Just came from VIP day for the new rides!! Both rides are outstanding new additions to the park. Riddler Revenge reminds me of maXair at CP. However, that being said, Riddler is clearly the better ride. RR seems to me to go faster than maXair and swing up higher! I also appreciate the location of the ride right next to Sky Screamer. This makes for some amazing close encounters with riders on SS. The ride itself starts slowly and builds up height and speed until it reaches it's max of 147 feet, with a max speed of about 70 mph. By this time riders are either thrilled or losing their lunch! Catwoman Whip is a G Force machine much like the Huss Enterprises! But to me CW seemed more intense. Perhaps it's the open feel of the suspended seats as opposed to the gondolas on rides like the old Spinnaker. One word of warning! This ride is a puke machine!!! I would wait awhile between rides and never ride right after you've eaten!! VIP Day!!!! Purrrfect!!!! Riddle me this!!! Another happy group of riders!! Hello Sky Screamer!! Impressive lighting!!! Endeavor 48 is an impressive design by Zamperla!! Powerful hydraulics!! Spin baby spin!!! Try not to lose your lunch!!!

Here are some of my pics from yesterday's commercial shoot. Most of the riders had to sit for hours waiting for camera men to make adjustments before the ride even started. These poor riders had to sit for a long time waiting for adjustments to be made in the filming equipment Judging from their reaction, Catwoman Whip must be an amazing ride! Commercial shoot Riders sit for hours to allow directors to get the footage they need Technicians work on the camera mount before filming on Catwoman Whip A camera man films riders on Harley Quinn Spinsanity This time there were no riders. They were just testing the camera rig Riders pose with their hands in the air for camera men I hope those restraints are secure!!!! Preparing to film a commercial Camera rig on Catwoman Actors pose for a camera man on a motionless Spinsanity These photos will be used for print ads This is one of my favorite shots. Here you can see Riddler and Sky Screamer together.

^Yes, I mentioned that in one of my earlier posts. The Endeavor 48 is also called the Giant Endeavor. And those 48 seats not only allow you to sit next to your friends, but they also allow for tremendous rider capacity!!! If you watch YouTube videos of the Coney Island Endeavor you can clearly see it only has the single seating. It also appears smaller than our Giant Endeavor.

Actually, I'm not sure which ride I'm looking forward to the most. Both look great!! We all know how good these Giant Discoveries are but how many of us have ever ridden an Endeavor? I have ridden the old Huss Enterprise rides many times, but never an Endeavor. But just looking at the ride when I'm at the park, it looks to me like it would be incredibly fun to ride. If that's true then having both of these rides added at same time is a fantastic upgrade to our park's ride collection!

Knowing SF they might just remove Green Lantern from SFMM and send it to SFSTL. I wouldn't trust corporate decision making with regards to SFSTL one iota. This year, for example, you guys get a Larson Looper as your only addition. But, apparently, you lost another good flat ride (Rush Steet Flyer) in the process. Meanwhile SFOT receives a Giant Discovery and a Giant Endeavor from Zamperla. Those two plus a complete refurb and re-theme of the existing Huss Troika. To be fair, SFFT received a Larson Looper as well. But they also got Hurricane Force 5 (Zamperla Disk-O) and a brand new Tilt-A-Whirl to add to their Boardwalk. True, they lost another flat (Frisbee) but they gain three flats in return. By my way of thinking, SFSTL should have received a flat ride package, not just one flat ride. It makes me think that SF corporate assigns less importance to this park than they do to others. SFSTL is located in a relatively scenic area with plenty of room to expand. If SF did the right thing they would change the park's name back to Six Flags Mid-America and begin making capital investments similar to what CF is doing with Carowinds, itself a former regional theme park. SFSTL should finally become the flagship park it was intended to be in the first place instead of falling into mediocrity. Just my 2 cents.

Personally, I still don't know why SFSTL can't make a large capital investment on a major new attraction (read: coaster). If SFOT can invest money in a ride like NTAG, and SFFT can invest in IRAT, both of which are huge successes, then I don't see why SFSTL can't do something similar. If an RMC Boss conversion is out of the question, then at least let RMC build something for you. An Outlaw Run type coaster would be an awesome addition to the park. SF corp just can't see it's way clear to give this park something special?
