PTR: Cam and Matt Show Nay a Good Time
mcjaco replied to mcjaco's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
I have no life. I just wanted to let KD get it's moment in the sun, since we know that doesn't happen very often. -
No Limits Dictionary/Guide
mcjaco replied to paintballer's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
This is great. Once we get enough of this completed, I'll move it to the Sticky section. Thanks paintballer! -
A few weeks back Renee (nay) came to Chicago to run the Rock and Roll half marathon. Naturally, Cameron and I decided we had to show her a good time while in Chicago. And what better way to do that? Drag her along to Indiana Beach, and then Six Flags Great America (with even more TPR friends!). I hadn't been to Indiana Beach since TPR's Midwest Trip, so I was a Steel Hawg virgin. Two weeks later, and I'm still not sure what to make of it. Seriously. Standing in line, we all noticed that there were no screams, no yelling, it was dead silent. Like no one else knew what to make of it either. All in all, it was an odd coaster, that was fun, but still not as wonderful as Cornball and I actually found Hoosier Hurricane to be quite a pleasurable sensation as well. We spent most of the day there, and ate our way around the park. Indiana Beach is still one of the best little gems in the midwest, and people watching is a MUST! Anyway, onto the pics.... See you soon IB, for tomorrow we head to SFGAm! Ahh. A midwest sunset highlighted with the tones of hicks yelling, the music of .38 Special, and the whir of a Shooting Star. Cam and Nay spend a lovely ride on the insane Paratrooper. Best "haunted" house ever. I love Giant Wheels. Especially when they're made of cheese. Me gusta spanish! This man is gorgeous. And all by himself on Tigg'r. One train ops = still no good photo options. This Yo-yo scares the poo poo out of me. Your Sex is On Fire. Let the sucking begin! We have droppage of food...... Nay fears the carp. Manly persuasion finally works.... Bad 90's music while spinning? Check. How can you not? Hey, nice rack! Park Index quota met. You're welcome Larry. Ohhhh, Cornball! So we rode Cornball. Which made Cam sad. Renee and I had a little alone time on the bumper cars. Welcome to the midwest in August. Sexy picture of Cameron. You bet. Double shot time. Ride this for 8 seconds. The mechanical bull, sicko.....the mechanical bull. Gotta love the themeing. Welcome to Easter Island! Did you honestly think you would not see one of these in a IB PTR? Indiana is a little slow. So much so, it's still Christmas. INDIANA BEACH! Where else would he take us? Melbourne? Cameron welcomes us to........

What is pumpy? [NL question]
mcjaco replied to MontuWillOwnYou's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I didn't remind him, I was repsonding to his accusation that he had asked a few times. He hadn't. It asked the question once in the right thread, and almost immediately started his own thread asking the same thing. That's a no-no in any forum I've ever been a part of, even the crappy ones. Second, paintballer gave him help, not you. If people actually "searched" before posting, you'd have a legitimate argument. But they don't, which is why the Sticky threads are there. We used to have nothing but the same questions being asked over and over. The Stikies were created because many of the daily TPR Games Forum posters requested them. Instead of the snarky attitude you've decided to implore us with lately, perhaps being a part of the solution would be a better way of presenting your issues with TPR. ie: "Maybe we should have a No Limits Dictionary thread for these types of reoccuring questions." -
^ Most likely. The franchise is still too popular not to do another. I think Atari came out and said that because of all the legal issues. Someone will pick up the franchise and keep it moving.

You asked it once, and it's the last question in the NL Help Thread. You have to give it time. -
Dr. Pepper - Woodie [NL]

Unzipped file are fine to upload. Also I think that your out and back coaster should be a B&M because we haven't seen you build one of them. Per the upload rules: Reading the rules, will get you far. -

I'm not seeing where he's being defensive. He honestly thought it was good in his eyes. Saying you're not trying to be a prick, comes off as "prickish." -
I'm not Valleyfair expert, and I've not been there on a Holiday, but here's how I've gone through the park each time: - Renegade (ride until the line gets too long for you to handle) - Excalibur (get this pile out of the way) - Crazymouse - Wild Thing - Steel Venom - Corkscrew - High Roller This way you work the park back to front, and end up in the center, which allows you to get back to any of the rides in fairly short order.
-
I'd go at open, and then just head staright back to Renegade. That's the only ride I think you'll see long lines at all day. You'll probably wnat a couple fo rides on it anyway. Just get that out of the way, and hit up Excalibur immediately after that, as it's at a dead end toward the back of the park too. Not sure about Labor Day crowds, but that's how I always attack that park, as it's not horrendously big and everyone heads to Renegade.

someone, do a internet search for pic resizing. I'm sure there's a free resizer for Macs out there. Pics have to be 800x600 in order to attach them to a post at TPR. Also be aware that we use proper grammar and capitalization at TPR (hint, hint). -
^ Exactly.

ALL POSTERS MUST READ THIS!!!!
mcjaco replied to mcjaco's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Since there was an issue yesterday, I don't delete that many threads. Yesterday was the first one in a week. The poster that questioned it, should have looked at the NL Help sticky, as I merged one of his threads there. -

You expect a bunch of obsessed KD fanboys to know who Chris Paul is? It's quite obvious in this thread alone that they don't get out enough. -

That is obviously because they added Behemoth, they have higher attendance than Cedar Point as well. Obviously. Obviously! OBVIOUSLY!! I don't even see King's Dominion in the top 25. -
