Just left SFSTL after an enjoyable day at the park. Most rides were walk-ons or station waits, except for Mr. Freeze and Boomerang. Justice League looks freaking awesome. Got the $15 shirt that comes with a skip the line pass, which should come in handy. (Apparently I was the first to buy one, at least from the specific shop I got it from.) Sad to see Highland Fling already down again. Superman's down as well, and a few of the kiddie rides were too.

Maverick's capacity is far lower than GateKeeper, which is an absolute people-eater. While it may be possible that most people like Maverick better, there's no real evidence for that, and lines aren't a good way to measure that. I don't see the problem with a B&M. Manta is awesome and Kraken's pretty good too. At least Orlando's getting a new coaster.

As a huge fan of Racer at Kings Island, this news is sort of sad to me, and I hope it doesn't mean Racer's days are numbered. There's something charming about old-fashioned wooden coasters. Yes, rides like Outlaw Run (my #1 coaster) are incredible, but old coasters can be just as fun. It's obvious this is for a water park expansion, but I just wish they could've left Thunder Road as is. -

Wouldn't Cedar Point still be the Intamin capital of the world with 5 different rides from them? (MF, Maverick, TTD, WT, and Jr. Gemini) -

Yes, Voyage is intense, but it is also a very rough ride. It's still my #2 wooden coaster, but it has some very rough moments. -

^^Raven is very smooth, I'd rank it at least a 8/10 in smoothness, because the ending was still a bit jerky last season. Legend isn't too bad either, but has lots of laterals. Maybe a 7/10. It wasn't too bumpy. Voyage is reported to have gotten a lot of track work this season, but based on last season I'd rank it a 3/10 (Boss, last season at least, would be a 1/10). It's a rough ride, but still my favorite, and it is worth experiencing at least once. I myself rode it 26 times in a row, but I'm pretty young. -

Anybody have any reports from Coasterstock? It looked like it would be a fun event, too bad it took place right before finals week began for me. -
Anyone collect sunglasses and perscription eyeglasses?

I'm sorry, but wouldn't wearing glasses that are too strong for your eyes really take a toll on your vision? This sounds like sort of a dangerous hobby. -
JB's BBQ might not match the DC Comics theme but it is FAR better than the Villain's Cafe ever was. It would've made more sense in the abandoned Western restaurant, but I'm also sort of glad it's near Mr. Freeze and JLBFM because now I can ride those two and eat at my favorite restaurant without walking all over the park.

Since I was curious, as I was shopping at my local Dierbergs, I stopped by the ice cream aisle, and was pleasantly surprised to see Thunderbird ice cream! Can't wait to try it. -
^^ I didn't have a problem with basketballs during my visit to KK last year, but the guests were by far the most obnoxious of any park I've been to. They were having strange conversations at extremely loud volumes and smoking in queue lines (and just about everywhere else). The park really can't do anything about them, but it still really made me not want to go back this year. Which is a shame, because Lightning Run and FearFall are incredible.

I've eaten at a Quaker Steak & Lube in Springfield, IL, and the food is amazing, especially the wings. However, with Thirsty Pony, which has just as good wings, it's gonna be hard to choose for our family. The inside of the one I've been to had motorcycles hanging from the ceiling and a lot of other car-related items. Is that not what this one looks like?
