  1. Yep. Haunt events are always packed when we go on Saturdays. When we go to KI, we spring for the FL+ and the Fright Lane Card. It's priceless. There's zero planning and we are able to leisurely ride everything with multiple re-rides and hit every haunt without planning while taking plenty of time in between to relax and enjoy a beer or two. Meanwhile, everyone else is waiting in lines over an hour long.
  2. Like from a blessing and curse standpoint?
  3. Cool, man. Make sure to create it in No-Limits with KI terrain so we can all see. I'm fascinated.
  4. If you name your child after a roller coaster you're enabling bullying.
  5. Make sure to bitch about the themeing so that some people will be happy.
  6. Stop wishing. It's not going to happen. It would be a dumb investment, because The Beast is currently, and likely always will be, popular with guests. Even the Cedar Fair recognizes that it's an icon and guests love the nostalgia. It makes zero financial sense. As far as your Giga coaster goes, your guests are going to blackout with all of that speed and none of it killed off by any significant hills. Congratulations on your new job at Schlitterbahn. Here's the perfect place for your ideas: https://www.planetcoaster.com/en-gb
  7. Wow, Chris. You're the first one to talk shit on how poorly you think the ride area looks, but coincidentally you're also the first person to know when it opens. I'm certain you'll make sure not to ride it since you hate the themeing so much. I hope you have to move to Phoenix where your closest park is Coasters N' Castles. You'll get that consistent themeing experience you're chasing.
  8. There's a difference between the people who are slightly disappointed and the people who keep crying like little bitches. I was slightly disappointed when the Mystic Timbers clearing ended up being a GCI, instead of something closer to what we're looking at now. But, in no way did that stop me from realizing that Mystic Timbers was still going to be a great addition and something to appreciate, because I'm grateful. We're also seeing the reliable return of people complaining about the layout being dull before the ride even goes vertical. They're the same people who think they can tell the good rides from the bad rides just by watching youtube POV's. Regardless, you also have one constant factor. Hypothetically, this new roller coaster could put Steel Vengeance to shame and people would still discount it because it's a B&M. And when I say people, I mean spoiled little keyboard warrior super coaster nerds who are perfectly satisfied gorging on heaping handfuls of cheap 20ct Chucken McNuggets on the way to the park, but for some reason a 20+ million dollar 300 ft 90 mph coaster is less than satisfying to them. It's also not cool if mass numbers of the general public enjoy the new coaster. This culture reminds me of high school when there were groups of people that had a greater interest in music and it lead them to lesser known underground bands in order to maintain a false sense of intellectual and creative exclusivity. They would get together in their little anti-social clicks and talk shit on all of the people who were perfectly content with having a good time listening to basic bitch Pop Culture hits and not giving two ffcks about taking music more seriously. These people are a strange breed and for some reason they hold a personal grandiose image about one of the few things in life where they actually have a (useless) one up on Average Joe, who is just looking to have a fun care-free time. And I love it. Why? Because I troll the ffck out of their facebook posts while sitting on the crapper, on some of the terrible facebook coaster nerd groups.
  9. ^It's been 50 years since we've been to the Stanley Cup Finals. You have to give us this one. I had an incredible time at the game.
  10. Yep. We're starving right there with Worlds of Fun. Send it to us.
  11. That's my first time ever reading anything on KI Central, and my last. What a shit show. Long live TPR.
  12. I really hate to refer to the fan made concept. But, if it's anywhere near similar to what KI will install it will allow Diamondback to remain more relevant with its longer more drawn out floater airtime experience vs. more sustained speed, quick transitions, and a brake run full of "WTF just happened" faces. It will only make their line-up that much stronger. I love this park.
  13. Shouldn't be any busier than Chinese New Year.
  14. Might as well go this weekend, since you won't have anymore hockey to watch this season after tonight. Let's Go Blues!
  15. Look how short a launched coaster like Mr. Freeze is and how good of a ride it produces. This will be great. Clearly these aren't the days of SF building Raging Bull sized coasters.
  16. Us folks five hours south of you will gladly take it.
  17. Money doesn't always come easy. Take it for what it's worth, but these shorter length roller coasters allow for all parks to receive new additions under Six Flags' current budget.
  18. Unless you're looking to re-ride the shit out of everything, I don't think you'll want to spend your money on Flash Pass. Coaster wise, I suggest going to Mr. Freeze first. Ride it at least twice. Go to Boomerang and get that out of the way. After that, everything will be pretty easy to ride several times. If Freeze's line picks up and doesn't thin out much during the day hit it up within the last half hour and it will likely be walk-on. It's a cool park, but it's pretty small. There will be no rush if you have all day. Try my formula when you ride The Boss: Middle Car Front Seat Lean Forward Grab the bar Hold on Don't waste your time with the Moon Cars. Justice League is 1st gen run of the Mill. If you want to ride it, do it early. Get a ride on Screaming Eagle at night. Avoid the wheel seats for the best experience. American Thunder is awesome. For food, I suggest the Coney Dogs or whatever it's called, by the Palace Theater. JB's is always a decent option. Of course, avoid high volume food times.
  19. With you 100% on this statement. I also know that using the term "engineer" doesn't say much, considering his engineering knowledge may in no way coincide with the actual knowledge and experience needed to create this concept. Even with that considered, this shows that the layout really does have a lot of potential to kick ass.
  20. I vote don't worry about the timing and take advantage of one of the best bang-for-buck fast pass systems there is at this park. I can't really comment on the crowds during those times.
  21. I'm not going to be disappointed during my visit in July, because I'm not going to have unrealistic expectations and compare this ride to Universal's similar rides.
