  1. ^^That would have been terrible. Octopus balls are one of the few things I am not a fan of. They always look so good, so I order them thinking I must have just had a bad one before, but then I quickly am reminded that I don't like them.
  2. I miss Toshimaen! I used to visit there as a kid since my aunt lives nearby, but I haven't been for a few years. They some some good food choices, and the flats on top of the buildings are very interesting. Too bad a lot of the flats were down, but it's totally understandable. Did you guys visit the famous Toys R Us nearby?
  3. Going to California Great America's Haunt Tomorrow, and SFDK FrightFest on Saturday!
  4. ^^Wish you could have joined us this year! Hope you have a great time! ^LOL, I totally forgot about the Sleepy Hollow "Nightmare Stories with Hector!" You didn't just scar the kid, you scarred everyone! That really was a great night!
  5. This photo trip report will cover four California halloween events. TPR's Knott's Berry Farm Haunt Event Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Fright Fest Event TPR's Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights Event California Great America's Halloween Haunt Event First up is TPR's Knott's Berry Farm Haunt Event. This event included dinner, a meet and great with the Haunt creators, a daytime walkthrough of a Haunt maze, front-of-the-line passes, some goodies (t-shirts, soda bottle, etc.), early entry into the event, and a chance to win one of 4 monster makeovers! It was a great event, and we definitely got our money's worth! The food was incredible this year, and I ate way too much. The front-of-the-line passes helped out a ton on a few attractions, and it definitely was a fun event. Waiting in line to pick up our tickets, wristbands, and t-shirts. Ghostrider. Now that IS scary. The t-shirts all nice and new waiting for their new owners. Here’s your ticket and your t-shirt. Windseeker looks pretty nice in the background. Here is the infamous dirt construction lot. What could it be! Please, the fanboys have to know! Tell us!!!! It’s a 600 foot Intamin wingrider right? It’s gotta be! It’s neat to see the backstage areas of the park and how everything works behind the scenes. The façade for the new maze, Delirium. Eye see you! We are given the story behind the maze, and how it was put together. It looks really good! Bloody hole with a hidden face. I don’t even want to guess what this is! Stay clear of the teeth! Oh no, William is in the maze! Amy and Hector enjoy the sleek feel of the suffocation bags! Hector will take it any way he can get it. Watch out for all the bloody heads! I think they are telling us something. There really are monsters hiding under the beds! The bugs look really creepy! Watch where you are stepping! More nasty bug creatures. Really gruesome stuff! This is what happens to you if you miss the TPR bus. It’s alive! Like I said, anyway he can get it! Oh no Amy, what did you do?! Time for a nice TPR family dinner! Amy says hello to the patients. Pretty good monsters in this maze. Now that’s a headache! Amy enjoys all the morbid decorations. Lots of good theming and places for people to jump out. William in the chair of death. And outside they are already getting prepared for Christmas. The scareactors are preparing for their big night. We also got a tour of the costuming and makeup area. You get money for scaring the crap out of people. What a great job! They told us about how many costumes they have to put together, and how all of it is coordinated. Some costumes waiting to be used to terrify people. This is the makeup area where all the scareactors are made up for the night. Some scareactors get masks, while others have their faces painted. Putting on the finishing touches. Another scary walk next to Ghost Rider! Time for the Dinner! They had some turkey and cranberry sauce Some incredible Prime Rib! I must have had five servings. Corn and Vegetarian Lasagna. Ribs, mashed potatoes, and of course, the famous fried chicken! Some regular salad, pasta salad, and fruit salad. Everyone was enjoying their meal! Just one of my many plates! This newly engaged couple stop for a nice picture! The event is officially open and the scareactors start to do their stuff! But first, we get the crap beat/scared out of us on Ghost Rider! More creepy scareactors. Our messed up group for the evening! The Sleepy Hollow Mountain was AMAZING! By far my favorite attraction of the whole season! FYI, the amazing must see Pickle attraction closes at 1. This guy scared a crap load of people in line. Some theming in the area. Lots of Halloween and blacklight stuff to buy. Unsuspecting victims. And then they freak out and run. Now I headed back to costuming to watch the 4 winners get their scareactor makeovers. This area has a lot of masks and other random parts that would be a ton of fun to play around in. Robb is given his clothing to change into. Getting ready for they scareactor debut! They are ready to scare the crap out of everyone! Another look at their full costumes. Piers would probably approve of this cosmetic container. Robb had a really good spot in the graveyard, and scared a lot of people. They both did a very good job and I saw a lot of people getting freaked out. A nice victim for everyone to see. I really liked Terror of London. While it is getting old, it had a pretty good amount of theming, and was relatively long. Another mutilated body. Now it’s time for the hanging! Time to jump off and die! The Sheriff (?) gets the mob ready to go! Lots of fire and explosions The Donald and Obama go at it. Osama was a pretty popular target at a few events this year. Spongebob, Obama, Disney, and more! A tribute/bashing of Pirates. Ron Weasley and a Bridesmaid hit it off. Time for the hanging! Yay! "It’s" dead! Windseeker is fun, but it would be much better if it went this fast! I really like the lighting package. Watch out Amy, it's William! And that's it for Knott's Haunt! Up next if Universal Studios Hollywood HHN!
  6. So sad. The City Museum was the most incredibly wonderful and screwed up thing I have ever seen. It is by far the best museum in America. I hope cementland gets finished, I will totally visit it if it does!
  7. Wow, that really was truly amazing! Great job!
  8. Got my ticket! I lucked out and was able to get the weekend off! Can't wait for another incredible TPR event! And just as amazing, it is ended up being much cheaper and faster for me to fly out of Burbank than LAX! A TPR event, LAX free. Can't beat that!
  9. Just two more days! Looks like it will be a lot of fun!
  10. I'm a big 49ers fan, and grew up at CGA so it's too bad that it had to happen this way, but not surprising. It will be very interesting what ends up happening with the area and the rides. I would much rather have CGA than the niners stadium (too expensive to go to a game). Guess I will have to make one final trip.
  11. I would love to go, but I am in the maybe category. It would be really tough for me to get two weekends off (Knott's the weekend before) in a row this close to the event. I will try though! As for the price, it is an incredible deal for everything that is included!
  12. Amy and I are all signed up! Had an incredible time at the event last year, can't wait for this year!!!
  13. That really is a perfect comparison. With S&S towers you bounce at the bottom, but with Intamin Tower it's a pretty quick holy crap kind of stop. The good part is that it is really quick, but very smooth. I would love an Intamin Tower at SFMM
  14. Amy and I are running it. Haven't done too well on training, but we are not real 'racers'. We are running about 10 for our long run this week, but that's the longest we've ran since the Disneyland 1/2 marathon last year
  15. After riding Maverick last week, it seems so long ago....., I would love to have that type of coaster anywhere at SFMM!
  16. Just saw this in the news... Ride Partial Collapse
  17. ^ Thanks for the input. I will definitely change things in the future. More food, less fatties I've updated it so it's more professional.
  18. I didnt' realize they had free Pepsi! When I did my credit run I didn't know I could have had free soda! But it is Pepsi so I guess it's not that great of a loss. Great pictures! Wish I could have joined you all.
  19. We did a quick trip to Quassy before the Road to Cedar Point trip and Wooden Warrior definitely was a great surprise. Great report!
  20. Day Ten: All about Bryan day, and the Wisconsin Dells! The Wisconsin Dells was a tourist trap town with a few coasters, parks, and activities scattered throughout. The coasters at Mt. Olympus were extremely rough and had incredible, and downright scary, airtime. The operations could have been better, but with TPR, any park is an awesome park! The employees had very interesting attitudes , but it made for some great pictures! Enjoy! **Edited: Cleaned up the report a bit. The only time I am ever up early enough to see the sunrise is on a TPR trip. They had some very interesting buildings on the way to the Wisconsin Dells Today was spent at the Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park! The park was very interesting, and they had a nice small collection of rides. Yay! A nice and pretty sign just for us! They had white sheets to make sure we didn’t blend in with the lower-end, population, or they were just hiding us from the public. Today was “It’s all about Bryan” day!!!! But Trent is the true Power Packer! If Bryan demands it, it must be done. Alas, Bryan is finally showing his age. We all prepare ourselves for what will be an insane, and extremely painful, ERT session! Bryan is upset. We must stone the unbeliever! This kid will make a wonderful driver in just a few years. When Bryan says something, it instantly becomes a sign. The employees had wonderful, not my job, attitudes. Jake and TPDave look like animals being sent to slaughter But everyone just needs to be patient while the ride op finishes texting her plans for the evening! This group shows all of the stages of accepting death. Miles makes sure him manhood is intact after that violent ride. Since a chair isn’t provided, I’ll just sit on the floor. Yes little goat, you will do just fine for Christmas. Just fine indeed. Like the movies starring Barry M. Deeper, you must be 18 years or older to ride in the back car. They aren’t too sure about this 18 or older seat. The airtime in the backseat was so OMFG amazing! More holy crap amazing airtime! Chunk loves it, but Mike Austin still hates it. Look at how much higher James is than lauren! Kidtums and Sharktums enjoy a nice ride on the swings! Colin hits 200, or he’s trying to cover up a man-boob. Please people, can’t you practice any patience? Can’t you tell he’s just about to score some digits! Russ and Stacey are all ready for their ride! Just go over to the red button, push it, and you will be free from all of your worldly cares. Nothing says 'Greek' more than a Pizza. Whoever washed this floor did it with the wrong soap. It was literally more slippery than an ice rink. Bryan gets extra special attention from Robb! Next up was a Greek themed wild mouse! It’s good to know that they take safety so seriously. Then again, maybe they don’t. Hi Mr. Beachball! These guys were working on the Screamin’ Swing(?), but they would run some cycles and the ‘arms’ were getting so close to taking them out. Another odd thing was that they would drive all sorts of vehicle through out the park, even the main walkways. Doesn’t that kid realize he’s on a freeway? He should really look both ways. It really was incredible how they would just plow through the crowds with vehicles. Anyone order a side of cottage cheese? One of the bungee jumps in the area was operating. It’s a Coke park! That definitely earns them some bonus points. The mini-corndogs were really good! The rides did go through some really nice greenery. One of my favorite shots ever! So gross and funny at the same time. More Airtime! Poseidon’s Rage is a wave pool that only releases one wave every few minutes… …but, it’s a 10 foot wave!!!! The structures in the area are repaired and maintained with the highest of standards. Little Titans was the credit that was unattainable. This was that scad tower….that forgot to raise the safety net. :/ One of the highlights of the Wisconsin Dells is the Dam boat adventure. Get an up close and personal view of the crystal clear pristine waters in absolute safety! Next up was a quick stop to Timberfalls for a woodie credit! It actually was a fun little park with a few attractions. Jack and Jackie try out the log ride. Martin, Cheryl, and Lauren approve of the log ride. Hanging on for dear life! Scott and Jason participate in one of the extreme attractions. They finish building the ride just in time! Fatty me is ready for a quick credit! How a true professional takes a picture! Our lunch for the day was sausages and hamburgers. The hamburgers were cooked fresh on the grill for lunch! Really good stuff. Mike enjoys another incredible ride. I tried to get a taste of the essence that is Bryan. TPR members can check another credit off the list! Up and over an airtime hill! Another well dressed pissed off Wisconsian who doesn’t understand what ERT is. Bus time with Kristen is always fun! Time for a surprise credit whore credit! Yes, we are credit whores! It was a fun, yet slightly painful, credit. All of you should be ashamed! The world's toughest bar. A small snack at McDonald’s
  21. Canobie looks like a great little park! I love the RCT style food stands. I also can't remember the last time I rode a caterpillar with a canopy!
  22. Kingda Ka and El Toro thanks to the Road to Cedar Point trip!
  23. Awesome report and captions! This report has made me severely depressed now that the trip is over. Is it time for another TPR trip yet?
  24. Awesome pictures as always! I really need to go back to Tokyo DIsney Resort soon.
  25. Awesome pictures and captions as always! I really enjoyed that museum, but I haven't been there in almost ten years! Have a lot of amazing planes and stuff!
