I wouldn't mind Vortex being torn out, as long as it was replaced by something better. While I'll only give it a courtesy ride when I visit, that park is lacking too many rides to just rip it out because it's terrible. I really hope that attendance picks up with GS so they are more willing to add more coasters in the future.

I'm a 49ers fan (grew up in Central California), and I agree with this. I think Kaepernick was the missing ingredient; they were never a great "come from behind" team with Alex Smith (even though he is a good, solid quarterback). They may have had a better chance if they'd let Kaepernick run the ball in during that Ravens last goal-line stand, rather than just passing for it. But my football knowledge is not all that great (more of a casual fan). But now they have to watch out for the Seahawks. Totally agree with both of these. There have been a few games where it looked like the coach, or somebody/something, was holding Kaepernick back. I remember a few games where the commentators even said it. I don't know if it's him being new or not, or if it's the coach, but when he is 'let go' to run, he really can do some amazing things.

The job market in Reno. This is my quarterly complaint about it. Out of about 120 people, I made the top ten, but didn't get a call back for a second interview. Oh well. Got to just keep trying. Still have my part time business at least.

^ That's what I was thinking they might do. I am glad I'm getting doughnuts from them, just got another 3 yesterday, but it will be annoying if we end up way behind to bump to the next level. I don't think I got any money for the second time I maxed out my level, but at least I got three doughnuts instead of one or two. Finally got my popsicle sky scraper, but it's not nearly as cool as the escalator to nowhere!

After riding it a while back I still can't believe this is going in. At least there will be two seconds of that ride on new track that will be smooth. Maybe.

For the most terrible commercial, it was this local commercial for Reno Dodge. It is so incredibly terrible and bad. I don't understand how people can actually think this is good enough to put on TV, let alone during the Superbowl!

I did see an escalator in someones town and I really like it! Probably be a few weeks before I can get it.

I thought the Doritos Goat was the best, followed by the Montana Stain and and the M & M commercial. I also thought the GoDaddy one was terrible. I also thought the Paul Harvey Farmer add for Dodge was odd. I was thinking it was going to be for some farmers association, or food thing, not a dodge truck.

I'm just glad the Niners came back at the end. Watching the first 2.5 quarters was absolutely painful. I told Amy, now I know what the Broncos felt like in Super Bowl 24! I'm still surprised they came all the way back and only lost by 3. We definitely lost the game because of the first 2.5 quarters, but those bad calls at the end really were annoying. Oh well, not bad overall for a two year coach and a QB's 10th game!

I wouldn't be surprised if one of the Niners pulled the plug. I sell have some hope......but not much.

First half done, and the Niners seriously look worse than a college team. Hope something happens in the second half, but the Niners were absolutely embarrassing.

I was really bummed when they took that out. It really was a good and morbid dark ride.

The second one is pretty interesting. It's like a pseudo combination of Star Tours and Space Mountain. They could honestly use it with any theme. It will be interesting if these ever see the light of day.

Really? I actually think their food is very good, especially for SF parks. They have a wider variety than most parks and it's all pretty good. The crepes are some of the best anywhere, and the BBQ place is pretty good. Granted their basic items are nothing special and are overpriced, like most parks, but I thought overall they were pretty good. Guess it's just a matter of preference!

How many times would you have to eat for it to be a deal? Looking at the menu it seems like if you just had 3 dinners and 3 lunches it would be worth it, but that's just guessing that each meal averages about $7. Anyone know the prices of the meals? I was really excited for the BBQ place to be included, until I saw it was only the Chicken Sandwich.
