May 2015 we can see the area, but based off the last photo update it looks like this new ride extends out towards the behemoth pond between splash works and minebuster as there were orange markings with column numbers on them. I already bought my pass so I can do regular updates in 2015 and I mean almost daily updates like back when Leviathan was being built. -

It's going very nicely those pictures were taken about 2 weeks ago, I work and live like 5 minutes away from here. I tried getting out of my car yesterday to take pictures but they have heavy security at the staff entrance and was asked to leave lol. I'll try again soon from my car again. -

Construction on the third entrance into Canada's Wonderland is underway, and retracking of Wild Beast as-well. Took a small trip up as I live 5 minutes away, and theres a lot of construction going on in the parking lot for a third entrance into the park. It's not really anew entrance as the new hospital closed the third entrance down but part of the deal was Vaughan had to rebuild the entrance free of cost. So in 2015 we will finally have a better flow into the park and no more 1 hour wait to get in. Also looks like Wild beast is getting some make over love <3 wild beast retracking third new entrance you can see where the new bridge is going to go over the highway construction markers along the island trees cut down on island and more markers -

We will get a 10 million dollar RMC makeover soon, WMG cost 10 million so doing a RMC make over is probably in 2 years. -

My choice is going to be either a Dive Coaster (tallest and most inversions), A B&M Flyer or B&M wing coaster with TWO launches following pretty much close to your layout. -

Well, if Cedar Fair is looking at improving multiple parks in one season, B&M is not the right manufacturer for every coaster when every coaster they have constructed has been about $20 million each, and the reason why we have only seen one coaster a year with Cedar Fair for quite some time now. If they are looking at two coasters for two parks, (Valleyfair and CW) they need to look somewhere else for at least one of these coasters that would be more cost efficient. I'm seriously not trying to burst your bubble or counter anything you say but Canada's Wonderland is probably going to take up $30 million dollars with this expansion, and my reasonings do make sense; 1- Construction for this ride has started earlier then leviathan and park management has said to expect a "VERY LARGE project and if you see what they've built over the past several years expect innovative and big". 2- Canada's Wonderland is the most attended regional park in North America. 3- they removed a looping coaster from our coaster count and 2016 falls under the every 4 years Cedar Fair adds a big coaster to CW. Now in support of your idea of Valley Fair getting a big coaster in 2016, you'll notice Cedar Fair didnt build much for 2015 or any big coaster, and our construction here at CW has started really early. So the cost of this 2016 coaster for CW may fall under the 2015 additions cost and not 2016 as they usually have to pay up when construction starts. Just satying that sounds logical but I could be wrong, however I'm sure anyone who follows coaster projects can agree this is going to be a $25 million dollar+ coaster project and I can link you to articles that say this is "A VERY LARGE PROJECT" Fury 325 is not a big coaster?[/qu OH SNAP, TOUCHE. however still doesn't disprove all the stuff happening that CW is getting a massive addition in 2016 so maybe 2 parks will? Read this article I post. http://metronews.ca/news/canada/1121159/after-29-years-canadas-wonderlands-skyrider-being-retired/ -

Credit to CWFANSITE & INTHELOOP for the recent pictures, really enjoy the updates they have been providing. So the stake in the ground is very similar to Leviathans stakes in the ground C19 (coloumn 19) is used in the coaster construction industry for supports. It's already beginning to look like another big coaster project even though the articles have pretty much hinted towards it. Thoughts? new construction markers near Skyrider. There has always been very untrue rumors surrounding wonderland, two rumors of it moving away from Vaughan surfaced back in the day and that was untrue. What they might have meant and Matt Ouimet even said in a podcast once was Wonderland was one of the most beautiful parks in the world and a hidden gem. The employee might have meant were going to be the best park in the chain. I mean if you look at our investments lately they are MASSIVE! Behemoth, Leviathan, Guardian (two coaster in 3 years with another massive project being built now so thats 4 coasters built in a 8 year period! That being said if the park was going anywhere they wouldn't be building a massive 2016 addition. -

Yes Wonderland got two new coasters in the past 3 years, but we already have significant land clearing and read this article and the quotes. Don't be jelous that Wonderland is Cedar Fairs new Gem bringing in large attendance numbers for a seasonal theme park, Highest attended seasonal park in North America. -------The difficult decision to close SkyRider was due in part to the aging coaster’s location. The ride sits on 5,100 square metres of prime land between the water park and Wonder Mountain, and the park’s executives decided the spot would be a perfect place for their next big attraction. Phillips was tight-lipped about what that attraction might be or how long it will take to complete. “All I can tell you is it’s a very large construction project,” he said. “If you look at our history, over the last five to seven years, I think guests know it will be something exciting.”------- http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2014/08/07/after_29_years_skyriders_ride_comes_to_an_end.html -

sorry to burst your bubble but Canada's Wonderland is getting a massive coaster in 2016 and Cedar Point probably will to Canada's Wonderland is not getting a huge coaster. They got Leviathan which is massive enough, Behemoth for the mega coasters, so expect something other than a massive coaster. They could get something decent at low cost (like a modern woodie) so Valleyfair can get their massive coaster, which could still be a low price tag since massive at Valleyfair would still be around 150 to 199 ft. They've started land clearing a year and a half early so trust me Canada's Wonderland is getting another 30 million dollar coaster, just read the news stories from the park with reporters where they say you saw we built leviathan and behemoth so expect big and innovative They can start land clearing three years ago, it doesn't mean another massive coaster. Yes it does mean a coaster, but im not seeing anything over 20 million. Valleyfair has been stated multiple times of major investment for quite a long time now officially. What you are basing a massive coaster at Canada's Wonderland is only speculation. I'm so certain I'm willing to bet you this coaster will be big and over 25 million dollars, I'll bet you $100 thats how certain i am. -

It appears I was way off and blind, I was there at 8pm for Haunt and I only saw it from Cornstalkers... So the fences are up and the pathway untouched, however I do know I saw bridges forsure over the track/river portion of White water canyon that was not for Haunt Guess I didn't read your post very well lol, sorry. Other than that, you weren't far off! My brother swore he saw saw something in the White Water Canyon area when we were on either Behemoth or Minebuster (can't recall which ride it was, we rode each one a few times) but I didn't read much into it because I didn't see it myself. I guess there's a chance that could have bee the bridges you mentioned. Yeah the bridges were like made out of wood and yellow metal tubes def related to this construction project as they weren't any where near haunt related stuff. By the way I really appreciate your update and pictures, it's awesome to see this project unfold as its starting so early! Anybody notice the bulldozer under the lift/drop and all the gravel and piles of dirt! EXCITING LOL cough cough coaster nerd ;$ -

It's so much better then Guardian, the ride stops twice for a Zombie horde and the end sequence is so much better then the dragon ending. It is seriously a different ride as Zombies. -

Construction update as of October 3, 2014. Things have picked up a bit in terms of we now know where this coaster plot of land is heading. The construction area is SOOOOO LARGE! They built large bridges over White water Canyons track/ river for construction OVERVIEW Red= construction barriers blocking large part of park off. Orange is removal of ride and spray painted line on grass, Blue is fencing and pathway demolished. all the fences and paths here are GONE this section of fencing is also gone removed stands construction fence -

2008- Behemoth ($21 million Canadian) 2009(nothing) 2010- planet snoopy (unknown $investment amount) 2011-Windseeker, Starlight spectacular ($5 million US for Windseeker, unknown $investment for starlight spectacular). 2012- Leviathan, Dinosaurs alive ($28 million US for Leviathan, unknown $investment amount for Dinosaurs alive) 2013- monsters of the deep movie for action theater, Starlight spectacular water/ light show upgrade(unknown $investment amount but probably very small). 2014- Wonder Mountain Guardian ($10 million dollars US) 2015- splash station/ recycled typhoon slide (unknown $ investment but probably small) This is where you can see they usually spend a lot of money on a large investment and then around $10 million dollars 2 years after. So 2016 would be our large investment which they have told media is a LARGE, INNOVATIVE investment, which will be located where Skyrider was and in 2018 I honestly have a feeling we might see a $10 million dollar RMC make over of our Wildebeast. Iron rattlers RMC renovation only cost $10 million US, and Cedar Fair has proven they are willing to spend 10 million after a big addition (WMG). So my prediction; 2016- Ziz B&M multi-launched Wing Coaster to beat Thunder Bird but it wont beat Cedar Points largest loop and largest drop, we will hold the longest and fastest Wing coaster title. 2017- Kiddie area improvement 2018- Rocky Mountain Coaster reno of our Wildebest. -
