  2. Smuckers will discontinue the Knott's label on their jars of jellies. http://www.ocregister.com/entertainment/knott-497437-name-berry.html I honestly like this idea as it makes their jelly a unique product from the park as opposed to something you can buy from the store.
  3. I will find it especially interesting if YOLOLcoaster really does open the same day. I can't remember the last time more than one park in the same area opened their new attractions on the same day or even weekend.
  4. I'm getting a bit more excited about Full Throttle now. I read somewhere regarding one of the tours that we should have a bit of airtime over that hill. I'm also looking forward to trying those wings, but not looking forward to those prices.
  5. I cant believe some pencil-pushing bean counter at TDA would approve of an over-budget meet-and-greet. This is Walt's original Magic Kingdom, not WDW where they spend more money on NextGen and Princesses. Not only does this decline Disney's standards by degrees and allow guests to love Las Vegas bombasts of princesses instead of new attractions, but the theme of Fantasyland now barfs into Main Street. If Walt just saw what disaster that was erupting in his precious park, he would have a fit and then demand that WDW be torn down! Think of all the money they could have done with that by fixing chipped paint in the backstage areas and adding more waterfalls and trees! Joking aside, I never really paid attention at Fantasy Faire until now. This is looking really good! I'm not that interested in seeing the princesses, but I would check it out just for the thematic factor and to try the treats at Marice's cart. I'm looking forward to checking this out.
  6. Great trip report! I love that shot of Tower in the fog. Also, the Seven Dwarfs coaster is looking great! I'd love to take another trip down there next year to see Potter and the full Fantasyland. Glad to see you had a great time!
  7. I agree with this. While I always love a new coaster, I would've preferred SFMM take at least a year off to spend on park improvements. Unfortunately with these rumors circulation about Colossus being redone (Don't get me wrong, I would love this!), it doesn't look like it will happen anytime soon.
  8. Isn't SFMM marketing slogan now, "GO BIG!!!!" So why didn't they?
  9. Nice update! Makes me wish I could visit Universal Orlando soon. Ugggghhh. I feel that fix to ride Hulk, Mummy and Men in Black! Was Hulk really that bad? Last time I rode it (which was Fall 2010), I remembered it being fairly smooth.
  10. Just took a survey for new attractions for next year and here's what I put on what I would like to see: *Note that I made myself try to sound like a GP as much as possible so that I did not sound like I'm not apart of their core audience. Hopefully they won't catch on that I'm someone from TPR and void it. *Link removed* After taking the survey, I'm not sure if it's a good idea to post the link on here. One of the sections they asked about is confidential. I just found it interesting that they asked a lot about the Universal and Disney themed rides though (Which wasn't in the "Secret section". And to be honest, I would like to see SFMM try to have a dark ride in their park. I would love to see that Justice League ride they opened up in Movie World in the park.
  11. When I was there last month, it wasn't there. They discontinued doing that.
  12. Lakeside at Colorado. Some of the rides were worn down and I even heard someone was smoking pot in one of the restrooms.
  13. It generally is fairly crowded, but it shouldn't ruin your day. I went one time during then and park-hopped (This was before Carsland was open) and I got most of the stuff I wanted to do in both parks in one day. I missed a couple of rides though. If you're going to spend two days there, here's the best way to go: I would not recommend park-hopping as it would be way too overwhelming, especially since lines will generally range from 45 minutes to an hour and a half around the time you're going. Do Disneyland one day and then DCA the other. That way you won't feel so rushed and you can enjoy yourself more. If you want to do all of the rides and get multiple rides on Screamin' and Racers (Which you will), then get there the minute they open or at least shortly after they do so. The crowds are generally fairly thin around this time. Get a Fastpass for Racers as soon as you get in, and then go straight to Paradise Pier to get some rides in. Oh, and another thing. There are some good restaurants across the street (Meaning just a five-minute walk from the plaza) if you want more for your $$$. There's an a Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles opening soon IHOP, a Mimi's, a Subway, and a McDonald's. There's also some other restaurants in Downtown Disney. Hope this helps!
  14. Interesting. Now that she's gone, could SeaWorld San Diego be allowed to build another legitimate coaster (Like Orlando's Kraken or Steel Eel), or are there still some regulations applied?
  15. Screamscape reported some time ago that it would replace Cirque de la Mer. That's probably where it's going. As for the 4D theater, it would be great to have Turtle Trek in there, but I'm not giving my hopes up.
  16. Good grief! It's just one horror story after another with this cruise company! Now I really don't want to sail with Carnival. Ever.
  17. I'm pretty certain it's going to be the display of the DeLoreon. I've heard some rumblings that one of the other projects Murdy has been working on involves the House of Horrors.
  18. I just want to post this for the heck of it if the last one was the last one.
  19. Now that we're on the subject of making odd coaster comparisons, I think Timberline Twister is by FAR the superior coaster to X2. Nothing beats Timberline. Nothing.
  20. I love how the update was essentially this: "Here's a picture of Transformers. Okay, we're done. FOOD! FOOD! FOOD!" That food looked awesome! If there was a special price for the event I would have to pay to have that food, I'd be so down! ***Wasn't complaining at all earlier. I just found that humorous.
  21. It's too bad that people will always believe that what they think is right and there is absolutely nothing anyone can do about it. The people who think that Riddler's Revenge is really Riders Revenge are the kind of people that are completely unacceptable of other ideas. Even if those ideas are more right than the ones they have right now. ????? I don't understand this post?
  22. I was at SFMM today, and I heard some guy refer to Riddler's Revenge as "Rider's Revenge". Some girls in Goliath were screaming "YOLO!" in the station. It's only going to get worse once Full Thrott1e opens. EDIT: Haha! In your face word filter!
  23. Nice! I'm leaving shortly for the park as well! I'm only going to spend a couple of hours there. I'll try to get a few pics there as well. I'll be the guy sporting the USH hoodie with blue jeans if you happen to run into me.
