SFFT continues to release teases on the official park Twitter account (in addition to Jeffrey's account). . . and they just released this tease of the new trains: oh no. . is this a "comfort collar" . . on a B&M Dive Coaster? (really hoping that's just extra support for the water dummies. .and not actually part of the restraint)

possibly the best description of Frontier that I've seen (posted on a news site, in response to a Frontier flight from NY to Orlando having to emergency land in Raleigh due to unruly passenger/fight yesterday) "Frontier is always an adventure. They make flying Spirit and AirTran look like a private Gulfstream. Plastic seats. $3.00 for a soda. And... of course, the sort of fellow passengers that make you wish you didn't try and save a few bucks. In the end, you don't really save much and it's a huge crapshoot that you even get there." it's like a comedy bit. .

2021 TPR Coaster Poll Results!bert425 replied to A.J.'s topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! at first I was surprised that Hakugei was not in the top 10 (not to mention top 3). . . but I totally realize that just not a lot of folks have gotten to ride it. I'm sure will move up in next year's poll as more folks get to ride it (once travel restrictions further relax).

scroll back a page. . it's been talked about, and they also told us about it at Winterfest. they have an exclusive contract. . it will be the only one in Texas. it's a skycoaster but instead of 2-3 folks "flying" it's a "Disc-o" type seating for up to 24, i think they told us. it free-spins during the ride (after the free fall, while it's swinging)

yup. . and the Governor has been on TV all day today (and most of yesterday) telling folks that if the GRID fails, and it WON'T. .he says. . . it's not his fault. because he's done NOTHING to prevent the same failures they had last year. . . other than block bills to fix issues at the plants. no really. he actually said "if you lose power, it might not be the grid..it might be a tree fell on a power line" really.

^ we always stay here. Close to the park, and as a branded Courtyard Marriott? you know what you're gonna get, and it's a clean, comfortable hotel. it's also close to Colonial Williamsburg if you wanted to do that too. https://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/phfwb-courtyard-williamsburg-busch-gardens-area/?scid=bb1a189a-fec3-4d19-a255-54ba596febe2&y_source=1_NjUwMzE1LTcxNS1sb2NhdGlvbi5nb29nbGVfd2Vic2l0ZV9vdmVycmlkZQ%3D%3D

Dollywood Discussion Threadbert425 replied to crispy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! I think Dollywood actually will happen this year for me. . . from Winterfest, was given a free day admission (and the folks I was with gave me theirs. . so I have 4 passes (ie: 2 days for Spouse and I)). So absolutely NO excuse *not* to try to get a visit in. . maybe fly on Friday, stay in Gatlinberg (that's close, right?), and go to the park Sat/Sun. . fly back Mon. certainly looking into this seriously now. Nick can't ride much, but with so many shows/non-ride things at Dollywood, and free admission? yeah, think it's finally time to attempt a visit perhaps over the late summer.

^ you also need to factor in Staffing is a *major* issue. so yeah, that's affecting the hours. During the Winterfest SFOT presentation, a question was asked about the early hours meaning no fireworks, and the park rep. noted that by not using the fireworks during the slower periods, they are able to save them to use for bigger events that have yet to be announced. so yeah. .that's factoring in too. . budgets.
