  1. So my SFNE went well yesterday. Light crowds all day long. We got Bizarro and Goliath done right at the start of the day and just kind of floated around the park after that. Most rides where walk ons except for Bizarro which was 15 minutes and Goliath which was an hour. (the new ride plus normal GIB problems) It was hot as hell in the morning but after a storm closed down all of the rides for about an hour and a half at around mid day it cooled down and was really nice. We watched the magic show while it was raining, it was pretty cool. I always love live shows. The pace for the day was pretty relaxed and we ended up leaving at around 7:30 after a 2 hour Bizarro marathon. Ride count for the day: Goliath - 1x Flashback - 1x Thunderbolt - 1x Cyclone - 1x Gotham City Gauntlet - 1x Mind Eraser - 1x (never again) Dark Knight - 4x (2 front) Bizarro - 10x (3 front, 2 back) I have to say Six Flags New England is a nice little park. I really liked all of the old buildings from the Riverside days and the history behind the park. Plus Bizarro is probably my number one steel coaster now. It’s basically the right mix of everything and a close to prefect coaster in my opinion.
  2. So a quick set of questions. I am planning on going to the park for the first time next Wednesday. Just wondering how long the lines will be and what is the best seat on each major coaster? Also any other tips?
  3. ^^ Glad to see the someone else has appreciation for some the older rides in the park. To many people rule them out as old and boring with out even riding them. The front row of Whizzer at 10 P.M. is still one of the best rides around.
  4. Thanks for the advice! I will defiantly follow this , especially going to Fahrenheit at the start of the day .
  5. So I am going to Hershey Park for the first time a week from Wednesday. I want to hit all of the major rides at least once. So I was just wondering what the best seats are and what are the best times to ride everything?
  6. Man. I think more parks need to get these kind of "movie screens".
  7. No comments Well the track work is done. This will be the entrance to the station. The exit will be on the other side. Enjoy!
  8. I agree. Wooden coaster tend to look the best, but tube supports done right can also be epic. Also, thanks for all of the comments guys! ^I think this is kinda what you meant. Overview: Station: Airtime moments 7 and 8: And two artsy shots: Enjoy!
  9. I always thought TDK @ SFGAm was in a crappy place. A large, ugly box right in front of the park.
  10. Raging Bull = Back Row X Flight = Right Side, Front Row Batman = Front Row V2 = Front or Back row Viper = Back row Eagle = Red Side, Back Row Superman = Never really matter to me, Pretzel loop is awesome anywhere. Whizzer = Front Demon = Back Row Also ride Giant Drop, I prefer it on the side where you can see the majority of the park. These are my personal preferences. Have fun! I believe X Flight is only included with the platinum flash pass, and if you don't have a pass for it I would go either right at the start of the day or at the end. After about 9 the park really tends to clear out.
  11. I believe Arrow manufactured all of it's OTSR's to accommodate 48" or taller, as was stated in a roller coaster documentary about them in the 80's. I'm 6' 1'' and I hardly fit in the car. I have to slouch down a bit in order to put the harness down and not have it dig into my shoulders. I can imagine anyone much taller then me riding it. Still a fun ride, great airtime in the back car going over that first drop.
  12. Lost my phone on Superman yesterday. Hopefully I will see it in the box next year.
  13. ^My cat loves to hang out around my coaster and to go in them when he can. So the next section is finished. With the addition of hill over the lift and the following air hill (which I will probably be changing to make more GCIish) I am up to 7 out of 10 airtime moments. As you can see on the ground in the pictures bellow, I'm planing a figure 8 finale. Which will include the remaining 3 airtime spots and a bunch of twisty goodness. It wont be just a basic figure 8 The angle and elevation of the turns will be changing just like real GCIs. But I'm not totally sold on the idea so if anyone has any good, twisty, airtime filled endings that would fit well on my GCI I am open to, and would appreciate, suggestions. Also, I am currently out of the following: All 3d connectors, granite rods, metallic green rods, and metallic blue rods, so a Knex order is called for and this will be the last update for a while (Week or two). And now pictures: Whats been built: Whats planned: Any ideas are welcome. Enjoy!
  14. ^ I prefer viper in the back row. Great floater airtime throughout the whole course. It is one of the best running woodies I have ever been on and I am amazed that it has stayed this way.
  15. Sorry. Double Post. Small update here. I'm just showing the finished fly by. Pics:
  16. Thanks for all of the feed back guys. I'm really trying to do this the best that it can be done. I'll have a update with the station fly by tomorrow. ^^ I plan on adding lateral supports to that turn and the large airtime hill once i'm done, as well as a few other places that may or may not structurally need them. As usually I'm running short on pieces so that's why I am waiting to the end. I also have a large station and some paths that need to be built.
  17. Thanks for the comments guys! Pics got a little blurry, Camera Issues. But I could really use some feedback on this turn before I move on. Enjoy!
  18. I only notice in the back row. I think its just the way the trans are attached to each other.
  19. The more or less exactly what I'm going to build next. It will be a little bit different but that's the idea.
  20. That's awesome! How long is the ERT? For seem reason I'm not seeing the times anywhere. Is it 9a.m. until the park opens?
  21. ^ They are awesome! Update: Another big turn will be going here. The track is going to connect to the fly by Bellow is all of the stuff the turn has to go over: And a nice surprise pop of airtime at the bottom: Overview: Enjoy!!!!
  22. And isn't trimmed to death. I haven't been on it this year but last season it hardly made it through the 2nd half of the course. You nearly came to a complete stop at the bottom of the helix.
  23. Viper's (SFGAm) double dip is awesome. Great ejector airtime in the back row.
  24. Dp. I have the next element done. You can also see where the coaster will be heading. and here's where its gonnin'
  25. The park has three wooden coasters.. I am sure they will not be adding a fourth any time soon. Either way, Viper is still better than anything that would compete with it. Yes, but why do you think we would get an El Loco?
