Not a full on report but I wanted to talk a little bit about my trip over the weekend. We stayed at Express Hotel mainly because it was the same price as others with run and ride discount. We liked it clean and friendly the beds were comfortable. We did 3 hours in the park on Friday when we arrived. Ended up waiting 2 hours for SV and it was worth the wait. We loved it. I was surprised my wife liked it as much as she did with how intense it is but it is both of our number 1 now. Valravn was a first time for us and our first Dive Machine we liked it especially the view. ended the night with Millie then the SkyRide. The Run and Ride was great. We only did the 5k on this trip but we both finished easily and with a time that we have not run in a 5k before. It rained at the beginning which was fine by me. We are planning to do the half marathon next year. We did Fast Lane saturday (thank you platinum discount). It mainly saved time on SV which held a 2 hour plus wait all day. the longest we waited with FLP was 15 minutes. Iron Dragon Vr was our first experience with VR on a coaster and we both enjoyed it. Thought it was worth the half hour wait. Brews and BBQ is absolutely worth it for platinum pass holders because you get a full beer on top of the 15 tickets. We ended up being stuffed and gave 3 tickets away. If you are on here and I gave you the tickets waiting for SV to open back up around 9 after weather I hope you made it in time and enjoyed your beer. highlights for me was Smoked Sausage, Carolina sliders with vinegar slaw, and nektar Zombie killer cider. We also hope to do this again next year. We did front seat of SV at night and the bugs were insane. I rope with my shirt over my face which made things exciting as I couldn't see the track coming. We did 5 hours in the park Sunday before heading home. If you want to ride SV in a timely manner go to magnum entrance and make it to SV no later than 9:15 so that you ride before FLP starts at 10. Sunday was more crowded than Saturday due to threats of weather Saturday. ride count for the weekend. 5 SV rides saturday with FLP. Steel Vengeance 7x Maverick 3x Millie 6x Rougarou 1x Iron Dragon vr 1x Magnum 1x ttd 1x Raptor 2x Wicked Twister 4x ( holy S*** weight loss paid off and I fit again) Gatekeeper 4x Valravn 4x We also did a bunch of flats but Im not counting those. -

A review of Brew and BBQ would be much appreciated! I've been trying to figure out whether or not its worth it. Short version absolutely, especially if you're a passholder or staying on property and you buy early. -

There are a ton of Cedar Point reviews being done this year with Steel Vengeance. I was wondering if any of you would be interested in my review that would include the Run and Ride series over the weekend and Brews and BBQ this year. -

I had plateaued the last several weeks and ate horribly this weekend ( by design as it was our Cedar Point trip) Came home and weighed myself this morning. Down 3 pound from the last weigh ins. The best news though is for the first time in 8+ years I fit on Wicked Twister. -

Ape Family Vacation WDW Jan 2018

So we had such a good trip the wife tells me she was to go back before our next scheduled trip in 2021. So I think we are going to aim for late fall of 2019. We have only gone in January both times. Any suggestions or tips specific weeks to go special events anything? This time we will make sure we hit Epcot and if we have to cut a park it will be Animal Kingdom -

Good. I think the forum as a collective would have an anxiety attack if a member posted "I'm going to Cedar Point on Saturday without Fast Lane. Hope I get on everything." I've done it before i am just a little excited about splurging this time. and yes people get quite defensive about FL+ -

Still at the same weight. A bit frustrating but I am cool with it considering how busy I have been. -

This is why I like to try and get to a coaster when it first opens before changes are made. It is not going to make or break the ride but I would love to experience it in its first form before changes. -

The first half of my busy stretch is done. I have stayed the same as I was 2 weeks ago at 244. I am perfectly fine with this until I Get back to a normal schedule. -

Still cruising along, Lost another pound this week. Had two concerts on back to back nights and behaved myself. The first night had a cheat meal I had planned for but I didn't over eat. this week I have Rock On The Range. We will see if I come back to a loss or not but I will not check in until Tuesday. -
Went to Parkway Drive show in Louisville Thursday it was awesome as usual. Last night was Ghost in cincy and it was absolutely amazing. 24 song set took around 2 hours and 15 minutes. Pretty much everything I wanted to see was played. The new production and songs were great. I can’t wait to see them again.

Weekly check in. Still losing. dropped another 5 pounds. I am eating plenty just being very strict on what I take in and it is paying off. I was unable to run this week because I have been sick so its been all diet still. I am down 40 pounds in 12 weeks. I am now at 245. My goal was to be at 246 by the time Cedar Point trip time was here for me and I hit that a month ahead of time. OO and for the first time in I don't know how long I fit in a size 36 pant. I was not expecting that when I went to try on cloths. -
Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread

I was watching old videos of The Beast from the early years recently thinking it absolutely hauled through the course due to comments similar to the one above and it seemed as if the train barely made it to both the second lift and the station. I think you only notice the trims more because it carries a faster pace now and hits the harder. I could be way off but it doesn't feel different to me from riding in the 90's until now and the original videos don't show crazy speed. What I do know is my ride on preview night it was probably the smoothest ride I had in a long time and it felt like we were going faster than usual. That could be due to first ride of the season though. -

I can avoid sweets no issue like watching my son and dad eat blue ice cream at kings island yesterday. My struggle comes when there are chips involved. Usually if I start craving bad enough that I have thought about it for ma week I will have one small bag. May1 - mid june will be interesting for me. I was supposed to attend a concert tomorrow but it got cancelled heres what the rest of the time looks like for me May 10th- Parkway Drive in Louisville May 11th - Ghost in Cincinnati May 18-20 - Rock on the Range May 21 - my birthday May 25-29 Charleston South Carolina to visit my brothers family June 6th - Slayer in cincinnati June-8-10 - Cedar Point This will be the real test for me. -

Good work on managing to still lose while struggling a bit. I am worried about the next month I have coming up with my eating habits. Lots of music festivals and concerts and two short vacations. Weekly weigh in. i have hit 250. Down 1 pound from last week and now at 35 total lost in 11 weeks. I took two weeks off from exercise due to a foot injury and today it starts back up. Bert I haven't seen you check in for a while, I hope everything is still on track for you same for you boldy. -
