  1. ^ To some, sex IS candy... Eric
  2. I think Mars may discontinue the Mocha flavor M&Ms Premium flavor! Eric
  3. ^ Likes to hammer his point home. < ¿Que es el "Chuck E. Cheese?" V Queso...in your pants!
  4. ^^ The regular pass covers admission only and you get the coupon booklet. With the Xtreme Pass, you get that PLUS parking each visit, and a 25% discount on most food and merchandise. At one time, SFMM had special passholder previews for new attractions, but haven't for quite some time. As Calicoasters said, the food discount is enough for me to rethink making a trek all the way down to The Old Road to eat. And Bolliger&Mabillard is right, too. Believe me, Six Flags wouldn't offer these passes at these prices if they were losing money. And I still stand by my thoughts about increasing the price. It's still well worth it. Eric
  5. ^ Going to Canada. < Never been to Canada, but has heard of it. V Never been to Canada, but likes their geese!
  6. ^ It's only fair that McDonald's takes pounds, because eating their food puts the pounds right back on you! Eric
  7. ^^ I have the Xtreme Play Pass, which is only $125. To me, that pass is WAAAAYYY underpriced. In fact, one time I even told Jay Thomas that they could bump that pass up to $200 and I'd still pay it because even at that price, it's quite a bargain! Needless to say, Jay told me he liked my way of thinking. The trouble is that so many people can't justify paying that much for a Six Flags pass because it's not "of Disney quality." True in some respects, but it really depends on what you want out of a theme park. Well themed, relatively tame rides, or big thrilling rides? Honestly, I prefer the latter, so that's where I go. And SFMM is only half as far from me as the DLR is. Eric EDIT: By the way, I won't make it out to SFMM today. But I am wearing my freshly washed TAKE THE TUNNEL shirt from Termination Day!
  8. "POST 1002!!!" (chmilo24) We can't see your info (location, post count, etc.) so for all we know you're just making that up! Eric
  9. The Windstorm looks like the very same model that the Santa Cruz boardwalk has, which I've ridden and enjoy. I'm sure your dad had a good time despite the look on his face... On a side note, Diana used to collect these. I ran all over the World Showcase at Epcot to get her one from each country (and succeeded!). And I got her a Windjammer one at Knott's long after that ride even closed! Eric
  10. ^ Goliath seems to do just fine with two trains. Whenever they run three, they just seem to stack the third one---at least most of the time in my observation. I'm thinking about heading out there tomorrow...it's a maybe, but we'll see. Eric
  11. "Where's the Pepsi?" (Schmoofy) I've always heard that "Pepsi" is a word that should never be said in Atlanta. Which works for me because I drink Coke products anyway. Well, except Beverly... Eric
  12. ^ Trade you for my tampons! Eric
  13. I found some 90% cacao dark chocolate and can't wait to try it. Eric
  14. Two real life ones for me: I went to Jack in the Box and got a senior discount without asking. I'm not quite 50. FML. A free sample of tampons came in the mail from Playtex, addressed to me. I'm a guy. FML. Eric
  15. I replaced the taillight bulbs in my car for the first time ever. It's a 2002 CR-V for you taillight enthusiasts. Eric
  16. Keep in mind, too, that it isn't a park policy, it's a limitation set by the manufacturer of the ride, in this case, Bradley & Kaye. Strangely, though, Timberline Twister at Knott's is also a B&K ride, but has a higher height limit. Eric
  17. A good drop tower would work well at SFMM, especially something like Acrophobia because of its capacity. It'd be cool if somehow Intamin could design something with half standing/half seated riders. Diana is out at SFMM as I write this, and she says it's not crowded at all. Eric
  18. ^ Canyon Blaster at Circus Circus isn't too bad---at least the last time I rode it. Eric
  19. I could have gotten that credit back in 1971 when that ride was the Clown Coaster. Back then, it was an age limit, not height, and I was 12 (the maximum). Oh well... Eric
  20. ^ Uses "phs" for "fs". < Uses Mobil gasoline. V Drinks Mobil gasoline!
  21. ^ That certainly wouldn't be a bad idea. It's better to be prepared for that which may never happen than to make an assumption and get caught unprepared. Eric
  22. Remember, this is L.A. They need any extra cop cars to help out with the freeway pursuits. I just rode Batman recently and didn't notice the car gone. When was it removed? Eric
  23. ^ I never noticed that, but maybe that's because I'm a little slanted myself. But that is indeed a good idea. Wooden coasters tend to have a bit more play, so "forcing" a train to one side all but guarantees that it'll line up with the brake fins. Eric
  24. ^ I think in Japan, a rick roll is a kind of sushi. Eric
  25. "...the train I was in had no sound, so no 'take the tunnel' for me" (speedracer) I believe that was Train 2. That's why when I rode it, I turned around at the top of the lift and yelled, 'HERE THEY COME!!!" and then again just after passing through the station and yelled, "TAKE THE TUNNEL!!!" A few other riders enjoyed that. When you don't have what you need, improvise! Eric
