Hey everyone. This is really old news but Id like to repost the pictures from High Roller's last day of operation, and the beginning of dismantling of the ride. All pictures were taken from public areas in the tower. No rules were broken to take these pictures. High Rollers Final Day of Operation: December 30th 2005. Some of the last riders of the High Roller. This was around 2:15AM December 31, 2005 Right before the High Roller cycled for the last time.

Fantasmic! Reopened over the weekend with some technical changes. There were some changes to the lighting and finale with a reduction in fireworks. People say it ruins the ending but I think its better. Heres a video I found on YouTube that has both the beginning and the end. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLji5SjbXQk I find that the lighting made the scenes easier to see in the show, however I haven't been out there myself yet to see the revamped show. But from what I see, I think the fireworks now seem to synced a lot better than before. Here's another angle. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJR55EQsm_M John -

Six Flags Magic Mountain Announces "X2"
Mr Stratosphere replied to Loco's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Actually I apologize lol. I guess I was never really that observant with the trains. I only noticed the support on the top of the seats. I only noticed it on the prototype train in the video. They seemed to be well disguised here! But now I see it! John -

Six Flags Magic Mountain Announces "X2"

Thanks for posting! Did you guys notice how different the "Pickle Forks" are on the prototype than what they were on the 1st gen X Trains? The prototype had support on the bottom of the seats as well. Do you think weight was probably an issue there as well? John -

Happy Birthday!! ~John -
I personally as well have never used a locker at an amusement park. I always wear cargo pants or shorts that have zipper pockets to store my wallet, keys, phone, and my camera. I've never had a problem. I also bring zip-lock bags to put my things in when I go on water rides. I always just plan ahead. I know I'm going to be going on rides so I'm always prepared. I'd rather save my money for food and souvenirs lol. John

I believe its actually a chain lift dog, what the train actually uses to attach to the lift chain. Please correct me if I'm wrong. John -

Doesn't Thunder Dolphin at LaQua have some trick track too?? -
Thanks for the video Jahan, I'm really looking forward to seeing this up there. I tried to do something like this at the Stratosphere Tower before I left there, but it never left the ground. Its hard to find construction pictures of the tower. I was thinking does anyone have pictures of MM while the park itself was under construction?? John
