  1. The Boss was absolutely horrible this year. Last year I rode it at least 10 times (including the filming of Insane Coaster Wars), this year I rode it once at the beginning of the year and didn't go near it again. Still praying for Iron Boss, but yeah, it's getting doubtful that it'l ever happen.
  2. I vote for Elsa's ice castle to replace the hat.
  3. Um...are you kidding? The Tree of Life isn't going anywhere. ^And lol Disney has enough money to do anything they want.
  4. Well it's not like its that exciting of an addition anyways, so does it really matter when it opens? (Not that it isn't ridiculous. Carnivals could set up a Ring of Fire in less than a day, I'm sure.)
  5. ^Wow. I like the look of that. The theater definitely blends in with the Hollywood theme better than the hat did, although I never really had any problem with the hat. The giant stage in front of it covered it up the past few years, anyways.
  6. Got Book of Mormon tickets for Christmas. So freaking excited! Less than two weeks away!
  7. I'm not so convinced that a new dark ride is going in the site of the theater. Why destroy a giant building just to end up putting another one on the same spot?
  8. You guys have what is often regarded as the #1 wooden coaster in the world plus the worlds tallest and 2nd fastest coaster. You already have your headliners. I swear SFGAD fanboys are some of the greediest out there.
  9. Because Darien Lake doesn't have any Looney Tunes theming, therefore Looney Tunes can't be cool. Why does winter break have to be over already?
  10. So anybody seen the new Peter Pan queue yet? It was mentioned in Attractions Magazine, I was just wondering if anybody could describe what it's like.
  11. Rumors are pointing to it being sent to either SFFT or SFGAd next. Anything's possible, though. It would be cool if they did it backwards during Fright Fest so you could ride it in the fog and in the dark.
  12. Because he contaminates every thread with his dumb posts. Why can't it be summer already?
  13. The fact that Kentucky Kingdom charges $99 for a season pass is the funniest thing I've heard in a long time
  14. Pretty sure that'd be the case for any coaster
  15. Decided to watch both The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and Jersey Boys tonight. Walter Mitty started off fairly boring. Some of the dream sequences were humorous, others were terrible (the one I'm referencing involves a parody of Benjamin Button that was extremely cringe-worthy). However, the film definitely got a lot more intriguing in its last two-thirds, when the dream sequences start to actually add to the storyline and motivate the main character. Overall, the film surpassed my expectations. Ben Stiller did a great job both directing and starring, and even if the plot got a bit predictable, the film is a visual feast (with very little CGI) and has a strong message. Definitely a "feel-good" film. B+ If you are a fan of Jersey Boys the musical, like I am, you'll most likely enjoy the film version. Because it almost seems like they copied the script word for word. This wouldn't be such a problem if the more intimate feeling of the film (due to the way the cameras seem to be inches from the actors faces most of the film) didn't make all the shouting and cursing and fighting feel annoying and unnecessary. In a theater, yes, actors need to be louder, I get that, but on film it just seems awkward. The musical numbers, for the most part, seem to lose their effect that they have when you hear it in a live theater. On the positive side, the actors are all phenomenal. And the new scenes (there are a couple) definitely add to the feel of the film, and let us get closer to characters than we could at a live show. B- ^Looking forward to seeing Into the Woods. Haven't seen the live show, but it looks awesome.
  16. The ride never had any line when I walked by on any of my multiple visits to the park. It still was a nice addition, especially since it replaced an abandoned ride that was falling apart. It brought life to that area of the park.
  17. I enjoy newer B&M's as much or more than the older ones. I could ride GateKeeper, Patriot, Manta, or Wildfire all day, while I'm not that fond of Raptor. I am a huge fan of Hulk and Raging Bull, though.
  18. We went to go see Night at the Museum 3 yesterday. There's no doubt it's the weakest in the trio, but it's not bad. The main problem is that a lot of the things that used to be funny in the past two don't feel fresh anymore, plus they try to use more slapstick than before, which backfires. The final two thirds are definitely stronger, with more genuine laughs, and the ending ties up the franchise well. Overall, the film is still better than the average family flick.
  19. Polar Expresso would be a great name for a coffee shop in the Christmas area.
  20. Got Yik Yak last night after seeing your post. Didn't see many sexual/bullying posts but the whole app is just dumb. Deleted it within 10 minutes. IMO social media apps are good ways for teens to connect with one another. Nothing bad about them, as long as you keep your privacy settings on.
  21. Snakes. They are the spawn of satan.
  22. Will it actually be "revamped" or is the roof simply being replaced?
  23. I think the main problem with Mockingjay is that you have people who have never read the books but saw the first two movies and walk into the third thinking it'll be the same thing all over again. Mockingjay is definitely more of a political film instead of an action one. Then again, I walked into it with low(ish) expectations, so that may be why I liked it so much.
  24. Went this summer and had a fun time. The only rough ride was Zeus. Hades 360 was running very well. I think it's funny that I've read lots of horrible things about Mt. Olympus and great things about Hellcat and Timber Falls, yet for me it's the opposite.
