to SFOT. Flashback's footprint is perfect for a Zac Spin, and its in the DC Comics area so dubbing it Green Lantern would work too. Its an easy and cheap clone. I'm thinking Six Flags has realized how low capacity the Zac Spins are (and not to mention painful). Do the GP even like Green Lantern? Or do they find it just as painful as coaster enthusiasts do?

The park has come a long way in the last 12 months. I mean, a year ago nobody believed the place was ever going to open again. Now we are seeing construction updates on the world's tallest body slide and a brand new steel coaster! I don't know if I'll get to the park next year since I already have plans to go to so many other parks. Plus, in 1 or 2 years the park will have even more credits, so I might as well just wait to visit until then. Can't wait to see trip reports!

Not to steer the topic off of Blackfish and Beers, Bands, and BBQ, but I've been thinking about the rumored 2015 coaster. Right now the park has Shamu Express for the little kids and then the next step up is Journey to Atlantis (which most people don't even think of as a coaster). But the jump from Journey to Atlantis to Kraken and Manta is pretty big. So instead of the Wing Coaster that I've seen people talking about, maybe we could see a family coaster?

I actually don't see BGT going for another wooden coaster after the disaster that was Gwazi. You could argue that RMCs and Intamins are all smooth, but most GCIs are smooth and Gwazi just didn't hold up under the harsh Florida climate. I don't think the park needs another B&M, but I could see perhaps a Chance Hyperlite or a Mack spinning coaster. And I wouldn't complain about an Intamin Megalite either

The maze in there wasn't very interesting, but I was impressed by how long it felt. It would have been cool to see what it looked like with the lights on. One memory I had of that theater was when I was younger, they had a Merlin/magic themed show and I got to go up on stage. I don't see them removing that theater soon.

The Official TPR Bag of Crap Thread!
Woodie Warrior replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
So my dad called me and told me a package had come in and I asked him if he could run to the post office to pick it up. Apparently as the lady was bringing it out to him, she said "Here's your box of crap". He thought she was just being a b**ch, but then she pointed out the box actually said "Bag of Crap" on it -

My orchestra teacher was discussing our WOF trip and she said that the new ride is Verruckt. Then she went to the website to show us and realized the "new" ride was really SteelHawk.
