  1. My cup tipped over. Eric
  2. I've seen a few shouting matches, a little shoving, and a couple of minor fistfights over the years, but haven't been involved with any. For whatever reason, people don't start anything with me. I'm only 5'8" and weight in at 150 lbs. soaking wet, so physically I'm not exactly a threat. Maybe I just look like I'll whoop their ass if they mess with me. I have had gangbangers walk past me at night during my walks without stirring up any trouble---and where I walk, they easily could. Eric
  3. I guess a good question is where will Disneyland build another major attraction? Sure, they're revamping the subs, they just re-did Space Mountain, and maaaayyyybe they can build something on Big Thunder Ranch. My guess, of course, is that something will eventually have to come out. Their last new major attraction, The Indiana Jones Adventure, was built in part of the old parking lot. That strikes me as funny, given the flak that SFMM gets for building its "parking lot coasters." As for DCA, I've been a few times, but really haven't explored everything. Sometime, I'll have to go and spend the entire day at DCA and not even go into Disneyland. Eric
  4. Aside from overpriced food/drinks, annoying people, etc., my biggest gripe is poor ride capacity and lack of single rider lines. Single rider lines would assure full trains leaving the station, and would obviously move more people through the line. Some park chains have picked up on this. I wish others would. Eric
  5. Here in Camarillo, it's about $2.50-$2.60/gallon for regular, then add a dime for each higher grade. There is one station here in town (a Union 76) that's charging $3.89 for full serve premium. Who in their right mind would pay that? Eric
  6. Methinks me'll go for a walk tonight, the weather's right, I might I might. Eric

    the Goliath

I like Goliath, personally. The only thing about it is that I wish it had been longer, with perhaps another airtime hill or a second big drop. But it's still the smoothest coaster I've ridden even after being open five years. I haven't had a bad ride on it yet. Eric
  8. If I eat any more cake, I'm going to sprout frosting. Eric
  9. I don't like eggs, so I never have to worry about this. Glad yours didn't burn, though, bocakey. And I hope you enjoyed 'em. Eric
  10. 10/10 --- It just makes me laugh no matter how many times I read it! Eric
  11. One thing to remember is that Disneyland's original Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad are Vekoma rides. So Vekoma isn't all that bad. Believe it or not, I didn't have any problems riding Kong (SLC) at SFMW five years ago. (Of course it may be terrible now, but I don't hear much about it.) The honest truth is that any ride can be bad. I've even ridden a couple of bad B&Ms. Eric
  12. It's a couple of months off, but I'll see if Diana wants to go. She'd really enjoy DDR and the Taiko Drum game. And probably SFMM, too. Eric
  13. ^ Called her a guy. < Is a guy. V Follows buses to get high off of diesel!
  14. ^ Spends too much time in the bathroom. < Spends too much time on the computer. V Spends too much time with his fingers in his nose!
  15. I've only been to two major league parks---Dodger Stadium and Anaheim Stadium...er Edison Field...um...Angels Stadium. I would like to go to the new parks in San Francisco and San Diego sometime. Eric
  16. Beginning Tuesday, I'm a bachelor for eight---count 'em, eight---whole days! Eric
  17. I've always been fascinated by Japan. One day, I'll go there. Eric
  18. What kind of a dumbass holds his child up as a shield when he's being shot at by police? In my opinion, this guy got his daughter killed. I'm tired of everyone blaming the police for everything. We have police because we have crime. And we have crime because of human junk like this guy. Eric
  19. I passed the cool test on my 16th birthday. Now I can go into the fridge without feeling any ill effects. Eric
  20. California's expensive and crowded, but I live in a good area (Ventura County) with mild weather, peace and quiet, and all the fresh, locally grown strawberries and produce I can eat year-round. So I'm staying for now. Eric
  21. The trouble with most coasters that go for records is that they can be "one-trick ponies." Not always, of course, but as has been said already, bigger is not necessarily better. Just to answer the question of the topic, chances are it will be Intamin with a rocket coaster. They're only 44 feet from that mark with Kingda Ka, and I think they'll tweak their hydraulic launch system just enough to do it. Speed? 120 mph got them to 420 feet on Top Thrill Dragster. 128 mph got them up to 456 feet on Kingda Ka. My guess is that they'll get the speed up to about about 140 mph to get them over the 500-foot mark. Eric
  22. Dairy...me like cheese! Eric
  23. Goliath at SFMM on July 4. Eric
