Has this ever happened to you? Eric

"If it's a dual station loading station they aren't always running?" (sharwoo) Dual station requires dual staff, so Tatsu only operates one station most of the time. Because of stacking and a relatively short ride, running three trains with both stations open causes as much stacking as one side open with two trains running. They need to: 1. Speed up load/unload. 2. Remove cubbies and NOT allow items to be stored in station. Eric

^ Same as Superman--The Escape at SFMM. That was a great ride at one time, but its time has passed. Wouldn't it be great if solar power could be collected and saved for LIM/LSM launches? Eric -

Tree Top Racers is a fun little ride. I believe there are three or four identical coasters in the U.S.---Adventure City; Lakeside in Denver, CO; and Wonderland in Amarillo, TX; and one possibly back East somewhere. I have the Adventure City and Wonderland rides to my credit. Nice report. Adventure City is a fun little park, and I'm glad it didn't close like it was going to recently (don't know if that's still pending or not). And how cool to be able to dress the part for a ride on the firetruck! Eric -
In order for Tatsu to be efficient, both stations need to be running. Two-train operation with both stations going works pretty well, but I personally don't see it running like that very often. This is a case of getting the damn cubbies out of the station and making people get lockers. From what I've seen, people storing stuff there slows things down. Eric

Car wash for the hoopty...$20.95 (includes $3 charge for oversize vehicle). Since when is a CR-V an "oversized" vehicle? Eric

^ I wondered the same thing. But then, I've seen Terminator at SFMM go out with empty seats, too---sometimes the first row. Nice report. Did you get free pie? Eric -
^ Needs to turn in all those science projects in the fridge. < Needs to get a few things taken care of. V Needs to get mental issues taken care of!

^ Personally, I like it. Eric

My favorite way to launch a train is to let it roll down a tall hill... I know what you're getting at, though. Interestingly, after using cables, then various magnetic methods (LIM, LSM), manufacturers have returned to cables (the Intamin hydraulic launched rides, and Zamperla's flywheel launched rides). And don't forget S&S and their air powered launch. I'm no engineer, but I think a flywheel does just fine. Perhaps not as much speed is attained from it, but its power usage seems to be lower than other types. Eric -

Did SFMM take the POV video off of their site? I went there to watch it again and it was gone. Eric -
^ SFMM is supposed to get a coaster next year, but I guess that can change. As for SFGAd, I remember when they got a bunch of rides in one season (1999, I think). I've never been there, but I've heard that most of those rides are now gone or closed. I've said it before: a nice mix of flat rides pulls people out of the coaster lines and spreads them out in the park. But I don't know if SFMM will go that route, even though they had some good flat rides in the past. Eric

Nice TR! And how fortunate to fly over the park on your way home! Eric

Sad to hear that Timber Wolf has gotten so bad. While I have never ridden it, back when it opened it got great reviews. Anyway, great Photo TR. Prowler looks like it has some wicked hills. One day I'll find myself in Kansas City and visit WoF. Eric

I'm really sorry and angry at the same time to see Terminator's equipment and facilities already going to crap because of people who just can't respect it. Even if they recorded it, I don't know how they'd catch and prosecute the perpetrators. I'd have liked to have slapped the crap out of the people who let their Little Gangbanger pee on the wall while in line (I mentioned that in another post). Eric -
In a rare moment of seriousness, there are a couple of things that could "plus" Goliath a bit. Enclose the station to block out surrounding distractions. Put tunnels before the station and/or between the station and lift with special effects inside---even some kind of lighting or sound. A lot of times, I think theming attractions individually would work better than trying to tie them into an entire land or area. Eric

When I was at SFMM the other day, I saw some little kid peeing on the back wall of Terminator's third set of switchbacks while the gangbangers who were apparently his parents stood and watched. What is wrong with some people? Eric

I got five rides in today, and I have to say it's kicking butt more and more as it breaks in. Only one of my rides didn't have the audio working, but it's still a great ride with or without it. Eric
