  3. ^Two trains stacked on a coaster with three trains. Wow.
  4. 90 minutes for Scream! & Viper, those people are crazy waiting that long for those two coasters.
  5. I think this woman drove 7 miles too far on I-5 North.
  6. 2012: +17 coasters for now 2011: +8 coasters 2010: +9 coasters My visit to Six Flags Magic Mountain this year really boosted my credits.
  7. This is sad to see the State Fair's icon burn up, hopefully it will be restored. Also, is it me or does Big Tex on fire look like Ghost Rider. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bt9zSfinwFA
  8. I'm very entertained by these statistics. The US probably dropped in % on the US/Asia graph due to the recession. Keep up with the good work!
  9. ^Satisfaction...
  10. This is probably the first time in years that Lake Chabot Stadium has been used. Since you want discussion on Thrilla Gorilla, it's a nice family ride, though the gorilla is missing his middle fingers...
  11. If we are thinking about the future, I think a family ride would be very good at SFDK because there are lots of families going to SFDK more for the animals than coasters. You have to remember that SFDK is the closest counter part of a SeaWorld in Northern California. Now, with these families, if they don't like to go on coasters, they are pretty much left with going on kiddie rides. I think that a family coaster like Pandemonium or perhaps a Sally dark ride would be good for the future of SFDK.
  12. Many parks have a large inverted coaster & a Vekoma Jr. Invert such as Carowinds, Canada's Wonderland, Movie Park Germany, & Wild Adventures, so I think there's no problem with two inverted coasters at Knott's, one large and one smaller. Also, great report, SoCalCoasters.
  13. Last night I had a dream that I had a Knott's Berry Farm season pass for awhile and that I have been to the park many times, but I didn't ride Sierra Sidewinder. So, it was announced (in my dream) that Sierra Sidewinder is leaving Knott's, so I wanted to go on it before it gets removed. I stand in line and sit in the 2nd car, back seat, the seats that go up the hill backwards. After the lift hill, the coaster became really horrible and painful. I did have some airtime in my dream (what da heck!), though why did my dream have to choose that SS was a painful coaster. Whenever I had coaster dreams, I never rode a coaster as my dream would stop before then, but the first time I rode a coaster in my dream, it had to be painful. So, I walk off the coaster and think to myself that it is good that it's leaving Knott's as it isn't a good ride. Then, my dream ends. Even though the dream was filled with false facts (SS not leaving, I never rode SS, SS being painful), I found that a lot of events in my dream were inspired by events in the real world: Painfulness: Just like the pain I experienced on Green Lantern (SFMM) (Great, now GL is making my dreams horrible. ) SS Leaving: Just like how Perilous Plunge left Knott's this year for whatever is coming in 2013. Having a Knott's pass: This dream seems to be in the future as I currently don't have a KBF pass, but I'm getting one at the end of this month.
  14. Sim City 4 is a really good game, I still play it.
  15. This looks like an interesting concept as I've never seen a spinning coaster to feature a layout with a lot of forces. You sure this is Maurer? Looks more like an Intamin? Anyways, I can't wait to see the final product.
  16. So, the splashdown pool has been "confirmed" to stay, so I wonder if PP's replacement would be a coaster that goes primarily over water. I thought of something like Orkanen where a large portion of the coaster is over water. For those who don't know what Orkanen is, it is a Vekoma Jr. Inverted coaster going to Farup Sommerland next year. I would be happy to see a Vekoma Jr. Invert now that it has lap bars and it would give a fun experience. Though, I highly doubt it will replace PP, but I'll just throw this concept out there. Here's a screenshot of Orkanen from above:
