  1. ^Yes, that's why I had already been thinking of that for a while.
  2. I think you also have to take in account the steel itself. Over time, steel can stretch, bend and deform. even a small flat spot could cause major bumps. Also, the wear on the wheels has a large impact. Yes, that's right. But those are all things that come with age and that makes it a bit weird that new rides like banshee have some rattle issues while some quite older ones (also manufactured by B&M, and, probably, with less sophisticated technology) are still running very smoothly.
  3. I find those restraints curious. On one hand, they don't look like OTSR as that part that actually holds you is the "lap part" but, on the other hand, those bars do not give quite the same freedom as normal lap bars. Hmmm.....
  4. Interesting... I thought it would make more sense to put the rest in one piece as that bit will look kind of unsupported once the crane goes away, but I'm sure they know what they're doing.
  5. I imagine what could cause rides to become rougher more easily would be the stress the trains are put through during ride cycles, which is related to intensity and we have some batman clones that are still running silky smooth after around two decades of operation. I'm not an engineer and I don't really know what can cause it as we have these strange examples like kingda ka, which, for some reason, was always rougher than TTD. Anyway, if it is possible, I really hope this goes away (or at least decreases) on banshee as it seems to be a pretty good ride.
  6. ^You're right. They'll have it during the summer.
  7. ^^Well, the good thing about lift hills that slow you down to a crawl is that, unless they add trims, there is nothing more they can do to neuter the ride unlike really fast lifts which are really cool as long as the speed is kept throughout the years.. (cough... skyrush... cough). A bit like MCBR the trains go through quite slowly (like raptor). They might interrupt that pacing a bit but you can't take away a lot of speed from the ride (cough... dragon khan......cough). Man, this cough is really nasty!
  8. Looks pretty wild (especially after seeing the rider cam). Nice!
  9. if you try to imitate the sound intamin accelerator coasters make when the launch dog is dropped into the catch car by dropping a pen (or another object) in a very specific way.
  10. Both Montu and Katun are quite long and I don't think they have a rattle, so I don't really know what it could be.
  11. I've never tried one of these, only a windseeker. These look more fun because of the freedom to swing that the chains give and, in this case, the extra height.
  12. Hope it rides as good as it looks. That could mean more of these popping up (and maybe some hypers too )
  13. Nice pictures! Love this one. Just looks... kind of wrong but awesome! Haven't been to the park yet. I'll make sure I don't miss it next time I go to Madrid.
  14. The camera mount does seem to be a little loose; we will know Saturday how LR rides though. It does seem loose as even on the lift hill it shakes a bit. The pacing looks pretty good! And so does its twistyness!!!
  15. ^On their website they say coaster express but I didn't go there recently so I'm not sure.
  16. ^Yeah they haven't really bothered with the trains on those drawings. Looks nice!
  17. Well, I see Coaster Express hasn't got any better Nice photos, I haven't been to the park for a while now. Really need to go back.
  18. Vertical Limit
  19. ^Possessed delivered me a strong blow to the head as we entered the twisty part of the front spike for the second time, but that was all. I mean, rides as simple as these don't really have an excuse to be bumpy!
