...and yet Colossus and Superman are running one train, Ninja and Tatsu are running one train, Lex Luthor didn't open until much later, and Sky Tower and Jet Stream are closed to cut costs. Oh, and X2 is still down for who-know-how-long. I think the price increase in parking is totally justifiable. ...and that's why I'm not into sports.

I was a the park yesterday and here are some updates: Parking got to twenty dollars. Twenty dollars. That is criminal. There was one train/lane operation on Tatsu, Superman, and Ninja. Around 12:30, the crowds picked up. Seatbelts on YOLO weren't so bad. I don't feel like it slowed the wait times to much and it didn't ruin the ride for me. So that's good. Lex Luthor was closed for most of the day but reopened around four. I wish I could've gotten more in, but I guess that's going to be my last visit before letting my pass expire. That park has spiraled down to the point where I just don't want to go back.

I want USH to redo the Jurassic Park ride. I doubt Potter will be open by the same year Marty McFly goes back to Hill Valley in the Future. Iron Horse treatment for Colossus wouldn't be bad at SFMM, but I'd like to see the park fresh and clean before that happens. Not really local, but I would love for Sea World SD to get a new coaster (Maybe a wingrider?)

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said
Someotherguyuser replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Was just talking with a couple of GPs last night. The conversation turned to roller coasters and here's some of the amusing things they have said: "Superman at Magic Mountain was going to be the word's largest coaster. They just stopped about one-fourth of the way through because they ran out of money" Uh....I don't think so. "Roller coasters are NOT safe. I know you said you're ten times more likely to die in a car accident, but I don't believe that. ONE person DIED in a roller coaster recently!" Uh-huh. And how many people have died in car accidents since the NTAG accident? "The only coasters I'll go on are the safe ones that have no track. You know, he ones that stay in one spot and just shake." I've got nothin' here. -

I've never been to Vegas and I've never been on an El Loco. I should probably fix that next year. -
Went to the park again today. It was a brief visit (Only two and a half hours!) but I was able to get Coast Rider, Xcellerator, Montezooma, and Silver Bullet (2x) in. Something freaky happened to me on SB. On the top of the loop right after the first drop, the shoulder restraint lock gave and went up a bit! It wasn't much of an issue as the seatbelt lock was on and I pulled it back down, but that was a bit startling.

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said

Someone I knew who has gone to Disneyland's Halloween event has had a bad experience when it comes to the characters. This person happens to be one of those Disney nuts who has to have their pictures with the rare characters (Not that I'm judging those who are the same way ). She said that right before she could get in line to see one of the rare characters, the employee cut her off saying that they weren't letting anymore people in. She goes on to say that Disney has done her a huge disservice by doing that and Disney needs to hire more characters that are willing to work on an eight hour basis. She goes as far as to say that that Disney is going out of business just from her experience and the rumor about Star Wars land being put on hold! I tried to explain to her that Disney is a business, they have to make decisions to make more money (etc. etc. etc.), but she still is convinced that Disneyland and WDW are going out of business. I just....it's ridiculous trying to argue with people sometimes.
