  1. X-Works doesn't translate. B&M knew people were making their confidentiality agreements worthless by looking at the clients listed on their track labels while the track sat outside their track factory, so they stopped listing clients on them, instead writing X-Works. Perhaps if we ever have two different coasters of the same color and type outside their factory at once, we'll see something like Y-Works. EDIT:^^Damn, beat me to it.
  2. GL for SFSL? They have the space and it would complement their ride collection nicely. They could put it next to BTR as part of a DC Comics area (I don't know if they have one already, I've never been there).
  3. How long is that last edge going to take? It's been somewhere around 3 weeks since the rest of the track was finished...
  4. Honestly, I don't think the lack of dueling killed Dragon Challenge. It removes a bit of the uniqueness and some offride photo opportunities, sure, but you barely ever saw the other train anyway while you were on the ride, and you still get two shining examples of snappy B&M inverts from before bimmers became soft and forceless. Basically, what I'm saying is the ride experience is the same, really. What I do think you can blame on HP that DID make the ride worse is the removal of themeing that came from the DD->DC conversion. I miss the entrance from DD so much sometimes...
  5. They could try for internaional clientele with a name in a foreign language! Seislide, maybe, for spanish customers, or for those well-versed in Latin, sexslide. Or, you know, maybe not that...
  6. If I remember correctly, they repainted Millennium Force last year.
  7. Ok, I'll play. Someone lock me in with 3 duckies.
  8. Petronas Towers, Malaysia, unless that's a really good photoshop... EDIT: The towers are in Kuala Lumpur
  9. You'd think I'd've thought of that (it being my avatar, and all), but for some reason I never thought of that maneuver that way. It's not officially considered, but it basically is, aside from the fact that it has variable banking while inclined loops don't. I love the looks of Swarm. It seems like it'll be excellent, if I ever get the chance to ride it...
  10. Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but is this the world's first sitting coaster with an inclined loop?
  11. You know, Chuck Norris is never really bankrupt, since the banks are too afraid to cut him off... In all seriousness though, the fact that they haven't come up with a name for this thing yet is really not encouraging. I don't think it'll ever actually get built. This is probably going to be Dubailand 2.0. I've been wrong before, though, so let's hope it pans out.
  12. These are easily some of the best-looking pictures I've seen on TPR! Very good job!
  13. That's going to shock the GP when they see it from the front gate. You can't see any supports in that pic because of the way the trees are. I don't think I've ever seen such a large distance unsupported, aside from maybe I305.
  14. Topper track is basically a steel shell around the existing wood, right? If so, is a fully topper-tracked woodie still a woodie, really? It hasn't happened yet and it is less radical than Iron Horse, but if the car only touches steel, is it really still wood?
  15. I would imagine the money would probably go to your parents if you're under 18. Still, though, if you have the sort of parents who would give you the money instead of keeping it, that is a lot of money.
  16. If I were the cruise line, I would give more to people with more expensive staterooms, reasoning that they more likely were either taking the trip of a lifetime or had more pricey things. That's not to say, however, that they should give less than the $14.5k to anyone, that seems like a good minimum amount.
  17. I had forgotten the property end of it. That number seems a bit low in light of that, but I suppose it depends on what you brought. It's a good effort, though, and those with expensive effects can still sue for damages.
  18. Is it $14,500 and a refund, or just $14,500? If it's a refund as well, that's pretty reasonable in my eyes. If not, it may be a bit low, but either way, it's not an insult like the claimed 1/3 off next cruise thing was.
  19. ^Interesting, I honestly wasn't expecting that.
  20. Does anyone think this could be the death of Carnival? I'll admit it's an awfully big company, but with the facts coming out the way they are, I know I would never consider taking a Carnival cruise, and I can't imagine I'm alone.
  21. Can B&M replace components on Intamin stand-ups? The same engineers worked on both, right? Are the track dimensions the same/are the trains cross-compatible?
  22. I am 18 and my first coaster was BTMR at WDW.
  23. Florida has three log flumes and two shoot-the-chutes, but I don't know if you'd call it "this side of the country" from VA. I'm thinking the old Arrow loopers. The trend's already begun (GASM, Python). I could see roughly the same space being used for something like a Gerstlauer Eurofighter or Intamin ZacSpin. Another trend which is in full swing is the removal of Arrow suspended coasters. BBW and Eagle Fortress are examples of this trend. These can take up quite a bit of space, as well. Finally, while not quite the same thing, I'm really hoping the Iron Horse (New Texas Giant) treatment catches on. Edit: ^Beat me to it.
  24. Peter Pan? Agreed probably something in Fantasyland. Also It's a Small World, perhaps?
