  1. "you've willingly shelled out $15 (or whatever it is now) to ride Manhattan Express, just to get the credit" (WillMontu) I shelled out $7 back in 1999 and thought it was overpriced then... Eric
  2. ...if you compare the curves of a woman's body to those of a favorite coaster... Eric
  3. ^ Man in England. < Man in California. V Man in denial!
  4. I have no doubt that this is a good camera. However, for whatever reason, at our house, we tend to favor Canons. My own is a simple Canon A720IS (this is the infamous camera that I lost at WCB and got back). But I'm looking to get a Canon Rebel XTi. I just need to do some more research. To me, it's kind of a funny coincidence that Nikon has a model called "D40," and Canon has one called "40D." That's always mixed me up a bit. But anyway, enjoy your camera. I'm sure you've picked a good one and will get some great shots. Eric
  5. ^ Woman stripper. < Woman appreciater. V Woman eater!
  6. ^ When my wife worked at Thrifty Drug years ago, she told me of stories of people who'd find the same item a nickel cheaper across town. They'd return the item and go get it at the other place, basically spending a buck or two in gas to save five cents! I do like what Universal does---a free locker for 90 minutes. But, as many of you have said, I only bring the bare essentials with me to a park, and if I do any souvenir shopping, it's on the way out for the day. Some parks will hold your souvenirs for you; be sure to ask. Eric
  7. ^ Needs a pair of sunglasses. < Needs a new pair of sunglasses. V Needs a new pair of panty hose!
  8. ^ Happy advance birthday! I had filet mignon for dinner. Good stuff. Eric
  9. It's just like summer. Saturday on Catalina is going to be...niiice! Eric
  10. ^ Ric. < Eric. V A wreck!
  11. GEESE!!! EVERYWHERE!!! HELP!!! THEY'RE---OUCH!!!---ATTACKING ME!!! Eric
  12. "...though the cashier we approached (Nu, 6' blk male) was too busy on his t-mobile sidekick to help" (xgriffinx) Guest Relations isn't that far from the Cyber Cafe... Eric
  13. Honestly, I find that hil-AR-ious! Have you been to your home park this year?
  14. I have yet to get sick on any ride, but I do avoid high-G force flat rides. They don't call 'em "spin-and-barf" rides for nothing... Eric
  15. ^ It looks fine---about half as big as SFMM! Eric
  16. Just a note, when Knott's had ticket books back in the '70s, their ticket levels were opposite of Disney---that is, at Knott's an "A" ticket was for the big rides and "D" (their highest level) was for the little stuff. See? Y'all learned something new... Eric
  17. "Does the Florida Welcome Center really have a ceiling fan theft issue?" Maybe old people steal 'em! Nice TR. Eric
  18. ^ It's interesting that your diesel is less expensive than gasoline. Here in the U.S., it's quite the opposite. That's why the truck drivers are having such a hard time. Their rigs get five or six miles per gallon, so fuel costs for them have soared. And, of course, the cost of trucked goods is soaring as well. Railroads aren't safe from this, either. The price of diesel fuel to power locomotives is raising their costs as well. Eric
  19. ^ Well, at least we can't blame Texas anymore! Eric
  20. ^ You aren't allowed to pump your own gas in Oregon, either. Up there, I think it's to prevent spillage and protect the environment. Eric
  21. ^ That sucks. My mom was robbed last year and had to replace her car keys, credit/debit cards, etc. What a pain that can be! ^^ No worries. I've been on your side of the fence, too. Strangely, I like that better. Eric
  22. Honestly, not really. Too much to tell... Do you spend any time in a TPR chat?
  23. I just filled up my car at $3.799 for regular unleaded. Earlier, I passed a station that sold premium unleaded for $4.059. Naturally, Diana's car takes premium... But you know, we do nothing about it, so the oil companies continue to stick it to us. My CR-V gets 25 mpg overall, but I continue seeing so many big trucks and SUVs. That makes sense for large families or businesses, but too many kids these days want big trucks for some reason. They drive them like race cars and have to fill them up every half hour---pissing and whining all the way. Y'think if we all took it easy, slowed down, and walked whenever possible, instead of driving, it might ease demand and drop the prices a bit? [/tree hugging hippie lecture] Eric
  24. ^ WOW!!! I am sooo there... Eric
  25. "I haven't been there since they replaced the soap box racers with that horrible surfing-themed coaster" (Teacups Make Me Sick) Don't worry---you didn't miss anything. And that thing is gone anyway---that's where Xcelerator is now. Eric
