  1. Im still excited! Also after 10...well 11 years of dreaming about X....or X2 I hope it ends up as a good ride and not sucky
  2. Something about Six Flags trying to capitalize on a meme...reminds me of the family guy skit Disney trying to bond with their audience "you da cow!" "Wow Disney gets us!" And yes, ironically the coaster is not very full on the throttle Remember when the rumor broke? We were seduced by "longest coaster record" and "putting Maverick to shame" and "a natural terrain epic" and what not and we ended up with...YOLO
  3. technology is kicking my ass....the pic won even save to my computer! They're not that great anyway, I tell myself
  4. Crystal Beach Cyclone Airplane Coaster Cyclone Racer Switchback Railway (lol why the hell not?) Drachen Fire. Back in time. I know it may have caused brain trauma and was probably terrible but it was unqiue, and wicked. And when I went to Busch Gardens it sat there...SBNO mocking me Son of Beast, with the new wooden coaster technology so it'd be less death inducing, and hopefully quicker. (and no loop)
  5. Aw why can't I get pics to appear? Just a small white box with a red x
  6. That's why I love the net! And more I look into the coasters more excited I am, and there's always been so many I've wanted to ride for ages but thanks to TTD, Superman seems weak and IDK how brutal Riddlers is!
  7. Well played internet warrior alright, how'd it recieve its name?
  8. I can only speak for myself: I know it's a business...but Six Flags seems to come off as half assed and greedy and what not. Take Great Adventure, I remember as a kid when they had 25 new rides in a year. A third were open at any time, and for a park with so many rides it felt like a show. Look at our stats! But that was it. Opposed to CP which has a ton of rides, all always open (yes excluding breakdowns and Intamin issues lol) The park seemed to fall into disarray, like they weren't trying at all and it was dirty. The new "Golden Kingdom" at SF:GA felt like a copout after being dubbed a "new section" and they made a half assed effort to clean up the park. Like painted half of ralinings, the side you can see...and most of those rides are gone now anyway. A trip to SF:Great Adventure is 9 hours and 5 coasters. Friends in NY said Six Flags ruiend Darien Lake, including jacking the prices up for everything, and I've heard stories about SF:MM Great Adventure always seemed understaffed and reading posts, apparently it's not the only. IDK just feels like a lazy complacant chain. This is just me though, can't vouch for others. As ya see, I have little beef with the rides. There are some great coasters at Great Adventure and the other Six Flags parks. Rides will be the rides, regardless. Ultimately that's what it's about, and SF has never made me feel strong enough to not go...I'll agree some probably hate on it just for the sake of it.
  9. Of course. As it's been said, all depends on the park and people. Dorney, especially if at the right time of year, hell I felt satisfied (everything multiple times) by noon! Geauga Lake...again pretty sure we were done by noon. Lots of smaller parks I'd iamgine you could be there too long easily, butit can happen with larger parks due to fatigue. I can make it through 2 full days of Cedar Point but I found out my friends couldn't That may be my limit though. Between the walking, rides, lines, heat (though I try to hit parks early and late) it can be a lot.
  10. Nothing. So it just became dubbed that by the forces of the internet? Green Lantern looks like it's either pretty fun, pretty brutal or maybe both. Pretty excited regardless
  11. Sometimes work really is a pain, distracting me from what really counts...I remember when news for YOLO first broke, and we saw what it'd be. Now I see its been dubbed the YOLOcoaster..what the hell did I miss in the meantime!?
  12. Thanks guys. Yeah that's it, it will certainly be a while (god knows when) I'd be back so kinda pressured to do much as possible, both parks and other stuff...and get myself to San Fran as well! Guess it's an opportunity I won't get for a long ass time again, and with what you two have said about the great quality of WCB I think I'll deff hit both parks.
  13. I know probably an obvious answer since this is an enthusiast site but: this seems like a smaller park, with some cool coasters, but many smaller ones. Is it worth doing this AND Magic Mountain on WCB? Because I have limited in LA and not sure if I should spend 2 days at parks. So how's the park??
  14. hmmm Well since I kinda hate Six Flags and usually dont go till near seasons end, Hershey will probably be the first park. So my money's on Skyrush. Which would be crazy since it'd be my opening coaster 2 straight years! Though if I could find a group that won't wuss out after more than one day I'll make the trek to Cedar Point and Gatekeeper
  15. Holy sweet jesus...I need to make a ton of $$ in the very near future to get to here and Silver Dollar City
  16. I know it may have been a torture device but damn it...I always wanted to know...at least have the experience. Ah well. I believe its a very large area, perhaps the 100mph "traditional" coaster I've always wanted? The one I built in nolimits was only 335 feet and 8500 feet long
  17. Awesome. Looks sweet in itself, cool how its over the gate, and will bring a boost to that part of the park.
  18. Yeah the weather should be superb, and the crowds just as well. Since I'm making a Vaca of this and stopping to see my friend in San Fran guess I'll have too try and stick Discovery Kingdom in there! So stoked
  19. Well, I never need an excuse to got to CP but gatekeeper gives me one! Any idea of a TPR trip? My last group was....not quite the same level of intensity I was and had real patience issues (over 30 minute line they bounced and we did the f**kin mine train like 7 times)
  20. Have wanted to go to Cali for years now, and not just for parks. Well...I have a job, money, and a fresh set of vaca days.... COUNT ME IN
  21. Well, this Full Throttle looks cool, unique but not anything great. Especially with all the hype of some epic length record, terrain, Maverick shaming coaster. Still, I'm going next year and at least there's yet another cred waiting for me.
  22. Well OK but what about the park? I know it's smaller/family but is it worth going? I'd hate to trek there for Boulder Dash...I just dont know what the park is like.
  23. CP trip was awesome! Sadly I'm a little hardcore for my friends who couldn't make 2 full days...but still great. Hit every coaster multiple times, except Raptor (they were too tired) and TTD (one friend was too big). Thankfully I was content missing those. Also got in most of their rides. Never done so much at a park and finally rode Maverick after 2 misses, a definite top 10 Already excited for Gatekeeper and I assume a TPR trip where I can be with fellow enthusiasts. Edit: Mean Streak, which I really used to love, is actually my least favorite coaster there now! The revamp has made it much smoother, but too much IMO. There's just nothing to it, even the next day when it was rougher. A smooth ride is great when it's exciting but ugh it's so bland overall and those brakes on the drop really hurt. Blue Streak was tons more fun and a good bit meaner! Hope Mean Streak gets the RMC topper...it can be smooth then but have the added intensity of 90+ degree banks and a steeper drop/faster ride
