  1. What I meant to say is, are guests are even going to pay attention to the Simpsons Ride anymore when Transformers opens? It's going to do everything Simpsons does, but better times ten. Either you, I think you already answered my question. I could see it as Simpsons provides humor wile Transformers provides action-packed realistic thrills. I think what Jedi is saying is that Simpsons is not in Singapore. He wasn't referring to Transformers.
  2. You know, with the mix of physical effects and advanced motion simulation that Transformers is going to offer, I wonder how long it will be before the Simpsons Ride becomes relevant anymore.
  3. I'm honestly most excited for Transformers. Judging by the reviews in Singapore, it doesn't sound like it's going to live up to what some of us thought it would be. Despite that, I'm very excited to see how the ride will turn out being that it will be the West Coast's long-awaited next-gen Spider-man.
  4. Disneyland California Adventure Universal Studios Hollywood Six Flags Magic Mountain Knott's Berry Farm Last year was definitely one of my better years as it was all of those plus the parks at Disney World and the two at Universal Orlando. I didn't go to SFMM last year for some reason.
  5. When do tickets go on sale--or are they already on sale?
  6. That's a shame, really. I hope this new GM doesn't do the same thing with ghost Town as he did with that shack. As much as I want a megalite or anything like that, I don't want all of Ghosttown to be demoed for the sake of such a ride.
  7. I'm just hoping that whatever they replace LJ with, it will have at least SOME airtime and not rely so much on speed or inversions.
  8. Alright question: In the motion simulator scenes, are there wind effects used? I'm hoping they used wind on those scenes because when I rode Potter, it just didn't feel that convincing without the wind.
  9. Universal's the closest park to me. It would be about fifteen to twenty minutes from where I live. Magic Mountain would be about half an hour.
  10. I agree. If they got rid of the mine ride, it wouldn't really be a big deal to me. If it's possible, it would be very nice to keep the Log Ride since, like you said, it's really what makes Haunt so unique.
  11. ^ TMLR was down during the day for Haunt? Really? Last time I went to the park during the day in October, the ride was open, but all of the Halloween stuff was covered with with black blankets--keep in mind that this was around 2005 or 06 back when they had Red Moon Massacre.
  12. If that's the case...then why was Log Jammer taken out?
  13. Soooo...who's going to watch it on YouTube when Transformers opens? It's going to be very hard for me to not watch it until May.
  14. I did a search and didn't see a thread for this, so I thought I would start one. If there is already a thread for this and I missed it, then please close this. Anyway, with Transformers very close at hand, I've also heard rumors about something a new ride coming for WaterWorld. It would be sometime well after Transformers, but I could see it happening. It would make sense considering the Evolution plan to replace WW with something new. Wishful thinking here, but I would love to see the Ghostbusters ride that was proposed for Dubailand to replace WW. If the upcoming third film does well (Yes, it is in development), then I could see it happening.
  15. @SoCalCoasters: Well here's the thing about the next-gen Spider-man theory: Since Universal has announced that they're giving Spider-man some upgrades, I don't think they're going to replace it with Transformers, if that's what you're getting at. That's assuming it would cost more than we think. On the other hand, like someone pointed out already, the only problem would be the lack of a second story. But when does management or Obama say that they have to use the elevators? They could easily just have two screens back-to-back to substitute for the elevators; that way, if they do plan on taking out Spiderman, they wouldn't have to redo the building and save a ton. Then again, I would rather have Transformers exclusive to Hollywood and Singapore so that Orlando will have some incentive to visit us, but then again, I thought I would bring up how Florida could incorporate Transformers over there.
  16. Thanks! Just reading that sign made me smile. "This ride will spin, accelerate, drop, climb, and jar". Yay for dizziness!
  17. If she likes Diet Coke, then Office Depot is the place for you.
  18. Her Black Wings - Danzig
  19. Great pics! It'd be cool if there was a pic of the warning sign to see what specific manures the ride vehicles do. * maneuvers. Sorry.
  20. Anybody remember the Thrill Park that was proposed for Orlando? Yeah...
  21. Nah. Just a dark ride. An Amazing Adventures of Shamu or Sea Lions of the Caribbean will suffice. Better yet, how about the Den of Lost Trainers?
  22. Regarding my last post, I apologize for not being very clear about what I meant to say. I know we are getting Manta, but what I meant to say is that it feels like SW San Diego just seems to be playing second fiddle in comparison to what Florida gets. I mean, they're getting a big dark ride, a massive 3D show, and other cool animal exhibits, but all we're getting is just a "smaller" roller coaster to fit the CCC's standards. It's nice we're getting something, but it would be nice to see the SD park get a legit dark ride or something.
  23. I would assume it was most-likely a cost issue that killed the Log Jammer. Maybe they couldn't afford to keep it maintained.
