  1. I followed along all day yesterday and I am just so happy we decided to get platinum passes this year. The only question I really have is do those bunny hops coming back to the station feel like the ones on Lightning Run? It looks like they do in the videos.
  2. Seems it was a good day to be busy. I can't wait to see what you guys show us at Media Day tomorrow.
  3. Mystic Timbers is so good though It might actually be my favorite at the park if it wasn't for Beast night rides. My one to go is Diamondback
  4. Time for the weekly check in. With the bum foot I tried to adjust my eating for no exercise it seems to have paid off. I am at the 10 week mark since I changed my habits and this week I dropped 4 pounds putting me at 34 lost total.

    Beast Bash

Banshee Bash at Kings Island was awesome especially ending with ERT on Beast. Can you use all of your powers of persuasion to convince those at Kings Island to do a Beast Bash where it stays open from like 10pm-3am for non stop rides? I have faith make dreams come true. please don't take this serious though I would legitimately be thrilled if it happened
  6. Trying to help a coworker out. they don't mind staying a little bit away from the park. I thought i remembered someone on here mentioning a nice place that was off of 2 somewhere for a real good price. I know this is a shot in the dark but any help?
  7. FYE Coasters. I am not sure why I follow them to be honest. Also they were the reason I ended up waiting the extra 40 minutes for Beast. they came up the exit to get on. I am not sure though what the deal was or if someone was Handicapped or not as I didn't pay that much attention.
  8. Small Trip report. Preview night. Perfect weather, sunny and a high of 78. Anyone that says it was crowded this year for preview night did not go last year lol. Last year took me an hour just to park and there is no one working the parking entrance. This year we drove right in and parked up front minutes before open. There was a decent line for pass processing but I feel like that only took about 10 minutes. Lines were a bit lengthy but a lot of rides were down is most likely why. It definitely filled in more towards the end of the night but I still had an awesome time. We took our time getting around the park. We rode Diamondback, Mystic Timbers, Banshee, and a Beast front seat night ride for the coaster and rode several of the flats. Okay for those who have seen the weight thread I have been working pretty hard. as of this morning i am down 30 pounds since the end of Jan. I was getting extra clicks this time where I used to be on the limit of not riding and even got to leave room for once between the restraints. I am so happy. Now for the Beast we got in line at 8:40 knowing we were going for front seat and that we may have a delay for fireworks. Thanks to people coming up the exit we were one train away from riding before the fireworks. We understood this chance happening, unfortunately despite the plethora of announcements starting at 9 people still didn't understand this. I really was hating people during all of this because of two people. The first was an overweight blonde lady with a for sure let me speak to your manager attitude. I heard her tell her son to stay and look upset then went and complained until they put her on the train before the fireworks. this wasn't enough she wanted Fast Lane passes as well, which I heard her tell her son before all of this that she was going to try to get while laughing. Why are people such shit? I couldn't help but shake my head and was glad I didn't have to deal with her for the 40 minute firework delay. The second lady threw a bitch fir not to anyone in particular just loudly because they were sending empty trains when they could have got to ride...... let that sink in for a moment, maybe use common sense and figure out why this was so dumb I have faith in all of you. I have so much faith I am not even going to say why this is dumb. She was acting like a toddler, actually scratch that my 4 year old was 100x better behaved. I must say this ride on Beast felt faster and smoother than I have ever felt. That chaotic legendary night ride is worth a two hour wait every god damn time and I will gladly do it. Robb please do another event I can attend where I can ride it 13 times in a row in the middle of the night, Thanks! Opening Day. This was the day I was taking my son and I was glad the rain was coming we were ready for it. It made for an absolutely perfect day. Everything was running and everything was walk on. My son is maybe a quarter of an inch shy of being at the 44 mark. He did grow quite a bit since last summer and we got on several new things. Last year my son had some fears of rides and didn't really venture out of many of the small kid rides. He did get on Woodstock Express a couple of times last year but he didn't enjoy it. This year he not only rode it but we rode 4 times and he was pumped to ride again each time. He also got to do Shake Rattle and Roll which is a favorite flat of mine. He loved it. Viking Fury, Scrambler, Monster everything we hit he loved. He even got mad at me when I told him he wasn't tall enough for Diamondback and Banshee. I was so happy. We dealt with the rain and had a blast staying from open until 4 pm. We don't get many Saturdays like that especially opening day. I am going to go every day it rains this summer.
  9. Send me some snaps! Sorry sir I didn't see this until now. I also didn't take my phone in either day.
  10. I am so hyped to ride this I can't stand it. Damnit June cannot get here quick enough for me.
  11. It is rough having to deal with cravings. I would also sneak extra food. Like if I was picking up Arbys I would get my normal meal to bring home plus one or two of the sliders to eat in the car and dispose the evidence before returning home. It was pretty shameful. Bert in a way you are an inspiration to me. I have for the last week been struggling with cravings and trying to justify well I have been doing so good this one meal wont hurt. That can send thing spiraling out of control though. The weight gain you mentioned is what I am afraid of so I will happily stay the course. At least you recognize what it going on and feel like you can fix it. Now for my check in. I had gained a pound last week. but this week I dropped 3! I have officially hit 30 pounds lost since Disney. I am so pumped by this. Bad news though, I have injured my foot. so for at least a week I will not be running. I will have to make sure my eating is on point. Lunch today will be awesome. Hummas Crusted chicken and zucchini.
  12. Ready to get out to the park and ride some coasters today!
  13. Thank you for the kind words. To those that feel like their struggling don't let it get you down. Just because you ate bad for a weekend or a week or two doesn't mean you can't get back to what you were doing. All it starts with is one good eating decision or exercise to start the snowball back into healthy habits.
  14. Friday can't get here soon enough. The wife and I plan on hitting the preview day without the kids and either Saturday or Sunday I will take my son up to the park.
  15. For the first time in 8 weeks I have failed. I gained 1 pound since last weigh in one week ago. I’m not going to get down on myself. This picture is 8 weeks ago vs yesterday.
  16. Nice! they extended the hours 2pm- 9:30 pm
  17. Cold Stone and UDF is usually what I hit if I want Ice Cream. Those days are few and far between now though.
  18. Yes to both. Unless they change the Haunt maze this year (which I doubt, because that's one of the better ones), you will get to go through the Tomb Raider queue. There's one down by Beast/Diamondback splash and one in the Festhaus; not sure elsewhere. What was inedible about it? You probably got a stale slice? I rarely eat out at a LaRosas when in Cincy and prefer to get a slice at KI since they're usually so fresh. The pepperoni is consistently crispy on top of the cheese and goes well with the sweet pizza sauce. Honestly I don't really remember why it was so bad. I think it wasn't cooked all the way and the crust was stale, and I didn't really care for the sauce. I think it was on International Street but I could be remembering that wrong. I'll have to try one of the other locations this year, hopefully it was just a bad day because it seems that everyone likes it. I haven't been a local for 3 years now so my details about the park are starting to show, haha. If you don't care of the sauce then I'd skip it and go for a good that you really like. I'd say Cincinnatians are 50/50 on LaRosas (love/hate). But that seems to be the case with all of the Cincy based chains (people love/hate Montgomery Inn's sauce/rib style; people pick Skyline or Gold Star or Price Hill, PRC, etc) with the exception being Graeters. Everyone loves Graeters! There is one in the main plaza. That one always has a line of people! I ate La Rosas at the park I think twice and it was just okay. Ordering La Rosas out is a lot better, obviously. It's usually my second choice for pizza these days. There's a local place I like a lot better, but I choose La Rosas over Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, Dominos, Little Ceasars, etc. Actually scratch that, third choice. I am eating Rapid Fired pizza as I type this. Not sure if there are a lot of other Rapid Fireds in other regions, but you basically can get whatever you want on a personal-sized pizza and they cook it really fast right there. I get almost every single veggie they offer plus 3 types of cheese plus several dipping sauces and it only costs a solid $7.75. Back to the topic of KI food, there is also Red's, Subway, and Starbucks. I sure do hope the grilled cheese place returns, because it's one of the few good places for vegetarian food (besides Subway). Also, if this BBQ is a restaurant, I hope there is at least one vegetarian thing on the menu so my bf and I can both eat there, but I'd settle for more beer. You should also try Pieology. There is three locations around the area I think. Florence, Anderson, and Clifton.

  20. Weekly check in. After the big drop last week of 7lbs I am happy to report I still managed to drop another 2 this week. I am at 257 and down 28 pounds since the end of January.
  21. The only coaster I felt let down by after being hyped about it was Diamondback. I am overly hyped for Steel Vengeance but I have a feeling that will live up to things like Lightning rod did for me. Still trying to figure out a way to weasel a trip in to KD
  22. give me a run down. the old tracker I use is the activity rings on my watch and my Nike run app
  23. I use my lunch break at work to get my running in then on Sundays I usually do a long distance run. 5k or more.
