  1. I've been trying to find out more info on Windseeker, but no one I talk to seems to really know what's going on. I walk by it everyday to see if any maintenance people are working on it, but they seem to be busy with Monte and it's refurbishment. If I find out anything, I'll let you guys know .
  2. Glad to hear it was pretty good! I'll have to take a trip out soon to check it out for myself .
  3. Great report Shawn! Looks likes a great time at a great park. I'll have to check it out if I ever get the chance.
  4. I thought this maze had an "ok" first year. Has a lot of potential so I'm hoping it blows it out of the water this year. I agree. Unfortunately, I'll actually be working Haunt this year so I may not get a chance to walk through it, but hopefully it improves this year. Overall, I thought it was pretty solid last year and had a lot of room to improve as a new maze.
  5. Checked out the new log ride today after coasting for kids, very impressed! It has huge nostalgic value for me from my early childhood and I'm glad they restored it so well .
  6. Just got back from a long day at the Farm. The KTLA shoot in the morning was a blast, and I had a really good time. Spent the rest of the day at the park hanging out with friends and doing other rides. Funny thing happened on Xcelerator around 5:30 P.M.. We had just gotten in line and a huge swarm of bees flew over the track after the tophat. Many people were exiting the line out of fear but we stayed in for a bit. The Train got sent and we watched in horror as the train flew directly through the massive bee swarm at high speeds. Luckily, only one ride op ended up getting stung and they closed down the ride until further notice. We exited the line and saw a huge bee pile on top of the track and the mechanics were looking on in aw. After about 30 minutes, they decided to just send the train empty a few times to clear up the bees. It was a pretty gruesome display to say the least .
  7. Just might see you there! Yeah for sure! Really excited to be a part of it .
  8. Just received an email from Knott's about the shoot on Monday. Looks like I got in as it tells me when to show up, what to wear, etc. So excited!
  9. Yeah I agree despite all the cons of Perilous Plunge, it was still a pretty good ride. However, I think it's had it's run, and the new expansion will be a much better use of the space for everybody overall. Can't wait to go check it out soon
  10. Great taco report! All of it looks so good. Remember, if you're ever in LA/Anaheim, be sure to stop by Little Caboose Tacos for a try .
  11. ...I actually support this. I would really like to see GhostRider with a couple backwards cars or (dare I say it) one or two of the cars on Coast Rider turned around. Too bad it's not going to happen. In related news, what's the condition of Coast Rider and the two flats? Was at the park on Wednesday for a Senior Trip and didn't take any pictures, but Coast Rider was testing later in the day. They had a power surge early in the morning, but it looked like they got it up and running to test later on. Didn't get a chance to look at the flats.
  12. Thanks for the amazing coverage David and Spears! This expansion is coming along nicely, especially TMLR. Really looking forward to riding the new version because the ride has a lot of nostalgic value for me as a young child.
  13. I'm not really up to date on the whole OSHA regulations and such, but has anything changed in the past years after the ride was made that would require them to shut down and change it, or would that not have anything to do with it?
  14. Another great report! Can't wait to be able to finally ride it . Thanks David and Gregg!
  15. Haha yeah I saw that comment too, had me busting up
  16. Dang this looks awesome! Sadly, I used to go to LLC alot when I was younger because my aunt lived in the area and got us season passes every year, but I haven't been in probably 4 years now. The new hotel opening and all the other new stuff that was added looks great so I'll definitely have to make my way down there this summer to check it out .
  17. Agreed. I heard rumors somewhere about a Peanuts dark ride (it was on Screamscape or Micechat, can't remember). But I think I would be really excited to see something like that put into the park. Especially with the new direction they're taking, a dark ride would be more fitting than a giant coaster at the moment if you ask me. This sounds good. I think a dark ride would be awesome considering there aren't any really in the park. Also, the current speculation of a 2015/2016 new big coaster sounds like a decent time frame to shoot for.
  18. Sounds like a pretty good day! Yeah, I don't know what it is with Green Lantern, the first two times I rode it, it was awesome, but after that I had a ride like you just mentioned and I have never been in more pain on a roller coaster.
  19. Sounds like fun! My favorite S&S I've ridden was at Marineland in Niagara Falls, Canada. It was a combo tower and had an amazing view of the falls. The only downside was it was on top of a hill and you have to climb a giant spiral path to get to the top.
  20. It's coming along nicely! Really looking forward to this area coming together.
  21. Manta at SWSD definitely gets my vote. It has a low height requirement, but is enjoyable for everyone including the die hard enthusiasts.
  22. Yolocoaster for me. They both look like great rides, but i'll be only able to ride Yolocoaster this year so it gets my vote .
  23. I'd agree with this. I love Ghostriders layout as is and think the topper track would be the better option in it's makeover.
  24. Guess I'd have to say the butterfly element on arrow loopers. They just look and feel so unnatural and uncomfortable.
