  1. I'd have picked the Mine Train over Potterville too, most likely. What settings do you have your camera on for the dark ride shots? I'm always surprised that you can get decent shots without a flash indoors. Too bad we're 500 miles apart or I'd love to have some photography adventures together since I have a nice DSLR that I can only seem to use for outdoor fast-moving shots LOL.
  2. The video is freaking hilarious!! Did you come up with a script ahead of time or did you just do it on the fly? What is the time frame for when Arendale will open?
  3. Great event coverage! I'm not into scary Halloween things but this looks like a lot of fun. I love the idea of the family costumes and you 3 really look like Newsies! How do the gravediggers get the shovels to spark in the parade?
  4. Glad you had a good time at SFA. I was there 2 weeks ago on a Saturday before they started decorating and the place was also dead. One train waits for everything. It's often like that, at least when I've gone. I've found the park to be very tidy in recent years but about 10 years ago it was not that way... trust me. Wild One and S:ROS kick major ass. Everything else is basically terrible, especially Batwing. Dispatches can vary between awesome and atrocious. Regarding the Penguin raft thing, if you didn't like Ragin' Cajun you would NOT want to ride that. You do not get wet, it spins you around in about 250 circles as you are spiraling down the slide and then you gently glide into the water at the bottom. Nice TR!
  5. Thanks for posting about this in your other TR. Two trip reports at once, yes!!!
  6. I have always wondered about the Nina Kleppe button as well. It's been around since before I became a TPR member but I never knew the story or joke behind it. Would someone mind sharing?
  7. ^ I've been hoping for years that HP would give Wildcat the RMC treatment. Wildcat used to draw huge crowds and yes, Lightning Racer is super fun, but Wildcat has a great layout and I really believe RMC could transform it back to the beast it used to be. Hopefully some day they'll do it but with Laff Trak and also the park expansion happening I doubt it's in the cards anytime soon.
  8. "And then we were directed out to the hallway and guess what….we walked right over to the bathroom and no one stopped us. We are all wild like that at times." Haha this is something I would do too! The meal at BOG looks very good... but everything you get always looks delicious. Does Claire use the $20 light up goblet at home? I'd have her use it for every meal for that kind of price lol. Will we see a picture of the Dumbo stuffed animal?
  9. Lightnin Loops: Thanks for the info on S:UF. I am supposed to make the trek up to NJ this weekend with a friend in from out of town but she's feeling a little under the weather, and S:UF is one of my favs so that may play into our decision on whether to still go this Sat.
  10. Does anyone know if S:UF down for the remainder of the season?
  11. I finally got a chance to read through this and catch up! Whew. I read it on and off throughout the day today so can't remember everything I was going to say. Here's what I currently have: - Approximately how long does the Agent P adventure take that you did in Epcot? I remember you guys doing some sort of adventures before on the cruises and maybe at DW before but all the trips are sort of a blur at this point haha. - The food at Via Napoli looks down right delicious and I've got to eat there on my next visit, as well as get a No Way Jose. YUM!!! - The new Fantasy parade is really impressive and it was funny because I was commenting to myself when viewing, "beautiful costumes" "wow, very detailed!" "cool!" and you kept saying the same things about the sets and costumes. - I know at the time it's frustrating as hell (been there, done that) but to read about your dad and his comments is hilarious!
  12. I love the Monday Fun emails. I sometimes don't have a lot of time to browse the forum so getting the highlights in an email that I can read from my phone when I'm waiting for appointments to start is great. I like that there is a brief summary before the links which makes it easy to pick and choose what sounds interesting. Plus, nothing cheers up A Case of the Mondays like roller coasters!! ETA - I don't follow TPR (or any site) on any of the social media outlets so updates there are useless to me. I much prefer the emails and forum!
  13. So...Much...Food... I want it all!!! How was the s'more bar? The picture looked not so good but what you ended up getting looked delicious. Now I want s'mores!
  14. I bet when you walked out of the airport back home your body went into total shock - sunny and warm to cold and snowy!!! Doesn't get much different than that. As always, sad to see your TR come to and end but I know you have more TRs waiting to be posted and I'm excited about the other trips planned for later in the year. Where are the upcoming trips to?
  15. I LOVE your red dress in the Mickey graduation picture!! Rain sucks and there is nothing on the planet I hate more than wet shoes so I'm with you there. However, it definitely scares away the crowds so I bet you hopped on everything at DL in no time.
  16. Thanks for posting! Ratatouille The Ride looks like a lot of fun. Did you enjoy the ride? I hope the USA adopts a trackless system soon.
  17. Adam, thanks for the detailed report on the new Potter expansion. It was enjoyable and informative to read!
  18. The dog crap ride looks awesome but the blue bear picking its nose in one of the last pictures had me doubled over laughing! Do most giant frisbees go up that high?!
  19. "“Guess what? Free Tampons” (You don’t know how badly I wanted to use that as my TR title. LOL)" OMG LOL!!! Only girls get how important this kind of knowledge is, especially when traveling! I always take the little bottles of ketchup too. It's sort of become a running joke with my family when we go on trips. "I just went to (insert awesome place) and I brought you back this little bottle of ketchup as a souvenir!" Recently my mom brought me back a little jar of this super fancy jelly haha.
  20. Really cool trip report Robb! As a winter weather gal and nature freak, I have always wanted to go to Alaska. Can you (or someone who has had it) describe what makes the "better than normal sex" salad so good? Is it the dressing, the combination of ingredients, ???
  21. The kids club looks like it could use some pixie dust to brighten it up a little. Doesn't look very Disney-like to me! Claire changing her tune once you got home about Skip giving her a bath is so funny. Why doesn't she take a shower on her own? Tell her she better shape up or you'll take her out back and hit her with the hose!
  22. I've been catching up over the past few days so am forgetting exactly which hotels my comments refer to but that stained glass door a few chapters back is beautiful! And the headboard all lit up is a neat feature. Disney always has such cool stuff and I love that you are so observant and take pics of every detail. When I visit Disney and other places I'm often so busy checking out the main areas that I sometimes overlook the small touches. You seem like a lot of fun to travel with - always up for trying something new and enjoying everything you can! Do you print out albums of your trips of the pics with the reports typed up or do you just leave everything online? My problem is that I take tons of pics and then never know what to do with them and become overwhelmed with hundreds upon hundreds of shots.
  23. Two thumbs up for the TPR photo bomber! Too funny. I'm really impressed with the way this ride turned out. Disney always does things "right" with extensive, detailed theming in all areas. The indoor section is shorter than I thought but stunning and I can only imagine how it looks in person. I don't quite understand how the faces of the dwarfs are projected but it looks like the cartoons came to life! The use of colors and songs really adds to the experience. I am an adrenaline junkie but one of the reasons I love everything Disney is that they somehow make everything fun and adults as well as kids thoroughly enjoy all the rides and park offerings. Will the lantern on the front of the mine train car light up at night? Thanks Robb for the great footage and photos from the event!
  24. Yay! I've been waiting and wondering when you'd start posting about your recent trips. Imagine my surprise when I realized I'd somehow missed that you'd already posted several installments! I've been to CA before for typical tourist stuff but never to WDL or DCA so it's nice to see your report and get a good idea of what it's like. Your hotel looks beautiful and I LOVE that headboard!! Please tell me you got a picture of it lit up and sparkling?! How cool. I've never seen a rotating shower head either. The pool looks gorgeous and enormous and the monorail slide is really neat, too bad it closed so early though. Looks like Cass and you had a blast together.
