  1. Great report of a great park! That ball toss photo... Looks like they still have the Cirque show that Kings Island had a couple of years ago. I agree with you, way above average for a theme park show. I wouldn't pay $80 for it or anything, but as an additional offering included with admission, it's great.
  2. Yes, that was really special. Ghostrider over and over on night ERT was awesome.
  3. I found the handles helpful on the lift, since it's so steep and there's no headrest. After that it's hands up until the brakes.
  4. The front is the only wheel seat you should ever sit in. Absolutely make Beast your last ride of the night every time you visit.
  5. Hahahaha. I approve of both of those.
  6. Awesome news! I was already excited for Star Wars Land next year, and this makes it even better! Hmm, what to get, what to get? I know, I'll take a Han shot first.
  7. Yeah, they're a contractor. They're given specs, they make track according to those specs, ship it out, cash the check.
  8. I'd be very ok with losing Xcalibur and getting a Giant Discovery in its place.
  9. Holy crap, that show is still on?
  10. Yeah, aside from that one tiny task of actually making the thing.
  11. Looks like an awesome day. That podcast was fun. "El Toro is the best coaster that's not blue and located in Sandusky." Agreed. Oh, and where is this Nobles place he's going to? Sounds like a great park. And now you only have 2 more people to get to his channel!
  12. Wouldn't RMC be doing the track for Batman at Discovery Kingdom?
  13. Why would they destroy the current queue building just to put up a bunch of tarps? That makes no sense. Likely they'll keep the current queue and just pop in the new ride in its spot. Doubt they'd pay extra for lights they'll never use, but would be nice.
  14. I'm going to go with West Coast Coaster just because that's actually worse than the real name.
  15. Very cool! Looks like a fantastic coaster, should be a hit.
  16. Oh awesome, thanks for sharing that list. Home Run Inn is awesome...haven't tried any of the others on that list, but will when I get up to the city for Maxx Force. Yuuuuup. Giordano's was the first Chicago pizza I had when I was a kid, and it's like saying you had a steak when you really ate at Applebee's.
  17. You guys have no idea how good Omaha pizza is. They're about to get a franchise of the 11th best deep dish chain.
  18. 1. Yes, that's correct. 2. Yes, must be activated at the park you buy it for, and your benefits (other than parking and admission) will be only at that park. Normally there aren't time restrictions, but there may be if you're buying at a special price. If it's not listed in the fine print, likely just activate it within 1 year of purchase (the contract duration) 3. The benefits are only at the park you buy it for, like bring a friend tickets and discount coupons and such. Also, most people only buy a pass to their local park, so they're priced to be competitive in that market. Small market parks like St. Louis and America tend to be cheaper than big market parks like Magic Mountain.
  19. After my latest trip, Steel Vengeance is definitely in the top ten. Phantom's Revenge maybe, could be just outside it. Great coaster.
  20. These rides take like 2 weeks to put up, I doubt you'll see anything until spring. Yep, and like technically spring. They'll get started around June 19th or so.
  21. It's gonna be just like Twisted Colossus. Instead of going super slowly up a lift hill, there will be a little show building a la Mystic Timbers' shed, then when the new train is ready they line it up. Should be a little easier to control the racing by just keeping the train in the pit stop until the new one's ready.
  22. Oh awesome, you'll love this. We really enjoy the one at SFStL.
