It started raining, and now my stupid wife can't stop looking through the window. If it really starts pouring down, I'm afraid I will have to let her inside.

My friend's brother who works for Dippin Dots Corporate said he heard in the quarterly conference call that it's hitting 151mph at the base of the drop now. Fastest in the world baby! Wow!!! -

They need to make a boat ride through a vineyard where you can drink wine while you ride it. -

I agree with you about the lack of communication from the park. I hope you have a great trip and everything works out. -

I get where you're coming from and understand your frustration, but you have to know that you aren't the 'typical' DW guest. The vast majority do not get a season pass for mainly one attraction; they don't follow every bit of news on how the attraction is progressing and that it's having issues; they may know there is a new coaster coming, but not that it's a RMC or has a unique element or care if they do. I also get the fact they soft opened and then shut it down again sucks; but I'd bet 90% of the public doesn't even know that took place, and I'd bet that's the 90% Dollywood are most concerned with. I'm sure they are stressed over the situation, but I doubt they see it as a huge P.R. nightmare in the long term. And I didn't mean to come off as condescending with the 'patience' remark, it's just that. . . well, here's an example of what I meant: The new attraction I'm most looking forward to this year is the 'King Kong' one at IOA. It's supposed to open June 24th. Am I going to plan a trip to be there that day? That week? That month? Nope. In fact I'll probably wait until Fall 2017. Why? Because the ride might not open that day, week or month. Because it might end up sucking. Because it will probably have a lot of technical glitches and down time. Because even if the ride turns out to be the best ever and it runs flawlessly, likely the crowds will be huge and standing in line with a mob in the Florida heat is not my idea of fun. No, I'll be patient and let the 'new' wear off and go in the off-season because with the time, effort, and money needed to make the trip, I want to give myself the best odds of having a positive experience. Again, I'm not unsympathetic to anyone frustrated with the delays; I've just seen this type of thing happen with new attractions enough times to not be surprised. I hope it opens soon; it sounds like a cool ride. -

I'm not big at sit-down restaurants at Epcot simply because there is so many good options to sample, but I'd make an exception for this. Everything looks awesome! Thanks for taking the time to post the pics Robb. -

All kidding aside, I think it's far better for Dollywood to hold off opening the ride until they are confident it will consistently run. Short term it looks bad; but long term it would be better than having a TTD-type situation where it's constantly breaking down with people waiting in hours long lines in the heat and maybe not getting a ride. I'm sure they'll figure things out- patience is a virtue. -

No. But I would go to a wine-themed park in France. If I had the money. Which I don't. -

Missed Credits: Coasters you COULD have...
Wily J replied to RIP Psyclone's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I could have ridden the Cyclone Racer at the old Pike in Long Beach; in fact my brother and I did go to ride it because we new it was going to be shut down but we chickened out at the last minute. We'd heard too many stories of people getting their heads chopped off on it (some were true) and I was only 8. In retrospect, I wish I'd done it just to say I did. (Here's some info for those who don't know about it: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=66323&p=1362091#p1362091 ) I did ride Laffin In The Dark despite the rumor there was a real dead body in it, which turned out to be true. -

It's OK Pontius Pilate, I mean PixelRush. Jesus was persecuted too. And he saved mankind. I embrace all the naysayers. And I gladly absorb all your hatred and malice. It helps feed the cold dark truth about the world around us all. The great veil that we all live in. I regret nothing, except that I was not able to shed a tear for the children. The children. We must always think of the children. For they are the innocent ones. Blind to the ever presence of dark and light. I weep for them now as mine time draws to a close. I close my eyes as the battle rages on. A battle between Heaven and Hell, of space and time. I will fight on, like a Valkyrie guarding the gates of Tartarus to not loose the Titans. I will fight on, even as the ones I fight for spit upon mine eyes and try to clip my wings. I will fight the good fight! Even for you PixelRush. Even for you. But mostly for the children. Cause' ya know, kids. #Itllneveropen You're a great man Guy T. Koepp. . . a great man! -

I had fun with it, but in retrospect I wish I had never participated. I had no idea how it was ruining so many lives.
