  1. It probably has to do something with the door effect in the beginning.
  2. "World Mecca for Horror Fans?" That's a bit of a stretch. This sounds like it'll be a lot of fun. I've never been to Vegas so I might finally go when the haunt opens.
  3. It was supposed to be a "chain replacement". Speaking of refurbs, since they just refurbed the Matterhorn, I heard it's possible that Indy might be the next E-Ticket to get next to get a major refurb this Fall.
  4. Currently, I only have passes to SFMM and USH. I used to have a pass for Disneyland, but it's gotten so blasted expensive, I just go once in a great while now. Besides, I'm too busy with work and school to have one now anyway. USH and SFMM are the two parks I go to frequently considering that they're pretty close. I happen to go to school within view of Magic Mountain (College of the Canyons, anyone?) so I tend to go there for a few hours after my class on my days off from work. USH is the closest to me so that's another park I visit frequently on my days off. IMO, it's the best value in the market. I upgraded my pass recently for the Deluxe pass (Which I'm pretty sure is $105). You get no blackout dates on it.
  5. From what I've been on, Millennium Force.
  6. The park full of things that are worn down or rotting away like the monorail tracks, old structures that are no longer used that are falling apart in plain sight, inefficient ride operations (One train ops, not allowing Green Lantern to flip), nasty restrooms and bees surrounding trash...I know there's some stuff I'm still forgetting. Although I love the rides there at SFMM, I can't help but feel like it's just a run-down carnival. It's one of the major coaster parks of the country, but their management there gives me the impression that they don't feel like it is. While adding Lex Luthor and Full Throttle will be nice, I just would like to see them take a brake from adding new rides and just focus on fixing up the park and making it look nice again. While they're at it, improved operations would be nice as well. After seeing that survey question on Screamscape about Full Throttle going backwards, I am hoping and praying that it will NOT be a shuttle coaster that goes backwards on the same track. If it is, the capacity will be AWFUL.
  7. You know,if they're picky enough to redo Ariel's hair, maybe they'll take the time to update a ride that could really use it....like, um, Indiana Jones?
  8. Wow. I was just at USH two days ago and the stand that sells the Energon was still being worked on. Does anyone know if I can fill my HHN sipper cup with energon for $.99, or is it another price since it's a specialty drink?
  9. Crazy idea here, but what if they built a haunted house inside of the Sky Tower for Fright Fest? That would certainly be something Knott's or Universal could never do and give SFMM the upper hand in marketing for the haunt season.
  10. For me, it would be Superman: The Krypton Escape. Dragster at Ceder Point would be the second tallest that I've ridden.
  11. You have the box office to blame. Aside from that, it'll be great to see Test Track receive this treatment.
  12. I find your post has no logic, therefore you should never step foot into an amusement park where screams happen all the time. Honestly, I had neighbors across the street who were autistic and their conditions (was able to hear loud-ish noises in place of speaking) were nowhere similar to CGA's scream commercial. I did not even think of autism or tourette's syndrome when I saw this commercial multiple times. Really, these people spamming CGA's Facebook are far more irritating than what the commercial could potentially be (not that I'm irritated/offended by it). Now glad I got this off my chest. Talk about political correctness gone mad. I mean sure, its a pretty bad ad, but its not in the least offensive. There is also the possibility that this guy knows how to make some pretty darn good satire posts.
  13. I had the privilege to ride it this morning as well! Really great ride and a much-needed addition to USH. Just imagine how great the park will be with Despicable Me and Harry Potter being added!
  14. Were you talking about the Starflyer planned for on top of the Sky Tower and the Aquatrax? Whoops.
  15. On the SharpProductions FB page when SharpPro posted the image of the Transformers ride from employee preview: No, Transformers is at Universal...not Disneyland. *Facepalm*
  16. So it make more sense grammatically to call them general publics than the general public, or people among the general public?
  17. Well, it's a free concert, so what do you expect?
  18. NNOOOOOOOO!!!!! Not the secret bathroom! How can anyone take a dump at Disneyland peacefully now?
  19. My last coaster I rode was Goliath. Just got to ride it two times in a row today with no wait at all.
  20. Ooooh boy. While I was waiting in line to get into SFMM today before the gates had opened (Only spent about a couple of hours there), this family behind me was a GP goldmine. Some of their comments went like this: *Looks at the sign that says "Six Flags Spring Break Presented by Nerds candy"* "Six Flags Spring Break? Is that a ride?" "I heard there's a Six Flags Ceder Point somewhere in Ohio" *Looks at map that shows categories of thrill* "Which ride is Moderate Thrill?"
  21. *From a gp that commented on one of my friends' statuses about the Glee episode shot at SFMM* Keep in mind that this guy lives in the same state as the park. Actually, there are TWO SF parks in Ohio! King's Island and Ceder Point!
  22. I don't think I would say that it's better than the one in Orlando as that version is a flyer, but the theming does look like it will definitely be on-par with the east coast version.
  23. I'm sure the brakes will just be clamped onto the ride's tower.
  24. From what I'm hearing, it's still in Blue Sky right now. Nothing solid at this point.
  25. Really? Look how long it took to build Transformers at USH. They began construction April of 2010 and just finished a few weeks ago...for a ride with a bare-bones and cut-dry building. For an attraction with lots of theming outside AND interior scenes planned for it, I'd say that's just enough time for such an attraction.
