  1. In that third photo from the end, Dan doesn't look so thrilled either. Eric
  2. I don't think I'm going to get to the L.A. County Fair this year, so it was nice to see some photos. The night and action shots were very nice. What kind of camera are you using? RCS used to do the Ventura County Fair, but now they bypass us because they're busy between the Del Mar Fair, the Orange County Fair, and L.A. Eric
  3. This morning during our men's Bible study, one of the guys was talking about something and used the word "bullshit." Can you say that at a Bible study? Eric
  4. I fall into the first group, and I have an ongoing spreadsheet with the coasters I've ridden, but as time goes by, racking up credits for the sake of a credit is just becoming less and less important. Eric
  5. I watched that video twice to get a real good look. My conclusion: Eejanaika = Failure Surely someone out there can make this concept work smoothly. Eric
  6. Very honestly---and it may be a longshot, but---I think SFMM's next major coaster may well be wood. Psyclone is gone (thankfully) and Colossus...well...the old gray ride, she ain't what she used to be. Other Six Flags parks have two woodies (SFStL is getting a third one), so why not a new second one for SFMM? The only hitch is if corporate wants another Intamin plug-n-play (a la El Toro). Apparently, SFMM still isn't doing business with Intamin for whatever reason. But I think we'll see a small spinner (Tony Hawk) or similar before this. There's still the rumored Metro remake, too. Eric
  7. No. Have you ever been rear-ended while driving?
  8. I've always thought that a hypercoaster called The Great North Wind (or just North Wind) would be cool. Eric
  9. "The Japanese are indeed a patient, quiet people." (Nrthwnd) Not the one I married! But then, she was born and raised here in California and has a Type A personality, so... I look forward to visiting Japan someday. That place looks interesting. Eric
  10. "...Mack spinning coasters--with trains--like the one at Knott's Berry Farm." (Mind Eraser) I'd like to see more of those. Sierra Sidewinder is actually a lot of fun and easy to ride. My only complaint is that it isn't a bit longer. Eric
  11. Eyebrows trimmed...lookin' sharp once again. Eric
  12. No one is too young for a real life lesson. There's no need for "crap," per se, but there's nothing wrong with letting him know that he'd better change his ways if he wants to be a success. Eric
  13. I'm waiting for a FedEx package to arrive from my employer-to-be so I can fill out the paperwork to show up for work on Monday. And it isn't here yet... Also, I need to call a plumber so we can get our pipes/water heater checked out. Water pressure has dropped significantly as of late. I hope it's not a major/expen$ive issue. Eric
  14. I suspect that SFMM's Deja Vu's days are numbered as well. With its buddy Psyclone gone, losing Deja Vu opens a lot of room to expand, and I'm guessing that the rumored Thomas the Tank Engine or Wiggles area will show up there. Six Flags has become to be known for their thrills, but I'm glad to see that someone is steering them back to their real mission: a good, family theme park. Eric
  15. "Remember that Six Flags parks generally serve local markets." (Me) That's why Six Flags can get away with identical or nearly identical rides. And, again, the only ones who care that the same ride is in multiple parks are us enthusiasts. Never, ever have I heard some random person at a park say, with disappointment, "Wow! That's just like the one at Six Flags Great Adventure." Eric
  16. Reminds me a bit of Roar! at SFDK. I'll bet this will run Millennium Flyer trains. Eric
  17. Just noticed...I need to trim my eyebrows. And how! Eric
  18. ^ Just be sure the black specks on those bagels are actually poppy seeds! And remember that some people eat chocolate covered ants. Why? Your guess is as good as mine... Eric
  19. Interesting how none are recommended to go to Knott's Great America. Of course, there's no room there anyway. Eric
  20. About the clone issue... Remember that Six Flags parks generally serve local markets. Many of their guests have no clue that an identical ride even exists somewhere else. And if it's a good ride, who cares? As has been said, the world of theme parks does not revolve around us. It's a business that has to please everyone. Eric
  21. On Sunday, I get to go to my nephew's wedding out on Catalina Island. My brother (the nephew's dad) is conducting the ceremony. This'll be a fun day. Then I start my new job the next day. Eric
  22. You never own a cat. It owns you. Take it from one who's owned a few over the years. Eric
  23. ^^^ This ride is Six Flags' Batman of the '00s. I expect SFMM to get one sometime. Eric
  24. ^ Cool cat. I like your kitty! Eric
