  1. The real question is why do you have a platinum flash pass at SFStL?
  2. Come on now, this is important. Maybe not "attending the family reunion or else your mother will never let you hear the end of it; after all, they're all getting on now, and she may never get a chance to see any of them again" level of importance. But definitely a "Kanye just called someone out on Twitter" level of importance.
  3. It was originally red when it moved to St. Louis. The black came later, but I don't remember what year. But yeah, the design was Arrow, the construction by Arrkoma. Hence why it rides so badly. Nothing good comes from trying to finish someone else's project. See also Duke Nukem Forever.
  4. ^ Except that Ninja isn't Arrow, it's Vekoma.
  5. Your list does not contain Sky Ride. Correct that immediately!
  6. It depends mostly on height. If you're taller than average, you'll hit your shoulders rather than head on the restraint. At least we all agree that it causes pain. That's enough reason to get something better! Let's see, what also has inversions, a 48" height requirement, and has been super popular at, say, Silver Dollar City and SF Great America?
  7. When you buy season passes online, there's a check box to opt into it.
  8. Anyway, so Valravn's almost done. Also, Skull Mountain looks cool. Wonder if Cedar Point would want to buy it. And where'd that boat go?
  9. ^ Yes! The queue is themed to a post-apocalyptic I-70. You wind around the debris, and then you behold in the unlikeliest of places...a monorail! Step inside and ride the Path of the Eagle in Blaine the Mono! New for 2017!
  10. The dive machine has been rumored since before Outlaw Run, and if RMC hadn't come along, may have been built instead. Not that I'm complaining at all. Outlaw Run is an incredible ride. But I wouldn't be surprised if they pursue it now, especially since those are getting a bit of a resurgence with Oblivion, Baron, and Valravn. Wildfire remains very popular, and a dive off the side of the mountain west of Powder Keg would be incredible. They've been keeping that spot free for an expansion point since 1999. Depending on placement, it could possibly dive into a tunnel. Theme it to an expedition trying to find the bottom of Marvel Cave's bottomless passage.
  11. That's some amazing progress. They could have the track complete by the end of this week!
  12. ^ That makes sense. Holiday World and City Museum sounds like a great trip! The aquarium in City Museum has closed, but that's not really a loss.
  13. ^ Yeah, Allegiant will straight up tell you they don't guarantee which airport you're flying into. They operate an SGF-LAX route, for example, but it could go to Bob Hope, John Wayne, or Ontario instead, and it's up to you to be flexible with how you're going to get where you need to be from there. Your fare seemed too low for Spirit even; that's why I initially thought it had to be Allegiant. You got a good deal. I've heard overall good things about Spirit, and what I've heard that's negative seems to come from improper expectations. As long as you understand that everything is piecemeal and you'll pay for everything you request from them, you'll have a good experience. I'm going to try them for myself this year, so we'll see how it goes. AirTran was the best at getting you where you're going at minimum cost and minimum hassle. Hoping Spirit can match that.
  14. ^ Southwest never really flew into BKG. AirTran did, and when Southwest bought them, they almost immediately quit selling tickets for those flights. They flew the dates that already had tickets sold, and got out as soon as possible. Shame, really--AirTran was my favourite airline, and their flights BKG-ORD and BKG-ATL were the cheapest connections from the Ozarks.
  15. ^ Seconded. City Museum is the greatest playground. Also, Navy Pier. The Ferris wheel alone is worth it, but they have restaurants, shopping, a museum, and the Crystal Gardens are pretty cool too. It's an amusement park at its heart, but it's much more than that, and a must see when you're in Chicago.
  16. I had the same experience last June. I couldn't figure it out at first but once I figured out to sit in the front rows of the cars I was a little better off. OR is a great ride but unfortunately those "potholes" I felt really kept me from riding it a ton :/ I never felt that on any other RMC (ridden all but Medusa). I agree as well, and that's why I counsel people to ride in the front seat of the back car. The back rows are fun but jolty and make for just an average ride. The front rows are what makes this the best coaster in the Midwest.
  17. It's in a Boardwalk-themed area. One of few areas where a ride that looks like a carnival ride actually fits the theme. And people are still complaining that it looks bad. Not to mention, it's a Tilt a Whirl. There really is no way to make it not look like a carnival ride. I disagree. You can make it not look like a carnival ride.
  18. Nah, it's not the Confederate States of America, it's the Old South.
  19. Actually not a donkey at all but actually Chief Ulawe of the Lime Green Penguinbearcats. The press reacted to this by DOING...
  20. Burn anyone who mentions 'Cuda Falls. "These donkeys shall stand guard 1000 years," Chief Ulawe of the Lime Green Penguinbearcats proclaimed in his press conference. "They shall ensure that no one ever reaches the waterslide parts we have buried 1000 feet underground in a concrete chamber with walls 30 feet thick." The press reacted to this statement by...
  21. Lime green penguinbearcats, which were part penguin, part bearcat. They invented the flying donkey as a part of their evil plan to...
  22. ^ Perfect! Thanks for the information. I like Alamo for being fairly cheap while still paying attention to customer service.
