  1. I also recently sent in my first deposit. I'm really looking forward to meeting you all as this will be my first TPR trip!
  2. That wave pool looks like it'll be nice. Hopefully it won't eventually become the Rave Pool.
  3. ^Looks like you all had a swell time. Thanks for sharing! I just love that sunset in the background of one of your photos. As for the video that was posted a few posts ago, the motion of the vehicle was far different than what I imagined it to be. I never realized the motion would so closely resemble Transformers. Then again, I had never known until now that Oceaneering helped provide the ride tech for Transformers.
  4. I thought it was confirmed to be premier who were making this coaster. Also, the track is the same style as the mummy ride. I wonder if this means they are taking out the Mummy ride soon as this will the same ride?
  5. How is having two Boomerangs right next to each other ever cool?
  6. I forgot about that effect! I remember the mist that those two statue jaguars would spray at you on the final brakes. With the new management, maybe they can bring that effect back fairly soon. Also, what was the fireball? I don't remember that one.
  7. I think WaterWorld is the oldest. That opened in 1996. T2 opened 1999.
  8. It would be very nice if they just dumped the theater and put in a brand-new Muppets attraction. I say dump the theater, combine it with the abandoned Millionaire building, and dust off those plans for the Great Muppet Movie Ride. It would be a nice way to balance the crowds for the Iron Man E-Ticket.
  9. I also prefer Silver Bullet as a somewhat "foreceless" coaster. I love the fact that it feels so smooth and free-flying throughout the entire ride up until the helix. Feeling those tight forces like on Batman can be fun, but I find the smooth feeling to be more enjoyable that being "forced" around all over the place.
  10. Great TR! I went there around the middle of October and it was a lot of fun! It's not scary like HHN or Knott's, but how can you say trick-or-treating at Disneyland is lame? I actually was a Ghostbuster as well when I went, but your costume has put mine to miserable shame. Mine was a cheap one with an inflatable proton pack. Haha Glad to see you had a great time!
  11. It might be a bit crowded considering that it's the last night of the event. I went on a Thursday night and it was pretty packed. I would say get ready for a descent crowd.
  12. Wow! Disney is another step closer in becoming the Skynet of entertainment haha. I wonder if this means that WDW's Hollywood Studios will proceed with doing that Star Wars land that has been floating around here and there?
  13. I agree with this. I'd rather Universal just completely re-do the Mummy USH has than to build an outdoor coaster with inversions. If USH had one highly themed roller coaster with descent airtime and speed like Orlando's Mummy, I don't think Uni needs another coaster with inversions. I'd rather USH just focus more on purely themed rides instead.
  14. That looks amazing. I can't remember the last time scarezones got that kind of theming in any of the U.S. parks. Makes me want to fly out to Singapore during the Fall.
  15. This is fantastic news!!! I've noticed that Pespi is slowly but surely being shoved further out of society...
  16. That all looks incredible. I'm Already thinking about a trip sometime around 2015 to see the new Fantasyland in its fullest form, Avatarland, and the expanded Harry Potter. It's a long wait, but I have to see everything. I'm sure there will be a few people of the general public that will look at the wait time by the "Enchanted Tales with Belle" experience and assume it's a ride. I can hear the complaints now. "That sucked! I thought this was a ride! I waited forty-five minutes just to watch robot furniture!?"
  17. Maybe something along the lines of a D-Ticket "Villian's Lair" type dark ride would be a nice fit. It could have a nice "Freak show" theme.
  18. Coming from a very big fan of HHN, I would have to say Knott's this year. Haunt looks like it's going to be amazing this year as it would be a darn shame to miss it this year. HHN, though it looks promising this year, just isn't really thinking outside the box this year like Knott's is doing this year. But if you can, go to both. I'll still weigh out the pros and cons foryou and event planning. Knott's: If you go, plan to get there an hour before the park opens. They will have a special opening scareamony with the Greet Witch. As soon as the park opens, do Evil Dead (Log Ride overlay) first, head for the four mazes in the backstage (Trick or Treat, Endgames, Delirium, and Dominion), and then go for you Trapped reservation (Depending on what time you set). If your reservation that you made for Trapped is earlier than 9:00PM, then I would stick with the houses closer to it (Dia, Bobo's, or Pinnochio). You want to hit Evil Dead when the park first opens for the event since the line for it will be slammed all night with an hour-and-a-half to two hour wait. Pros: -Interesting original concepts for all of the houses -Quantity -VERY special VIP house that is Trapped. -Evil Dead: The Ride. Only haunt I know of that currently features a haunted ride. -More variety of unique shows (The Hanging, the Midnight Witch hanging, Haunt: Unearthed, which will be in mystery lodge, and Tonga Tiki Terror, which will have the lead puppeteer from Team America involved). -Getting to Trick-or-Treat (Literally!) while waiting in line for Trick or Treat. -Great backstory and overall theme (Don't know if this will mean much to you). -Boysenberry punch. Cons: -Though the coasters looks tempting, you most likely won't get to ride them if you want to get all of the haunted houses and must-see shows done. (Four shows I mentioned above). -They do repeat a lot of the same themes from previous years, but they will have some new things in the older houses. -The sets aren't quite movie-quality like Universal's are, but judging by Delirium and Endgames, they have been improving in detail. -The crowds tend to be a bit more annoying than HHN. Halloween Horror Nights: Plan to get there at least an hour before the park officially opens. (Plan to actually BE THERE at six). They usually let the people in fifteen or twenty minutes early. Do Alice Cooper first after the opening scareamony and then run to the lower lot. I would advise having dinner at CityWalk before you go in; if you do so, then plan to arrive around 5:30. If you can't make it in early, then buy the FoTL pass. Pros: -Movie-quality sets and make-up -Terror Tram on the Universal backlot -*Mostly* new content every year Cons: -If you miss out this year, you won't get to see any of the houses next year, though they may bring one back. -No theme or backstory. Just different themes jumbled together. -Mediocre scarezones (In my opinion). -Only one show...but it's a good one. -Smaller quantity, smaller park=bigger crowds and bigger lines. -Not nearly as much originality as Knott's in terms of haunted houses. I might be missing something in those lists, but that's all I can think of right now.
  19. I'm very impressed with what has been shown so far of the new Fantasyland. It sounds like I may have to take a trip back out there to see this cool experience and the Snow White coaster when they open. Also ghost I have to disagree with you, I hope they DON'T bring this to Disneyland. I want some incentive to visit the MK.
  20. One of the FB replies of the Full Throttle announcement: Yes, the video clearly shows Apocalypse in the background.
  21. Don't forget Singapore! Have you seen the Puppet Master icon they have over there? I want him for the U.S.! So they're having a haunted house INSIDE the Terminator theater? I want to fly over there just to see how that will work.
  22. What if it's a themed coaster of some sort? Like I dunno.....
  23. I'm really surprised nobody mentioned this yet, but Indy is finally going down for a three month refurb. Can I say finally? Hopefully they'll spruce up the old ones and add a few new ones. http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneyland/indiana-jones-adventure/
  24. One of these days, I'm hoping to visit a park like this. It's a blatant knock-off of other rides at Disney and Universal, but they're good ones. That 3D simulator with six large moving platforms kind of reminds me of Despicable Me/Jimmy Neutron on a grander scale. That Dino Escape ride looks pretty interesting. I'm very interested to see a POV video if there is one.
